* Rachel snaps her eyes open as a golden light engulfs the sword, making it shine and shimmer. Rachel quickly twirls the sword so the blade is pointing downwards and proceeds to drive it into the deck! Nothing happens for a moment before cracks of light appear beneath Cody and bathe Cody in a healing glow!
* Cody blinks, and stands up much straighter, his wounds fading away.
* Cody looks to Rachel and smiles gratefully. ^^

* Tori rushes forward and wraps his hand around furcht's face...if you were near, you could hear bone grinding on bone.

* Tori begins to glow..softly at first, then brighter and more intense...

* Tori looks back over his shoulder, at the group huddled around Rahne's fallen form.

* Rahne 's tranquil rest is only broken by her ragged, weak breaths.. *

* Niki flies back and lands on her butt.

* Cody continues to cradle and heal Rahne while watching Tori in muted horror.

<GMStoren> She supports Niki to her feet, only able to watch, as time seems to slow down.... the light grows brigther, almost obscuring the two.

* Niki looks at Chira. "I can't get to them..."
<Roric> ...sometimes there isn't a right or a wrong...
<Roric> ...and the best we can do...is try to understand.
* Roric bites his lip.
* Tori throws his head back and looks all around..his view falls on the crows still watching from the rooftops...
<Tori> (w)You'll be quiet now, won't you?
* Tori is completely lost in the pillar of light..it shoots towards the heavens and splits the sky.
<Rhiana> ...it's at times like this, I wish I was better at dealing with people.
* Roric rubs his beleaguered eyes with his dirt-encrusted thumb and index finger.\
<Rhiana> ...it's actually disheartening...here I am...I've come all this way...and I'm an accomplished mage and strategist...and there's nothing I can do here..
* Cody contiunes to sob quietly.
<GMStoren> The light extends into the heavens, dividing the clouds, pushing them back into the shadowy north... all around the crows protest loudly and flee as a balck cloud from every rooftop and pillar in the garden..
<Roric> ..fairy..
<Roric> ..what was that?
<Chrys> ...........sometimes.....sometimes even the goddess herself is powerless...
* Rachel is silent..

* Chrys looks down at the quiet, resting body of Rahne..

* Chrys blinks, a faint glimmer of hope sparking up..
<GMStoren> The light diffuses outward, washing over the park.... in it's cenetr you see Tori... laying upon the foot of the fountain. A seems to be resting...
* Roric picks up Tori's torn, discarded hat and stands, fingering the ashen brim.
* Cody blinks and looks down to Rahne, "...Rahne?"
<GMStoren> It's then the stillness is broken by a single sound... the sound of a dove alighting upon his head.

* Roric places his hand on Tori's chest, fingers dyed red from the blood soaking his clothes.

<GMStoren> Chira joins Roric, and begins to chant healing magics... mending some of the worse damage, she looks like she wants to cry in joy.

* Roric nods imperceptibly, as if answering himself. He lifts his hand from Tori's chest and pats his cheek lightly. "Are ya still with us?"
* Cody nods, and picks her up gently.

* Niki walks over to Rahne and Cody.
* Niki takes her ring back. ^^;
* Tori suddenly stirs and leans forward, his hair falling in his face.
* Tori yawns the huge yawn of the well-rested.
* Roric starts backward, but rapidly composes himself and smiles a little.
* Tori stretches..then blinks a few times under the hair obscuring his view.

* Niki supports Rahne as well now.
