Appearance/Personality:

Scott is your basic honor bound knight, however, he has a darker side to him, that only comes out when he experiences extremes of certain emotions, such as anger, sadness, etc. He can become very violent and deadly, should these emotions reach extreme levels. Some have even said that he is not himself, but he is another person when this happens.

Background:

Scott was born and raised in the city of Vane. When he was but a child, he was entered into magic school because of his obvious mystical talents. However, one thing he always wanted to do is learn to use a sword. In his off-time, his father taught his the finer points of using the blade. When his gradutation from the Vane magic academy came, he was instantly brought into the magic guard, as a Mage Knight.

When he was in his final year of magic school, he was in a special ceremony in the star chamber of the crystal tower when he felt his magic power growing. He found he was able to control the primal powers of the cosmos, by using star magicks. The power surged into him and then just exploded as a spell from his hands. Since then, he has been trying to master control of this mystical gift.

Being well trained in blade skills and fire, water, and star magicks, he became a formidable fighter. He served in the magic guard for all his adult life, not even hoping for the chance at a larger adventure. However, he knows that somehow, that time will come with patience. In the meantime, he trains his magicks and blade to ensure that he will come out victorious.

But his story goes much deeper than that...

Scott's "other personality" is actually a spirit called the DarkStar. It's the one that gave him his rather gothic appearance, as well. When the DarkStar takes over his personality, Scott's eyes go from their usual color to a crimson red. He lets out a primal yell and his strength and defense increases 10 fold. This happened two times before.

The first time was when Scott was a first year student in Magic School. He was being held back by a bunch of senior students while one other guy beat his best friend since childhood, Crissy, almost to death. Driven by rage, and this feeling of helplessness, his spirit became weak enough for the DarkStar to take over, and the next thing Scott remembers is seeing a bunch of scorched and slashed seniors laying on the ground in front of him.

The Second time was after his graduation and his entry into the Magic Guard. During a time when forces were scarce, there was word that the Rancor's Fang was working an area between Azado and Meribia. Scott and 3 other guards were assigned to escort High Priestess Evol to Azado. They ran into the Rancor's Fang, but were very much outnumbered. The fight took forever and in a moment when his spirit was weakest again, the DarkStar took over. Scott knew not what happened after that moment, but the Rancor's Fang members were all dead from the attack of the DarkStar. After that, Evol told him that she sensed a presence about him and she placed a magical seal around the DarkStar. But, the DarkStar could come out again, it is just a matter of time.

Scott came to be possessed by the DarkStar when he was but a VERY small child. When he was but a year old, a man who claimed to be a priest of the church came to his parent's home. He looked the young Scott over and placed a hand on his forehead. Scott's parents did not notice the crimson red eyes this so-called priest had. His body was possessed by the DarkStar. But that body was about to die, and the DarkStar needed a new host. The Priest sent the DarkStar into Scott's body and left the house, saying that he gave Scott a blessing from Althena. The Priest left, only to disappear, not leaving a trace of his existance.
