<Gayo> >> The group slams roughly into the ground, kicking up dirt, Gathering their bearings, they find themselves among the tall grass of the Adlehyde prairie...directly ahead looms a huge, monolithic stone structure, the only inconsistency in the gently rolling landscape until the mountainous horizon. It appears to be an ancient structure...the stones have been worn by centuries of wind and rain.

* Allen rubs his nose, painfully. "Oww.. ow ow. ow." * Looks around.

<Gayo> * Joseph stands up, brushing himself off. "...I think this is the Temple of Memory, in Adlehyde..."
* Allen remembers what he was doing and stands, looking about for that assassin and Samantha.
<Gayo> >> There's a trail where the grass has been flattened by someone rushing through...it leads off to the side of the temple.
* Allen takes off down the trail.
<Allen> .oO( I don't know if I'll be able to save Sam by myself.. but I have to try. )
<Gayo> >> Allen gets to the side of the temple in time to see a dark shape disappearing into a large crack running up the wall.
<Allen> .. you'd think they'd teach you a "Light" spell at the Abbey, but no...
* Marlene sits, stands, lays? with her shoulders pressed against the ground, neck in a kink, and her rear up in the air, legs dangling down in her sight "Aaaah!! The world's turned upside down!!"
* Allen delves into the dark crack in the wall.

* Marlene tilts her head side to side, poping out the kinks "Thanks Joey!"

* Marlene shrugs "Follow him I guess... who knows what kinda trouble he'll get himself in..."
<Gayo> >> Allen finds himself in total darkness...he can hear the sound of shuffling bodies, but it's all black.

* Allen waits for a moment for his eyes to adjust to the darkness.
* Marlene leads the way like the brave frontier girl she is, heading into the crack after Allen

<Gayo> >> After a moment in pitch darkness the group is actually able to see faintly...they're in what was once a dead-end hallway - an open, rusted chest lies in front of them, its contents plundered. THere seems to be more light coming from around the corner of the passage...
* Allen follows the light, hoping to find a torch or something..
* Marlene ponders on lighting some strands of bomb wick for illumination
<Gayo> >> The passage gives way to another, illuminated dimply by the light of torches which burn eerily without smoke. The inside of the temple seems to be one huge room, with thin passages winding between pits and sections of wall.

<Gayo> >> The corridor traversed, the three of them head down the stairs. The basement is darker, no natural light at all finding its way in, but otherwise looks similar to the first. The pits on this floo are clearly lined with spikes, however. Allen lies on the floor a little ways ahead, unconscious.
