***Game On!***
The battle between Donovan and his master Tamen has begun. If Donovan wins, Tamen has assured tha he will surrender the White Aura. But Tamen seems oddly calm. Could that be because Donovan has promised not to use his power, or is there something else?
* Donovan charges at his master.
* Master_Tamen holds his cane out, ready to defend.
<Donovan> GET READY!
<Tala_Pelagic> "Get Set!"
* Donovan throws a punch at Tamen.
* Zepp_Delinius laughs.
<Zepp_Delinius> Go! Hahaha!
* Master_Tamen blocks the attack with his cane.
* Raena is torn between her wish to fight, yet for Donovan's honor she should not lift her hands...
<Tala_Pelagic> "Hey Raena, wanna have a thumb war?"
<Master_Tamen> You still haven't changed boy. You still charge in like a bull!
<Raena> << lol Tala. I liked that. >>
* Donovan struggles to push Tamen back, but he cannot budge him.
* Zepp_Delinius watches the battle.
<Master_Tamen> That will be your downfall!
* Raena rather hardened expression falters at Tala's suggestion. "At a time like this...?" ^^;
* Donovan twists his body and kicks at Tamen's head.
* Master_Tamen ducks easily.
* Donovan moves back into a fighting stance, trying to think of a plan.
<Zepp_Delinius> ...This is weird.
<Tala_Pelagic> "Well think about it,  you'll just stress yourself out watching him fight without being able to help so I thought it might take your mind off it..."
<Tala_Pelagic> "But, whatever"  *twiddles her thumbs*
* Master_Tamen holds his cane out
* Raena keeps one eye on the fight as Donovan's hits find little purchase. "Donovan, don't let him read your signals..."
* Donovan starts to get angry.
* Master_Tamen grins then charges Donovan.
<Donovan> What the...?\
* Donovan tries to kick Tamen as he charges.
<Tala_Pelagic> "It's times like these I wish I could fly...."
* Master_Tamen rolls along the ground, going under the attack. As he comes up, he burries the cane handle into Donovan's stomach.
* Donovan gets hit hard. A small stream of blood shoots out of his mouth.
<Donovan> Gah..ah.
<Zepp_Delinius> Holy shit!
* Raena looks back at Tala. "I don't want to seem so, but this is for the aura, i should be..." she winces as Tamen drives Donovan harshly.
* Zepp_Delinius groans then falls to knees.
<Zepp_Delinius> This sucks!
<Tala_Pelagic> "What's wrong?"
* Donovan hunches over.
<Raena> Donovan, don't give up! He may be the master monk, but you are not a pupil any longer!
<Zepp_Delinius> The kids loosing!
* Master_Tamen looks at Raena.
<Master_Tamen> I'm not a monk!
<Tala_Pelagic> "He'll be fine because....."
<Tala_Pelagic> "....The good guys always win and...."
<Tala_Pelagic> "....The bad guys are always conquered and...."
<Raena> << hmm.. okay maybe I flubbed that line. er. darn. must recall.. what did tamen say he was? ^^ >>
<Master_Tamen> I'm a priest...or I was.
<Tala_Pelagic> "...In the end there are 5 of us and 1 of him, if worse comes to worse"
* Donovan gains his composure. He takes the opportunity and cracks Tamen in the face.
* Master_Tamen gets knockedback a few feet from the attack.
<Raena> Then surely you would know to keep your eyes open to your surroundings for insights... *notices the distraction works* ^^
* Donovan gets ready to fight again, not wiping the blood away.
* Master_Tamen regains his balance. He is now bleeding as well.
<Zepp_Delinius> ...Damn!
<Donovan> Enough fooling around!
* Raena watches the two, tensing. Someone is going to need healing after this bout, without fail...
<Master_Tamen> *sigh* Very well. Prepare yourself!
* Donovan gets ready to attack.
*** Tala_Pelagic has quit IRC (Ping timeout)
<Raena> << let's watch donovan fight his shadow ^^ >>
<Donovan> <<oh shush you!>>
<Raena> << ..and tala ping out. :/ >>
<Donovan> <<yup>>
* Master_Tamen holds his cane over his head with one arm. He brings two fingers from his free hand up in front of his face. He begins to glow.
<Zepp_Delinius> This is nuts! We gotta help Donny!
* Donovan thinks to himself, "(What strange energy is this? Master never had this attack before!)"
<Raena> << we continuing without her? >>
<Donovan> <<I figured I'd throw in as much as I can>>
* Raena raises her eyebrows at the energy. "I don't like this... it feels too powerful..."
<Zepp_Delinius> Come on Raena! We gotta help him?
* Master_Tamen begins to gather as much energy as possible.
* Master_Tamen is ready to attack.
<Donovan> ...This is bad!
<Master_Tamen> Get ready Donovan! You wanted to test your strength? Then this shall be your test!
* Raena begins mumbling to herself in a arcane tone, and drives her staff at her feet... several tendrils of energy spiral out of the ground one by one from the point, forming into the shape of a six pointed star.
* Master_Tamen throws the head of the cane at Donovan, sending out a large wave of energy at his former student.
* Donovan puts his arms up to block the attack.
<Raena> In the name of the Goddess, I cannot sit idly by... if you fight Donovan, you fight me!
<Zepp_Delinius> Watch out Donny!
* Raena picks the cane up and the star receeds into it and she throws it at Donovan's position where the energy becomes a barrier of light!
<Raena> Mystic Shield!
<Donovan> 4The energy wave is canceled out.
* Master_Tamen strokes his beard.
<Master_Tamen> Hmm...most impresive.
<Zepp_Delinius> Heh, if you think that's impresive, wait 'till you see this!
* Raena gasps several times, the energizes staff falling to the floor after absorbing the attack.
* Donovan looks up. He is untouched.
<Donovan> RAENA!
* Zepp_Delinius begins to open a portal.
<Zepp_Delinius> Hope you enjoy eternity in hell!
<Raena> I'm sorry...
* Donovan growls and throws a ball of fire past Zeppelin's head, but not attacking.
<Donovan> THAT"S ENOUGH!
* Zepp_Delinius is starteled. He stops the portal.
* Master_Tamen walks away from the party and over to a pile of rubble.
<Zepp_Delinius> What was that for?
<Donovan> The two of you shouldn't have helped me!
* Donovan crosses his arms and looks away.

