Chapter 2 - Pandora's Box
Session Start: Fri Sep 08 20:43:02 2000- Pandora Road | Mana Holy Day, Night -
<GMStoren> It's been a couple of hours since the two mercenary women and their saddened companion left the chaos that was once Kippo, to head northwards to the city of Pandora. The trade road was easy to follow, but the darkness of night is creeping upon you.
<GMStoren> Through the underbrush and beaten path, you finally reach a clearing with a small sign on the wayside. :)
* Rachel has been unusually quiet while traveling and thus curiously observes the sign in silence.
* Cody follows behind the two taller women silently, a melancholy look on his face.
<Keylia> Hey Cody, try not to look so down... we're going to find out what really happened back there.
<Cody> Yeah...
<GMStoren> Keylia bends over a little to read the sign, which is a guidepost for a fork ahead. The road in the dim light splits into two other paths, leading north and east respectively.
<Keylia> Well, it's northward ho, unless you wanna sightsee in Potos... ^^
* Rachel murmurs. "Maybe on the way back, hmm? Let's go north..."
<Cody> No...Let's go to Pandora...
<GMStoren> A chilly wind starts to pickup and rustle the trees. Fortunately the wildlife seems rather passive so far, other than an occasionally sleeping rabite. ^^
* Rachel shuffles her sword from one shoulder to another and starts off north without saying anything.
* Cody pulls his shawl tighter around him, glancing around as he continues on.
<Cody> ...Rachel?
* Rachel, for a moment, doesn't seem to hear Cody before she blinks and answers. "Uh, yeah?"
<GMStoren> The path north leads into more trees, and around a shallow river. The fresh water running in it sounds comforting...
<Cody> Did you...Did you take the sword from your room?
<Rachel> Yeah. I'll give it back if you want. My sword got broken.
* Rachel glances at the water for a few minutes but keeps moving along, making sure not to leave the others behind with her quick steps. ^^;
* Keylia stays alert, one hand never leaving the chain of her sickle. "Yeah, that was too bad. Guess you lucked out huh, Rachel?"
<Rachel> I suppose you could say that...I wish the sword hadn't been broken, though.
<Cody> Oh no...that's okay. You keep it...I'm sure it'll be put to good use...
* Rachel looks a little glum at that and shakes it off to nod back at Cody. "I'll make sure it is."
* Cody smiles a little. ^^;
<Keylia> I can always pay for a replacement. :)
* Cody looks around. "Should we make camp soon? I can go as long as you need me too."
* Rachel smiles faintly at Key. "Thanks. And I think Cody has a point about camp..."
* Keylia looks around the stream. "We might do best to do that. I'm not sure traveling these woods at this time is really a smart thing to do."
<Keylia> Of course, I'd have no trouble, but I have you guys along after all! Haha! ^_^
<Rachel> Of course, Ms. Mighty Woman. ^_-
* Keylia, lowers her sickle to make an x on a bank near a bend in the river. "This'd be best. Most monsters here won't cross water, and the ones in the streams are docile with the Water Palace close, so we'll be safe."
<Cody> Sorry if I'm a burden, Keylia... ^^;
* Rachel nods again and heads to the spot, idly unpacking as she goes. ^^;
<Keylia> Whatcha say? Wanna check into Hotel Keylia? We have great rates! ^_-
* Cody chuckles a little. "Maybe I can pay for my rate by cooking dinner?" ^^;
* Keylia pulls out a rolled up tarp that unfolds to a nice size for a tent, to which she also produces several stakes. ^^
* Cody heads to the X and begins to unpack his belongings, then unfurls what appears to be a sleeping bag.
<Keylia> Well if you want to, go ahead... I think I'm sleepy from all your good home cooking. *stretches*
* Rachel listens in to the friendly banter as she unhooks the top part of her armor, idly stripping it off to reveal a form-fitting tunic underneath. She is somewhat skinner than she should be. ^^;
<Cody> It's up to you two, really. I'm...not very hungry right now...
<Rachel> Ah, I'm not hungry either. I say we just sleep...
* Keylia props the makeshift tent up, big enough for about two people. "I can't argue with that. But maybe I should take first watch just incase, and scout the area. All that fun stuff." ^^
<Rachel> You sure?
