The Cult of Virtue

Queen Virtue
'The Mortal Goddess'
Queen Virtue Shortly after the death of Zophar, the world noticed that Althena was still protecting them. They needed someone to guide Lunar and lead them in the right direction that Althena would want. The people chose Virtue...a priestess who was highly looked upon and respected. She was appointed the Advocate of Althena, as her word held the weight of the Goddess herself. Her first act made the church law. Her second was that of technology, to have it advanced forward instead of backwards. She is said to be like a goddess at heart as well, that will never hurt a fly. One strange thing about her though, is that she has never aged...for 100 years.

Under the influence of Gregory, Haylee was able to walk nearly unchallenged into the very heart of Virtue's palace and take her into the demonic entity's custody. Even though she was rescued, the mystery is why Virtue did not fight back...

Sinel
The Archbishop
Appointed second in command, Sinel was a faithful follower of the Goddess, and also a master inventor. His ongoing research on machinery has greatly improved the living conditions on Lunar, and continues to push the boundaries of human technological prowess. His love for his wife, may be the only thing that can compare his love for Althena.

After numerous encounters, the party has observed that Sinel is searching for the DNA of 4 special people... Haylee, Johnathan, and Elrika among them. The question remains.. just what is his grand experiment and who is the vaunted 4th? What does Evol know about his designs for the future?

ArchBishop Sinel

Evol
High Priestess
High Priestess Evol Appointed High Priestess to the church the same time as Sinel was deemed Archbishop. It is said that her beauty can make anyone fall in love with her with but a glance, and the only thing that can match it is her piety. Though she is the wife of Sinel and they are said they love each other greatly, they are never seen together.

Evol has saved the parties lives on several occasions, even assisting to break Scott's curse. She also was responsible for the timely evacuation of Vane during the Gregory catastrophy. But in light of what she helped do to the Blue Dragon, the fragile trust the party had in her was shattered. Just what is the real truth behind the dream that she blindly places her faith in?

Kashier "Cash" Ausa
Chancellor/Premier of Vane
Kashier is the son of Lemina and Ramus, hence the "Cash" in his name. (Yes, Ramus did win the bet ^^;) The oldest of the fold, being in his late 60's, he leader of the flying city Vane and the mighty Magic Guild. He also is the voice in what happens in Lunar today, the people's primary tie to the laws of Virtue. It has been rumored that his death is coming soon though... and he is still without a successor.

While performing his duty as a Judge of Virtue's Court, the noble Chancellor met his fate at the hands of Emili's dark form when Gregory siezed his long-awaited opportunity for vengence. Before his death, Kash commended his dreams for the future to Scott. Although Vane was saved from total destruction, it seems the legacy of two great families of Lunar is now over...

Chancellor Kash

Zlyk
Captain of Virtue's Knights
Captain Zlyk Even though she is peaceful soul, the Queen nevertheless took precautions, in case of heretics arising to corrupt and challenge the Church's power. She appointed Zlyk head of the guard, to dispose of any infidel to the church. With his sturdy frame, his prowess as a stalwart defender of Virtue rivals that of the legendary knight Leo.. not to mention his skill with an axe would make even Hell Mel proud.

It appears that Zlyk is doing more than guarding Virtue, as the party literally walked in on him as he delt the finishing blow to the Blue Dragon, Tear. The fact remains is he doing it for Virtue's vision of the future, or for the sheer sport of it?
