* Cody suddenly stops moving entirely, his body twitching ever-so slightly. His eyes seem to pulse and fade, and then go blank, as if he has stepped away from himself on the inside. A faint glow of energy rises up from Cody's body, an ebbing and swirling green cloak of magic.

* Cody 's pendant begins to chime slowly and delicately, like a tiny bell, pealing for attention. Its quiet tones echo into the surrounding landscape, almost becoming lost to the overall silence

* Cody 's aura then starts to chime as well, a rich and resonant tone answering each of the pendant's. The two sounds fill the air, and the swirling of Cody's aura intensifies.

<Cody> >> Soon after, the barrier itself answers the tiny peals of sound with a chime of its own. A low, throbbing boom of sound, almost too low to hear, but powerfull enough to feel. The vibration roars outwards, disturbing all it touches, sending debris and pebbles scurrying in its wake.

* Cody pauses for a long moment, as if preparing. Then with a mighty thrust, he forces his fist upwards into the shield! It explodes into pieces, the pieces shatter into fragments, and the fragments burst into dust, and then fade into the nothingness that made them.

* Niki turns and covers her eyes.

* Cody stands amidst the dissipating barrier shards, heedless of the event caused by his hand. Quickly, his eyes begin to return to normal, and his body slackens slightly, as conciousness returns slowly. But something seems amiss, as his eyes begin to focus and unfocus rapidly.

* Rachel steps closer to touch Cody's shoulder...