* Cody fumbles through his bag. "I could have sworn I brought matches..."
<Keylia> Yeah, I'll be fine!
* Rachel nods a little and yawns, crawling into the tent. "Right! Uh, have fun! Try not to get eaten!"
* Keylia overhears Cody. "Need a light kiddo?"
<Cody> Um... ^^; You have matches? I know I brought some...but they're hiding from me...
* Keylia flicks a finger and a small spark of flame comes out. It suddenly goes out as she blushes.
<Cody> O_o Wow...you know magic?
<Keylia> Ah.. darn, I need more lessons. ^^;
* Cody smiles. "It's really incredible that you know magic...ah! There we go." He pulls out a small box. "My matches." ^^;
<Keylia> Yeah, let's just say the Elements don't like me much... that's why I got these though. ;)
* Rachel lies listening to Keylia and Cody inside the tent, weariness seeping through her body before she begins to drift off... ^^; Apparently more worn out than she knew.
<Cody> I still think it's nice...
* Keylia reaches for a flint and tinder box, but it obviously isn't needed. "You little boy scout you." :)
* Cody begins to pick up branches, leaves, and other things in order to make a campfire. "Actually...I just read about this in a book. ^^; I've never slept outside before..."
<Keylia> Maybe you need to get outside more, Cody. The world's a big place... lots to experience and learn from just by doing.
* Cody sets them down, and lights one of the matches, setting the foliage ablaze. "My parents didn't really approve of that..."
* Keylia drops her pack by the tent and swings her sickle a few times idly. "You have great parents... do ya blame them for protecting you so much?"
<Cody> ...
<Cody> I'm sorry Keylia...but I don't think anyone can understand how I feel but myself...
<Keylia> If it's still about those stupid idiots messin' with you, don't worry about it.
<Cody> No...It's just...Do you think there's such a thing about being too overprotective?
* Keylia stops swinging the chain, thinking.
<Keylia> Yeah, yeah I do. Sometimes being too protective can be just as bad as doing nothing.
<Cody> My parents were like that...I love them very much...but...There were a lot of times they'd get so worried over nothing...
<Keylia> Well, they just want the best for you. I'm guessing that's why the Goddess made families... because no matter what, we'll always have someone to go to in this big world.
<Cody> I guess so...
<Keylia> And you're going to go back to mom and dad a hero, so stop worrying and get some sleep. ^_-
* Cody blushes a little. "I hope so...Good night, Keylia..."
* Cody wanders into the tent, checking to see if Rachel is asleep.
<Keylia> Heh.. night. Seems Rachel's fast asleep already... I'll keep an eye out. ;)
* Rachel is indeed!
* Cody nods, grabs some clothing from his bag, and wanders outside and behind a tree. (Hooray to Nature's changing rooms)
* Keylia walks off into a nearby grove checking around for... well... bad stuff. ;)
* Cody comes back, dressed in what appears to be sleeping clothes, wanders into the tent and snuggles into his sleeping bag...falling asleep despite his rather depressed mood.
* Keylia comes back to the site, satisfied nothing is lurking near and leans against a tree, sliding to a sitting position.
* Keylia mumbles, "Hmm. I wonder who I have to go to..."
<GMStoren> She soon falls asleep too...- Pandora Road | Undine's Day, Night -
<GMStoren> The night passes slowly. But before morning, there is movement nearby, as a figure stealthily darts between the bushes. His eyes focus on the smoldering embers of what looks to be a campsite... and where there's people there's valuables...
<Chrys> .oO(Hmm. Looks like a group of adventurers is camped out for the night here...and, of course, adventurers are always loaded... looks like my luck may be turning around for the better...)
* Chrys sneaks along quietly, making sure not to make even the slightest sound, sneaking towards the shadowed tent...
<GMStoren> Chrys notices a rather tall and fully armored elven woman sitting near a tree as he approaches. She seems fast asleep, a dangerous looking sickle and sword at her side.
<Chrys> .oO(...Holy crap... I think I'll save her purse for last...if I'm caught this early on I'm screwed...)
* Chrys sneaks along to the tent, slowly peeking in the flap...
