Former advisor and relative of the late King Pandora VIII, Elman ascended the throne of the country in the years following the fall of the Mana Fortress. When he discovered that his daughter, Purim, had began to fall in love with the Knight Randi, he did not hesitate to oppose their union. Most accounted this to the fact that Elman was trying to make amends for his refusal of her previous involvement with the general Dyluck Hylissa, who's loss in the war he still grieves. However, many citizens have become suspicious with the scarcity of princess Purim and her family, but Elman has constantly insisted they are merely out of state. His attitude in recent months has been quite grim, and the poisoning of Kippo has done nothing to change this. Just what is the secret he is hiding from everyone?

When his wife disappeared from the social scene, he said it was due to an illness that kept her in bed without the strength to even talk. Still, some wonder if, in fact, that is truly the case...