* Master_Tamen looks at the rubble.
* Raena looks crestfallen.
* Zepp_Delinius is confused. He's never seen Donny act so pissy!
<Tala_Pelagic> "If you can't fight as a pack-  I mean as a team, you might as well give up now...."
<Master_Tamen> The wolf girl is right Donovan!
* Donovan looks over at Tamen.
<Raena> I just... I couldn't allow it. I couldn't stand there and see you taken away, like all the others in this place...
* Tala_Pelagic wonders if she should be offended by the wolf-girl comment.
<Master_Tamen> I was hoping your friends would help!
<Raena> Master Tamen! If you know the history of the white aura, it is to protect.. you can't do such a thing by yourself, but for the sake of everyone!
* Raena pauses. "..you mean... that was the test..."
* Master_Tamen slowly sits down on a rock, groaning slightly.
<Master_Tamen> Yes, you speak the words of truth and wisdom!
* Tala_Pelagic looks around waiting for someone to yell at her for her most recent comment
* Zepp_Delinius looks at Tala, then Donny, then Raena, and lastly Tamen. What the heck just happened?
<Master_Tamen> I...I am too old now. This life is no longer for me!
* Tala_Pelagic notices no one is yelling at her and she relaxes slightly "....I finally said something right..."
<Zepp_Delinius> Really? What'd you say Tala?
<Raena> It's true..
<Tala_Pelagic> "I refuse to repeat myself, if you weren't listening then it's your loss."
* Zepp_Delinius shrugs
<Master_Tamen> I know that you came for the aura! I once hoped that I'd be the chosen one...to have one last adventure!
* Donovan uncrosses his arms.
<Donovan> ...Master...
* Raena looks towards the old man with sympathy
<Master_Tamen> But I was only a guardian. An important job, yes. But not what I had hoped for.
<Master_Tamen> Running around, hiding, stealing to survive...It's all taken it's toll on this old body of mine.
<Raena> Master Tamen...
* Master_Tamen points to the rocks he sits next to.
<Master_Tamen> Go...your destiny..and the White Dragon await you!
<Zepp_Delinius> Moving rocks? Haha! I'm all over this one!
<Raena> So all this time, we were fighting above the entrance to the cave...?
* Master_Tamen nods. That's correct child.
<Master_Tamen> Zophar already searched here. What better place to hide an aura than in a presearched room?
* Donovan sees Tamen's staff still on the floor, he walks over and picks it up.
* Zepp_Delinius usues his power to remove the boulders. Underneath is and icy entrance.
<Tala_Pelagic> "I don't see why we have to move the boulder at all, it seems like a dreadful waste of energy..."
* Master_Tamen looks at Tala.
<Master_Tamen> For a while you were making sence, what happened?
<Tala_Pelagic> "What?"
* Zepp_Delinius stretches.
<Zepp_Delinius> Ahh, all in a days work!
<Donovan> Master...your staff!
* Raena looks to the rocks, trying to move a few away that zepplin misses. "We came here for the aura, and we can't leave without it.. otherwise we've failed."
<Tala_Pelagic> "No, I mean why can't we just go through it?"
* Master_Tamen holds his hand out to Donovan for his staff.
<Zepp_Delinius> What? Can you walk through walls or something?
<Tala_Pelagic> "Sort of, I can make it look like I'm walking through the wall if you wanted me to."
* Donovan hands Tamen the golden staff with black runes.
* Tala_Pelagic puts her arm through the apparently solid boulder and waves her hand at the other side.
<Zepp_Delinius> Or here's an idea: the rocks are moved already, so why not just walk without going throughthe boulders?
* Zepp_Delinius sees this.
<Zepp_Delinius> ...Dang!
* Tala_Pelagic pulls her arms out and the boulder looks normal again.
<Zepp_Delinius> Whoa!
<Tala_Pelagic> "I got a ton of food for that little trick."
<Raena> I'm sure there will be other oppotunities... the lair of the dragons are by no means simple to navigate, according to the legends.
* Tala_Pelagic stops showing off now.
<Master_Tamen> This is true! But not with this!
* Master_Tamen hands Raena his staff.
* Donovan looks at the staff being handed to Raena.
* Raena blinks in surprise as she is handed the weapon.
<Zepp_Delinius> Let's go!
* Zepp_Delinius marches off into the icy cavern.
<Raena> You mean to say... this is a beacon in both directions? To you and the aura?
<Master_Tamen> That's correct, thanks to the White Dragon. But...this is yours now!
<Donovan> ...Master? Your staff?
* Raena places her weathered cane in her robe's belt, and holds his aloft. "If it shall aid us, then I cannot refuse... thank you, I will not fail the final test. For your sake."
* Tala_Pelagic is amusing herself by staring at the boulder as it shapes itself into a wolf.
<Master_Tamen> Then tell me...I believe Raena us your name...If you have my staff, what will you do with your cane?
<Donovan> <<*is>>
* Tala_Pelagic giggles at her creation
* Raena offers it to him in exchange. "If you still see yourself as a servant of her grace, then you are entitled to this just as much as myself." ^^