<GMStoren> The tent nearby looks much more promising. Inside you see a young man, and another woman sleeping a little uneasily, but not too lightly. Their stuff is in a corner.
<Chrys> .oO(Whoa... did I come across a tribe of Amazons or something?!)
<GMStoren> But what is really tempting, is a gold pendant that hangs from the boyish neck of one of the occupants.
* Chrys looks closer .oO(Wait...that's a guy. -_-;)
<Chrys> .oO(And that guy seems to have money to blow for a pendant like that...that'll get a good price on the market...)
* Chrys quietly sneaks up to the boy, kneeling down just enough to reach him, but not disturb him...
* Cody shifts a little in his sleep, but doesn't awaken.
* Chrys quietly, very slowly, unclasps the pendant, taking it and putting it in his pocket...
<GMStoren> >> Chrys acquires the Gold Pendant! :D
* Chrys stalks over to the corner, sifts through the items quietly, and settles on taking a decent amount of gold as well... ;)
<GMStoren> Secretly smiling at your catch, you don't first notice the sounds of bushes being ruffled outside the tent.
* Chrys backs out of the tent quietly.
<GMStoren> >> Chrys gets 1000 Luc too, greedy scumbag ;)
<GMStoren> Stepping outside, you notice a rabite hopping along.. ^^
* Chrys turns around, stepping out of the tent and practically going into shock. ^^;
<Chrys> .oO(...wait...it's just a Rabite. Thank the gods...)
* Chrys sighs and slowly walks off, making sure to avoid any noise...
<GMStoren> It looks at you cutely a minute, then bares a single sharp tooth and bites your toe as you walk past. :D It goes right through the boot... OW! >_<
* Chrys silently curses and hops along on his free foot, making a bit of noise before losing his balance crumpling to the ground noisily.
<Chrys> ...shit, man... >_<
<GMStoren> The sound of the thump stirs the woman outside. ^^
<Keylia> Wha... huh?
<Chrys> .oO(Ohshitohshitohshitohshit...)
* Chrys lies completely still, saying nothing. ^^;
* Keylia immediately stands up! :o
<GMStoren> The Rabite hops off into the bush ^^;
<Chrys> .oO(Don't let her notice me...don't let her notice me...)
* Keylia walks over to Chrys, looking down at him imposingly.
* Chrys even holds his breath, at the very least trying to act dead. ^^;
<Keylia> You know, you look like a thief to me... and a really dead one at that. ^_-
* Chrys doesn't move a muscle.
<Chrys> .oO(C'mon, you tramp, leave...)
* Keylia pulls out a blade of Damascened steel and points it at Chrys' neck. "Oh, you're not fooling anybody with the whole corpse routine. That's really old. You want me to make you one for real, loverboy?"
<Chrys> .oO(Fuck.)
* Keylia points to a few pieces of Luc that slipped out of Chrys's pocket to the ground.
<GMStoren> Obviously, the fact of all this wakes up Rachel and Cody!
* Chrys rolls over, glaring at Keylia and the sword, speaking quietly and determinedly. "Like you weren't going to anyways...?"
* Rachel stumbles out of the tent, the rusted sword drawn. "What the bloody blaz-...aw, cripes."
* Cody mumbles a bit and sits up. "Huh...? Rachel.. Wh-"
<Keylia> Well you'd be a really handsome dead guy... I've seen a lot to know. ;)
* Cody's hand clasps his upper chest, and his eyes widen. "M...My pendant! I've been robbed!"
<GMStoren> They see Keylia accosting a fellow with purple hair outside the tent..
* Chrys looks at Keylia warily "...Are you trying to get me to lower my defenses by flattering me?"
* Rachel sweatdrops. "Keylia? Are you being the dominatrix again?"
<Keylia> No, I'm asking you to give whatever ya stole back, and you might live to see another beautiful woman besides the one that's gonna kill you if you don't. ^_-
<Chrys> ...
* Cody follows behind Rachel, looking a cross between angry and depressed. "Does this man have my pendant, Keylia...?"
<Chrys> Fine. Take it... take the damn money.
* Chrys raises an eyebrow. "Pendant? I didn't take no pendant. All I got was your cash..."
