* Cody is lying on a bed in one of the many guest rooms. His hands are clasped behind his head as support, and he's staring at the wall, figuring out how he should approch Miss Luka. ^^
<Cody> . o O ( How should I go about this...I don't even know where to start...? What if she doesn't know...? Then what will I do? )
* Cody shakes his head and sits up, rubbing his eyes tiredly, and he walks to the door and opens it.
<Cody> Now which way was it to Luka's chamber...? :/
<GMStoren> You peer out into the hallway, recalling the chambers of the Sage were upstairs, this being the lower level of the Palace.
* Cody wraps his shawl around his shoulders, and heads down the hall and up the stairs, careful not to disturb the others.
<GMStoren> The stairs upward lay by a small trickling waterfall, an ancient gate raised above them, allowing access to the floor above.
* Cody stops for a moment to admire the beauty of the place, despite himself. ^^
<GMStoren> Coming out of the landing, you notice a girl with a broom sweeping the marbled hallways.
* Cody blinks and looks at the girl... "Rahne?"
<GMStoren> As you admire the scenery, you focus on her, seeing the telltale.. well.. tail... sticking out of her dress. :)

* Rahne 's ears cock back to the sound of his voice just moments before she looks up. * Cody?
* Rahne smiles. * Oh, hi, Cody! ^_^
<Cody> ^^ Hi. How are you doing? Okay, I hope?
* Rahne tail swishes a bit. * Well.. now that I'm back here again, it's chores as usual. I usually do this sort of thing late at night, so I'm not underfoot during the day. I can't say I was expecting to see anyone up so late. ^^;
* Rahne looks concerned. * Are you feeling better?
* Cody tries to smile, but it seems a touch forced. "A little bit...Time's good for healing wounds, I guess...I was going to talk to Miss Luka now...she's around, right?"
* Rahne nods. * She's always around. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen her leave the Palace. ^^; She's probably reading up in her quarters right now. If you'd like to see her, I'm sure it wouldn't be too troublesome.
* Rahne leans her broom in some out-of-the-way recess. * Would you like me to take you to her?

* Rahne smiles. * Well.. for most people, it's simply in and up the stairs. It was torture for me to get used to the place when I first arrived here too. Even now, there's alot of it I don't know very well. ^^;
* Rahne tail swishes back and forth. * Shall we be off?

<GMStoren> Very far down the chamber you catch a small glimpse of the Water Seed, as the setting sun casts a final reddish glow through the stained glass windows.
* Cody blinks, gazing at the seed for a moment through the stained glass.
<GMStoren> << it's not THROUGH it.. just all the windows are casting the glow. :) >>
<Cody> «ooc: OH. Blah. Um...nix that? :P »
* Rahne waits for a moment, smiling, while Cody admires the seed. *
* Cody shakes his head as if to clear it, and follows Rahne.
* Rahne escorts Cody to Luka's chamber, all the while looking as though she wanted desperately to speak, but seemed quite unable.. *

* Rahne looks at Cody with pleading eyes for one last moment, before smiling warmly as she turns to knock on the chamber door. *
<GMStoren> Rahne's knock on the ancient door is not responded to vocally.. but the door seems to swing open of it's own accord.
* Cody looks and Rahne and shuffles his feet, as if he wants to say something important to her, but is tounge tied.
* Cody stps back a bit. "Does it always do that?"
* Rahne smiles, and nods. * Yeah.. another one of those long-term-get-used-to things. ^^;
<GMStoren> You see Luka sitting in a very old chair, amidst a sea of both bookshelves and waterfalls, creating a stare mix of knowledge and nature in the room. ^^

* Cody turns back to Luka, a sad look on his face. "I was hoping you'd have some answers to my questions...Do you know why I'm having dreams like this...? I guess you know about them...you act like you know..."

<Cody> Very much so...At first, I just had them once in awhile...Now...I have them whenever I sleep. Even if it's a nap.
<Cody> And I don't know why I'm having them...it'd be easier to deal with them If I just knew why...-_-

* Cody frowns at this. "Then...are you saying that there's a darker part of me or something? Or that I'm suicidal and don't know it? I always dream that I die..."