<Master_Tamen> No, I fell out of Althena's favor long ago. I am not worthy of that staff any longer, or any other weapon of Althena. My old cane is all I need.
* Donovan looks over at Tala. He can't help but smile at her. She seems so cold at times, but now she has the warmth of a child.
<Master_Tamen> Hurry now! Nall will not wait forever!
<Raena> Then I will return with it when the aura is recovered...
* Raena bows.
<Master_Tamen> My child, you do not seem to understand.
<Master_Tamen> I want you to have thiis staff...for good! Use it in battle! It holds the power of Athena's knights as well as her followers!
* Donovan closes his eyes and smiles.
* Raena nods...
<Master_Tamen> Go now. I will join you in Vane in time.
<Donovan> Raena...
<Raena> My the Goddess watch over you then. Wherevere your path leads. *looks a bit teary as she says this*
* Tala_Pelagic looks away from the boulder and it reshapes exactly as it was before. "We leaving yet?"
* Donovan decideds to wait until later to say what he wanted to Raena.
* Raena holds the black staff close to her, then looks back to her friends. "Y..yes... please, let's not delay."
<Donovan> You're right Tala! Let's go!
* Donovan heads into the cavern
* Raena follows into the icy depths behind the group.
* Master_Tamen sighs happily.
<Master_Tamen> I'm proud of you Donovan, but you must learn to open your heart to others!
<Zepp_Delinius> 4Inside the icy cavern, the group walks for what seems like hours. Donovan uses his flame barrier to keep the others warm. Zeppelin still pisses and moans about the cold though.
* Tala_Pelagic shrugs and follows with her ever present wolf right behind her