<Cody> No...No you must have taken it...I had it on my neck and...
<Chrys> Ehh?
* Rachel struts over to Keylia and Chrys. "Bullshit, give it back. She might spare you but I won't."
* Keylia pulls out Reaver. "Thieving from innocent boys too now are you?"
* Chrys wideeyes and looks at the two.
* Cody begins to sound...upset? "Please...if you have it...give it back! It's all I have left of theirs! It's an heirloom..."
* Cody begins to look desperate. "Please...please give it back!"
<Chrys> ...Sentimental value, eh?
<Cody> Yes...please...If you have it...I won't hold anything against you...please...
* Keylia clinks the chain playfully on her sickle.
* Chrys fumbles in his pockets, takes out the pendant, and lobs it over Keylia's head to Cody, taking the opportunity to roll out of the way, breaking into a run at the first opportunity.
<Rachel> Hey!
* Rachel takes off after Chrys!
* Cody catches the pendant, then looks up. "Wait!"
<Keylia> We he sure knows what's good for him...
* Chrys doesn't get much farther, falling over again due to the rabite wound. "Fuck!"
<Cody> ...He's hurt?
* Rachel jumps on Chrys! ;P
<GMStoren> Chrys starts running but as he does so, he trips over something that isn't just a rabite wound!
<Chrys> God damn mother fucking rabite licking son of a iffish raping asswipe...
<GMStoren> Rachel jumps Chrys, and sees a vine on the floor moving a little. ^^;
<Rachel> O_o
<Rachel> Aah god! This is so not going to be a tentacle rape!
<Chrys> ..Um, hey... please...get the hell off of me.
* Cody follows behind Rachel.
* Chrys wideeyes. "Um...sure. At least that'd be...new and interesting..."
* Rachel gets off Chrys and backs up a little. ^^;
<Keylia> Darn it... did I forget to check for nocturnal carnivorous plants again? ^^;
<Cody> Rachel...did you...*blinks*...The ground is moving... O_o
<Rachel> Oh ha ha, Key ^^;
* Chrys picks himself up, still somewhat favoring his wounded leg
<Rachel> Not the ground...something on the ground...
<GMStoren> Two unassuming flowers fade out of the woodwork, moving towards you on twangling vine legs.. ^^
<Cody> Maybe if we just back up really slowly...it'll ignor...*sigh* I guess not...?
<Rachel> O_o Well this can't be good.
<Chrys> Well... can we just forget about the fight we were having for now?
<Chrys> It'd be better if we killed one another -after- we kill these things, ne?
<Rachel> Sure thing.
<Keylia> You just want me to say I'm sorry, don't you. ;)
<Cody> ^^; I wasn't planning on killing you, Mister.
* Chrys pulls out two daggers, twirling them and getting into a fighting stance.
* Rachel smirks at Key and draws her sword..!
* Cody is holding his staff already. ^^;<GMStoren> >> Lullabuds A & B appear! Chrys joins the battle!
<GMStoren> >> Begin Combat!<GMStoren> >> Keylia spends her turn kicking some other vines out of the way, before the area is surrounded..
<GMStoren> >> Chrys's (aka Mr. Thiefman!) action!
<GMStoren> >> Chrys advances towards the plants! Stance is Offensive! :D
* Chrys shifts into a battle stance and then rushes at a Lullabud, slashing twice and then backing off quickly!
* Cody glances down to the wound on Chrys leg.
<Cody> . o O ( That's going to get infected... :/ )
<GMStoren> >> Chrys attacks Lullabud A twice!
<GMStoren> >> 1: Lullabud is WHACKED! 21! 2: 11!
<GMStoren> >> Chrys's charge at 1/2!
<GMStoren> >> Cody's action!
<Keylia> Hey, at least you're not totally scrawny there... what's your name, so I can remember it for the wanted posters? ;)
<Chrys> ...
<Chrys> Later, okay? :P
<GMStoren> >> Cody advances forward! Offensive stance!
* Cody shifts into an offensive position, eyeing the first Lullabud, and swings his staff in an arc, smacking it where it's jaw would approximately be ^^
* Rachel chuckles "Key, stop harassing the poor guy! Focus, woman! You can check him out later!"
