* Chrys blinks as a gun is pointed at him. "The hell? What the fuck do we have to do with anything?"

* Niki spins around a bit, her axe dragging along the ground. The axe creates a small circle around herself. In an instant vines emerge from the circle and completely surround Niki. Soon afterwards the vines glow a faint green and she is launched high into the sky. While airborn she looks down at Schatten C and takes aim. The bloodsoaked axe drips down through the heavens, leaving a target marker on Schatten C.
* Niki grasps her axe with both hands and starts spinning forward; gaining momentum. She continues to spin as she decends. After a few seconds she throws her axe with all her might. The axe embeds itself in the enemies torso, and Niki lands on the vines which cradle her fall and spring her forward. She flies past Schatten C yanking out her axe as she does.
<GMStoren> You notice the guards chasing most of the shadows away, but as they flee, you see no Cody anywhere...

<GMStoren> Chira tries to smile, but she's still worried and nervous, hoping noone heard them yell that.

<GMStoren> She turns down towards the deeper passage and the buzzing.

<GMStoren> You pass a few more locker sets, and the halls become plated with metal. It's not long before you find the source of all the racket. It's a shaft, with what appears to carts upon a linked plate chain moving up and down. The buzzing is the scraping of each cart's edge against the laoding dock here. It seems to go down into the lower reaches below the castle, and up, most likely to the west wing or the mountainside itself.
<Niki> Ooh, we get to ride this?
<Rachel> ....
<GMStoren> [Chirashilynn] We can go up here... it should elt out near the quarry. The place isn't far from there.
<Niki> Cool! :D
* Niki jumps onto a cart going up.
<GMStoren> [Chirashilynn] Wait... you might get hurt if you do that!
* Niki travels upwards and decides to touch her bump again. Everyone down below hears an echo. "OW.. Ow.. ow..."

<GMStoren> Niki goes up.. up.. up.. clink clink clink.. and she's met with the darkened sky soon, a view of rocks and equipment strewn about the Larecian quarry. The landing scraps against the cartside harshly, offering her a moment to debark before it loops back down.

* Niki hops off and waits.

* Rachel hops into a cart going up, drawing her sword... "C'mon, guys...you only live once, right? Wait, that's not encouraging."
* Niki gets impatient and yells down. "HURRY UP!"

* Niki looks up and slightly grimaces.
<GMStoren> Sure enough a crat coming down scoops up rachel and sends her for the ride.

* Niki hurries over to a single ray of light shining and sits under it.

<GMStoren> One after another the group rides the carts up, Chira following along last. You're all out in the open, and you can see the castle wall before you. Past some of the idling mining machinery, there's a path winding down the side through some dirt piles... it seems to go back into the town area.

* Rachel grins slightly before pointing to the path. "Following that."

* Rachel arches an eyebrow but takes up the lead...

* Cody keeps an eye out for trouble.
<GMStoren> As you clear the messy quarry site, you find the path turning towards what appears to be a elegant building on the outskirts of town, though it seems to sag in the dark atmosphere somewhat. It's inlaid with many designs of pirits of mana, and has an empty fountain in front of it.. a dove that at one time had water acscading from it's mouth into the pool below. The area around seems deserted, but you see fires burning not far off.

<Rachel> ...
<GMStoren> [Chirashilynn] That must be the procession that way... but we'll never be able to get past all the soldiers with him safely.
<Cody> Barbaric...making a specticle out of an execution...

<GMStoren> [Chirashilynn] This building... *looks it over* At one time it was a beautiful garden underground.. a musuem of relics found in the mines. but when the king died it fell into ruin...
<Niki> How do we get in so we can go get him?
<GMStoren> [Chirashilynn] If you passed through it you could go to the Hill of Doves... a place where the birds used to gather. But since those events, the park there has now become a site of death, rather than life. -_-;
* Cody shakes his head.
<Rachel> ...we'll fix things somehow...
<GMStoren> [Chirashilynn] It's where they will take him, where they executed anarchist leaders some time ago publically. If we hurry, we could cut them off and get away...
* Rachel nods. "Let's hurry, then...."
<Niki> Yeah.
<GMStoren> Chirashilynn pushes open the doors of the building, as they creak in protest.
<GMStoren> Beyond it lays a large lobby, with stone stairs leading downwards into the earth. There are rope barreirs laying on the floor, no doubt to keep tourists in line at one time.
<GMStoren> « everyone alive? ^^; »
* Rachel steels herself and starts inside...
<Rachel> <<Sorry...I'm barely hanging on. I finally finished the damn essay. ^^;>>

* Cody follows behind quietly, wondering what this place used to look like at one time...how beautiful it could have been
<GMStoren> The place has a very stale air, and is dark without the light streaming in through large windows. Some light globes are cracked and unlit, but fortunately the stairs are sturdy enough.
<Cody> «ooc: Hmm. Honey Bee Manor Music. Sort of...uh...doesn't fit. »
* Niki takes a step onto the stairs then stops. "You know, if I fall a long ways down again then....I dunno, but I'll be mad!"
<Rachel> Hey, it could be worse...there could snakes and spiders and...well, you get the picture.
<Cody> ...Or giant gorillas....er...let's not go there.
<GMStoren> The stone steps extends down a small ways into an underground concourse. It has a singular hall running ahead, with a few branches at the far end. You can see a variety of pots that hold now only dying plants, decorating the carpeted floor. To your right and left lie rows and rows of exhibits in glass and no, each bearing a plaque describing it.
<Niki> You can step on them...or chop their heads off.  But falling sucks.
* Rachel blinks at Cody and stumbles a little. "G...wha.." O_o
* Cody blushes beet red, "Don't mind me... ^^;;;"
<Niki> «ooc: <Cody> Sorry, I was watching Congo. ^^; »
<Niki> Oh well, come on.
<Cody> «ooc: I'm telling you. It's cuz of the HBmannor song! I had this mental image of Cody in a bee suit shaking his ass around with a stinger on it, with rachel giggling »
* Niki starts down, holding her ring out so it can glow and show the way.
<Cody> «ooc: I scared myself. GO ME! »
<GMStoren> Chirashilynn looks around the landing and finds a small switch, and flips it. The bulbs along the path light up... well, at least a good 1/2 of them that still function. The hall is now unevenly lit, allowing a better veiw of the museum-garden. ^^;

* Cody nods quietly, and reaches down to finger a leaf of a long dead plant, before continuing.

<Niki> «ooc: * Niki bitches out Joch for eating the plant in the first place. »
<GMStoren> « Nah, i'll just amke him eat someone's hair *grin* ^_- »
<Cody> «ooc: Kweh! »
<Niki> «ooc: Joch is....Ash's cat! »
* Rahne tags along, as silent as ever. *

<GMStoren> You pass by a few notable exhibits, like one of an ancient pistol, and globes Rahne recognizes as highly advanced Veedios.
* Niki takes one of Joch's feathers and puts in in Niki's hair. Joch Choco kicks Chris then runs off.

"Following the holocaust caused in Lorima by Vandole, and the abuse of the powers of Mana by mortal men, the spirits of mana sent their beast to smash the fortress... but not before Vandole sent an escape ship carrying prince Julius I away from the catastrophe."