<Donovan> Zeppelin, get over it! I'm sure we're almost there, right Raena?

* Raena is trying to use the staff's energies to home in on the aura, like she did before in the graves...

* Donovan follows Raena, trusting in her, but saying nothing.

<Tala_Pelagic> "Well logically, if you were warm blooded you would make your own heat as well as Donovan's fire barrier.  If you were cold blooded you wouldn't make your own heat but Donovan's fire thing would keep you're body temperature up.  Therefore, I've come to the conclusion that you're a whinner....no offense"

* Tala_Pelagic smiles innocently.
<Donovan> 4After several more moments the group comes up upon a large room of ice. There is a throne in the center. A young man with odd hair sits there singing a song that reminds him of his childhood.
* Raena smiles weakly. "I have felt a cold much greater than any natural one, I think I can take a slight chill breeze or two. Buck up a bit Zepplin." ^^

* Zepp_Delinius nods
* Nall is humming the song tha Luna used to sing.
* Nall doesn't notice the group.
* Donovan puts the barrier down as the enter the room.

* Donovan looks at the aura, then to Raena.

* Tala_Pelagic hums an nursery rhyme, no one should recognize it.
* Zepp_Delinius looks at Tala.

* Raena puts a hand to her chest. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes... too many people have suffered already. If it goes unchecked, everything I've come to appreciate will disappear."

* Donovan glares at Nall. "What?"
* Raena blinks. "I... I never was asking for such a thing..."
<Tala_Pelagic> "I rarely do much because I really have no clue what's going on....."
* Nall` laughs. "She is the likely candidate, but usually the Dragons only administer their powers to the one who passes their trial!"
<Tala_Pelagic> "I just follow along, and do little things to keep my mind occupied."
* Raena swallows, and looks at the staff she's holding, thinking.
<Zepp_Delinius> Yeah little miss "I want the purple dragon's power"! You complain about being so lost in this whole thing and yet when something happens that you could learn something from, you sit and screw around with anything you can get your hands on!
<Raena> ...what kind of trial, great Nall?
* Donovan growls at Nall. "There's no time for that now! Ruby and Delinius gave me and Zepp their powers without hesitation because they knew what was at stake. Are you going to jeopardize Lunar for the sake of your own pride?"
* Nall` laughs harder.
<Zepp_Delinius> 12Nall! THAT'S ENOUGH!!!!
<Tala_Pelagic> "I know what's going on sort of, We need some kind of power that this guy can give and we all believe Raena will get it, I don't know anything about this trial she has to pass so I really can't be all that helpful."
* Zepp_Delinius is obviously pissed off, at least Delinius is.
* Donovan looks back at Zepp, never hearing Delinius that mad before.
<Tala_Pelagic> "And I wasn't really complaning, you asked me."
<Raena> *sigh* Calm down... I won't doubt the wisdom of the dragons. And if my studies are correct, it has always been tradition to do so.
* Nall` stops. "...No Raena. The others are right! We need to assemble the Dragon Heroes as soon as we can! But if it'll make you feel any better. You can take the trial after you trash those gods for us all! Hahaha!"
* Donovan calms down.
<Nall`> Step forward Raena!
* Zepp_Delinius whispers to himself. "Go Raena!"
* Raena sweatdrops a second. "The tales are true Nall, yor attitude hasn't changed through the ages..." She steps forward!
* Tala_Pelagic pets Amadahy and watched this