<Cody> Go away and eat someone else! We're busy! :/
<Keylia> I am not! I'm sizing him up for a good prison suit, that's all! ;)
<GMStoren> >> Cody's attack strikes the Lullabud for 9 damage! Charge at 1/2!
* Rachel snickers softly. ^^;
<Chrys> Nice try, lady... but if the Pandoran guard can't catch me, what makes you think you can?
<GMStoren> >> The Lullabud looks very wilty.. x_x
<Cody> She sort of did, sir. ^_^
<Chrys> ...Bugger off.
* Rachel freezes and looks at Chrys for a second before turning back to the battle...
<GMStoren> >> Rachel's action!
* Cody sighs and shuts up. "Fine..."
<Keylia> Oh, so you live on the wild side too huh?
<Chrys> ...
<GMStoren> >> Rachel goes Offensive for the beat down action on Lullabud A! ^_-
* Rachel dashes towards Lullabud A and drives her sword into it viciously, yanking it out in a way that causes the 'skin' to rip loudly!
* Cody winces. "That...must have...ow?"
<GMStoren> >> Rachel strikes for 18! The rusty blade digs into the flower, ripping it to a mass of petals... Lullabud A is wasted!
* Rachel drops back into position, twirling her blade a little.
<GMStoren> >> Charge at 1/2!
<GMStoren> >> Lullabud B's action!
<GMStoren> >> The flower retreats to defensive stance, and starts waving in the breeze...
<GMStoren> >> Lullabud casts Sleep Flower on Rachel! :D
<Cody> Rachel! Look out!
<Rachel> O_o Ah fucking gods be damned bitch of a flower!
* Cody tries to push her out of the way. ^^:
* Rachel swears impressively. ^^;
<Chrys> ...
* Chrys isn't impressed. ;)
<GMStoren> >> A swarm of dreamy pollen and pink petals cause Rachel to think twice about fighting, and about that nap that was interuupted...
<GMStoren> >> Rachel falls asleep! ^^;
* Rachel flops over!
* Cody misses of course...and looks like an idiot! ^^;
<Keylia> This is no time to be laying down on the job Rachel. ^^
<Chrys> Gah.. -_-; This is no time to be sleeping on the job, babe!
<Cody> ...Oh no...
* Chrys looks at Keylia and blinks.
* Rachel curls into a little ball and sleeps rather peacefully for someone in the middle of a battle!
<GMStoren> >> Chrys' action! (Stance is Offensive! Charge at 1/2)
* Chrys rushes at the Lullabud and rips into it!
* Cody steps back a few paces, trying his best to protect Rachel despite his small, willowy frame. ^^
* Chrys hops back to the group, holding his leg. ^^;
<GMStoren> >> Chrys attacks the Lullabud, but he has trouble bridging the gap with his short knives. 1: Missed! 2: 10!
<Chrys> God damn assfucking son of a bitch that hurts...
<GMStoren> >> Cody's action!
<Cody> . o O ( I have to help them...I have to remember...the words... )
<GMStoren> >> Chrys is at 2/2 btw! :)
<GMStoren> >> Cody retreats! Stance is now Defensive...
* Rachel mumbles something in her sleep. ^^;
* Cody slips into a defensive position, and begins to chant something under his breath.
<Cody> Mirrored Earth cry, Alba's edge, retribution of green and blue! To rise! To cry! To live! To die!
* Cody pushes his hands forward, and the ground begins to rumble; something begins to surge towards the enemy. Suddenly, a pillar of green crystal erupts from under the earth. The crystal begins to resonate, then ring, then howl, then scream! Finally, it bursts into shrapnel and green fire!
* Chrys blinks and whistles.
<GMStoren> >> Cody powers the mysterious energies to cast Potensa Detonation!
<Keylia> Here he goes again...
<GMStoren> >> Lullabud is caught up in the future natural burst of power, flying up and slamming into the ground.. o_O 38 damage!
* Cody seems a bit winded, and falls on his knees. "It...it worked?"
<GMStoren> >> The flower's stem is very injured...
<Chrys> Yeah, and pretty damn well, it seems...