Then this...snake like thing inside the ball destroyed the town inside...and it started filling up with blood...and the bauble cracked and...

* Cody lets out a shakey breath, and opens his eyes. "Do you know what it is?"

<Cody> Visions...of things to come? O_o Are you saying I might be a prophet?

<GMStoren> [Luka] I cannot help but think that these visions might be harbingers of things to come.

<Cody> I didn't know this until recently...but my parents had a son named Dyluck. He was a general...

<GMStoren> [Luka] When Randi fell to the dark forces, it was quite a way from Kippo Village... for the Mana Sword to find it's way there is speculation at best.
<Cody> Wasn't Randi a friend of Dyluck?
<Cody> Maybe he wanted to hide the sword there.

* Cody opens the chamber door, then closes it gently.

<GMStoren> Luka bows slightly, then turns to a bookcase, a concerned look on ehr face now that was not there before... the door closes.
* Cody steps out of the chamber, heading to the place that Rahne said she'd be at. ^^
* Rahne is waiting there, leaning against a marble pillar, looking at the entrance Cody comes through, her tail swaying lazily and a small smile on her face. * Hey Cody.. How'd things go?

* Cody looks a touch troubled still. "I found some answers to my questions...I just didn't like a lot of them..."

<Cody> I use it to help people on this quest...but I hate using it. I feel sick...because I feel like I'm some freak of nature when I do.

* Cody nods. "I'd love to go...I'm still a little sore from all that fighting. I'm not used to it."
<Rahne> After the way Roric spoke to Miss Luka earlier today, it's kinda hard not to fall into that trap..

* Rahne extends her hand. * Onwards and downwards, to the spring?
* Cody smiles, and takes her hand. "Yes...let's go. :)"

<GMStoren> Hand in hand, you both head from the Inner Cloister to the stage area, where the entrance to the spring is off to the left. :)
<GMStoren> However, as Cody approaches the resting place of the Seed, he begins to feel a little strange..
* Cody blinks, and rubs his eyes with his free hand.
<Ashton> «ooc: <Cody> Mmm, seed... *drool* »
<Cody> «ooc: THe phallic symbol of it all! »
<Cody> «ooc: Erhm. Actually, that's teh Mana SWORD :p »
* Rahne looks at him sideways. * Everything alright?
<Ashton> «ooc: "For a brief moment, the sword and seed become one!" »
<GMStoren> The air around the seed starts rippling in waves of blue energy, that radiate outward as if the room tiself were an ocean..
* Cody doesn't answer Rahne, seeming transfixed by looking at the seed and the rippling blue energy radiating from it, feeling oddly peaceful.
<GMStoren> Cody feels each wave that washes over him, sending an odd chill down his spine. It feels like you are one with the oceans as you stand here.
* Rahne face is etched with concern, a hint of panic laying just barely underneath. * Cody?
* Cody continues to look at the seed, feeling the energy wave pulse him each time, yet even with the chill he still feels the peace. He still doesn't hear Rahne.
<GMStoren> In a blink of an eye, you find yourself staring at the plain ol Seed.
* Rahne turns to face him, looking him directly in the face. * Cody!
<Cody> Ah-! 
* Cody falters a bit, looking like he lost his equallibrim for a moment, then rights himself.
* Rahne breathing is a bit sped up, worry embedded throughout her words. * Are you okay? What's wrong?
<Cody> I...I'm sorry...I must have spaced out for a moment...
* Cody rubs his eyes. "It's just...I must be tired..."
* Cody 's breathing, which was oddly slow earlier, returns to normal. "I'm sorry I worried you, Rahne..." His voice sounds absolutely sincere.
* Rahne doesn't look like she quite buys that line, but accepts and trusts nonetheless. *
<Rahne> << Ack... place that one above Cody's. ^^; >>
<Rahne> << I blame lag. ^^ >>

<Rahne> Do you.. are you.. still wanting to visit the springs.. or no?

* Rahne is still holding his hand, and moves to continue her escort of him, though she's looking at him alot more often than before. *
* Cody follows, really believing that he was tired and he was spacing out...but at the same time, not beleving...