* Nall` stands. He lets the aura float in front of his chest. As he spreads his arms, the aura seeps into his body. For a brief moment, he changes into his adult dragon form, but then reverts back to a human.
* Nall` holds out his hand and places it on Raena's forhead. "Like the others. You may feel an emptiness for a few minutes, but it will pass. Just try to clear your mind"
* Raena looks upon the full form of the White Dragon, if however fleeting the imagery is. At his behest, she closes her eyes, and tries to empty her thoughts, however difficult this may be in such a time of crisis.
* Nall` begins to glow a bright white. Slowly, the glimmer fades and rises around Raena. Even after Nall removes his hand, the glow remains.
<Nall`> As it was once done, so has it been done again. Raena...you are the White Dragon Hero;...my Hero!
* Donovan stands in awe of the glow. "...Raena."
<Zepp_Delinius> ...*grin* Daaaaaaaaamn!....
* Raena blinks her eyes open, falling to her knees a second as her strength ebbs abruptly. In a moment, the fog clears and she looks upon everything with a sort of different look in her eyes that wasn't there before.
<Tala_Pelagic> "That was pretty cool"
<Tala_Pelagic> <Amadahy> *howls her approval
* Donovan dashes over to Raena. "Are you alright?" He tries to help her stand.
* Raena 's attire also begins to shimmer slightly, and the black material bleeds it's dark colors off, melting away into their former white and gold beauty when she was first brought into this adventure.
* Donovan looks at Raena's clothes.
<Raena> I... I feel so light-headed... this is the power...?
<Donovan> ...So it's true! "The Light shall clense all, and it's wielde shall become pure!"
<Nall`> Hahaha. Alright then, three down, one to go!
<Tala_Pelagic> "What one is left?
* Raena leans on Donovan. "It's so strong and pure, yet warm and gentle. The power to protect what you care for."
* Nall` looks at Donovan. "What? Did you memorize the legends or something? (Musta had alot of free time on his hands! Poor boy.)"
* Zepp_Delinius feels like crying, but not really. "That was beautiful!"
<Nall`> The Blue Dragon. Azuro needs her aura. Find it and then go to Azuro, she'll know what to do!
<Raena> Nall... I can't express my gratitude... I think I finally understand what I was trying to find all these years... *sheds a slight tear*
* Tala_Pelagic stares off into the distance.
* Zepp_Delinius is about to blush. "Aw knock it off will ya? I gave up that mushy stuff 2,000 years ago. Now go on, get outta here. The aura is waiting!"

* Raena looks Donovan in the eyes a long moment, then stands on her own, looking determined.
* Donovan looks right back at Raena.
<Zepp_Delinius> (Okay, time for the long romantic kiss! Hahaha)

<Raena> Donovan, let's go. We have so much to do, and so little time to do it. *warm smile*
<Nall`> Now go you guys! It's almost time!
<Tala_Pelagic> "Almost time for what?"
* Zepp_Delinius holds his hand between the two lovebirds. "The last fight! Are you all ready?"
* Donovan puts his hand on top of Zepp's, still looking at Raena. "Ready!"
<Tala_Pelagic> *sarcastically* "Oh goody, a fight"
* Raena nods, placing her hand upon it too. "I'm more ready than i've ever been. Come on Tala, we need you too."
<Zepp_Delinius> Will you hurry up Tala? Yeesh.