<GMStoren> >> Lullabud B uses it's last strength to run up to the snoozing Rachel and open a petaled maw of happy teeth! ^^
<Cody> ...
<Cody> Hey!
<Chrys> Um...Hey!
<Chrys> No eating the women!
* Cody tries to shoo it away. ;-;
<GMStoren> >> Lullabud drains 9 Hp from Rachel! Regains 9 Hp! ^^
* Rachel is sucked. ;)
<GMStoren> >> Rachel awakens with a big red welt. :P
<Rachel> Aaah god! What the he-...IT GAVE ME A FUCKING HICKIE?!
<Chrys> Um...yeah. Suuuure.
* Cody sweatdrops.
* Rachel leaps up and growls, drawing her sword once again!
<Cody> Um... ^^; I tried to protect you...but uh...*Kicks up a bit of dirt with his shoe
* I'm not very good at it...
<Rachel> It's alright. ^^;
<Keylia> Maybe this guy left a bad taste in their mouths...
* Cody blushes a little.
<Chrys> ...
* Keylia points to Chrys. ^^
* Rachel smiles a little at Cody before grinning at Keylia. "And they wanted something sweeter? Ha. Let's kill this thing already!"
<GMStoren> >> Keylia stomps the final plants arising. Keylia's action!
<Chrys> You know... back off, babe... or else gods know what I'm going to do...
<GMStoren> >> Keylia yawns, and takes a swipe at the troublesome weed.
<Rachel> You really don't want to threaten her, thief. ^^;
<Chrys> ...
<GMStoren> >> Lullabud suffers 169 damage! It bursts into a shadow of petals.. wasted! :D
* Rachel sweatdrops.
<Keylia> You were saying? ^_^
<Rachel> Yeah. ^^; So.<GMStoren> >> The enemies are defeated... the area is clear! Victory! :D
<GMStoren> >> All party members gain 10 xp! 50 Luc!<Chrys> I'm saying that I still know a technique that could beat out even that. ;)
<Chrys> It's called...running away. Bye now! ^^
* Chrys starts off. ^^;
* Rachel sighs and this time doesn't bother to run after Chrys, wanting more sleep. ;P
<GMStoren> >> Chrys drops the money... 1000 Luc reclaimed! Cody gets his Pendant back! ^^
* Chrys sweatdrops and notices he has a hole in his pocket... -_-;;;
<GMStoren> Chrys suddenly feels a jerk and feels cold steel around his waist. ^^
<Cody> ...You're not going to get very far with your injury, you know...
<Chrys> ...God damn fucking...[continues to curse like drunken sailor]
<Keylia> Oh no you don't. :P
<Chrys> What do you want, tramp? -_-;
* Rachel bristles faintly at the insult ^^;
<Chrys> You've already perfectly fucking ruined my whole night, can't you just let me fucking go in peace?
* Cody looks at Rachel. "He didn't mean you...You're not a tramp..."
* Keylia reels Chrys in like a fish. "I want an apology first. And your name, hotshot."
<Rachel> I know who he meant. ^^;
<Chrys> Apology? For what?
<Cody> But I saw you flinch...
* Rachel glances at Cody for a long moment and then looks back to Keylia.
<Keylia> For leaving rudely, and the fact you won't admit you're not running much of anywhere with a wound like that.
<Chrys> I can run wherever the hell I want. -_-;
<Chrys> You're not my mother.
* Cody sighs.
* Rachel mutters. "If she were your mother, she'd probably kill herself from embarrassment."
<Keylia> Yeah, I'm not. But I'm actually trying to be nice. That a problem? :P
<Chrys> (m)...That's a first among you commoners...
* Cody heads back to the campsite. "I'll be right back...can you keep that man here for a moment?"
<Keylia> I know what it's like to be in trouble with the local kingdoms you know?
<Chrys> That's besides the point. You know...
* Rachel nods to Cody and sighs, sitting down.
<Chrys> You guys think you have it so great, killing monsters and getting cash for it. Don't you know that people out there are starving to death?!
<Rachel> No. Really?
* Keylia lets Chrys go. "Well if that's the attitude you're gonna pull..."
* Cody returns with his herb bag. "W...wait a moment! O_o"
<Keylia> I'll have you know starving is the least of your problems, kid.
* Chrys sighs. "Can I just leave now?" -_-;
<Cody> Wait a minute...please?
<Chrys> ...What are you going to do now, spit on me? Hang me from the tree?
<Cody> N...No. I just wanted to treat the wound on your leg. It's going to get infected...
<Keylia> Nah, that gets really tiring after a while. ^_^
<Chrys> ...
<Keylia> How about I make you an offer, mister thief.
* Keylia leans over real close to Chry's face, grinning. :)
<Chrys> Please. Don't call me a thief. I prefer the term "treasure hunter"... or, if you're not happy with that, also feel free to call me "fucking brigand".
<Cody> Can I treat it? If you really want to leave...I guess I can't stop you...
* Rachel watches silently.

* Rachel turns away and walks back to camp without a word.
<Chrys> I've got too much of a reputation to get an honest job, and I can't much get respect in any thieves' guilds, if that's what you're saying.
* Cody decides to just treat the wound anyway, and begins to clean it out gently with water.
<Keylia> Odd man out huh? Pandora's a tough place.
<Chrys> The only place that really knows me and doesn't try to kill me is the local black market... I doubt I can find that kind of information there...
* Cody spreads a bit of some sort of paste on the wound, most likely made of a type of herb. (It smells good! :D), and wraps the wound up with gauze. He then steps back.

<GMStoren> As Chrys ponders his fate, he notices a figure walking down the east road towards the river bend. It has a cloak that obscures most of the view, but it's definitely a human being, marching onward to some distant goal.

* Chrys draws his daggers and readies himself for a bit of a duel. "So why don't you just fuck off, and go after someone ELSE'S bounty?"
* Rachel glances at Keylia. "He's a friend now? Man, you are good. I suppose we should intervene."
* Chrys waves the three away. "'T's my fight."

* Cody snaps out of his depression funk and looks up. "More company...?"

* Keylia looks over the newcomer, reaching for her sickle... she studies him a moment.
* Cody looks at Tori curiously. "Who are you?"
<Chrys> Listen, prick. I've had a hell of a night.
* Rachel watches and crosses her arms.
<Chrys> The last thing I need is some jackass waltzing along thinking he can take me in so that he can get more booze.
<Keylia> I'll be Chrys, you've got one of those Troubleshooters after you... and you said you weren't famous! :P

* Rachel waves a little to Tori, looking somewhat amused. ^^;

* Rachel drops off from the group, having been in Pandora before and knowing the way. She heads off alone.

* Rahne looks inquisitive. "What happened there?"
<Cody> ...It was poisoned...
* Keylia looks up.
<Chrys> Oh, don't mind them... they're a little unsure of things at the moment...
<Cody> And I was blamed for it...I didn't do anything...
<Keylia> Cody, you can trust her if the Sages do. Tell her what happened... I need to make sure Rachel is alright.
* Rahne looks shocked. "Oh my... I uh... I should probably go back and tell Miss Luka..." She looks concerned. "Was it really bad?"
<Cody> Okay...Tell her if she's angry at me...that I'm sorry.
<GMStoren> Keylia chases after Rachel, a little rude to Rahne, but oh well...
<Cody> ...A lot of people died...My parents are sick...I'm trying to find a cure.
<Rahne> Well... I could take you to Miss Luka. She might be able to help.
* Rahne wags her tail for a brief, hopeful moment.
<Cody> ^_^ I'd appreciate that! She's a Sage of Water after all. We're trying to find out some information in Pandora first, though.
<Cody> We have to find who poisoned it...then find a cure...If we can... *frown*

* Cody looks a little tired, but he smiles pleasantly at Rahne. "But I don't want to keep you from your errand, though."

* Rahne looks to the direction that Rachel & Keylia ran off. "Is your... friend gonna be okay? I didn't mean to cause any harm..." She curls her tail around and wrings it with her hands a bit.
* Rachel stops and crosses her arms a little, gazing at Keylia. "I wish."

* Rahne realizes she's wringing her tail again, and immediately lets it go, snapping it back behind her. "Rahne." ^^;
