Appearance/Personality:
Jack is a happy-go-lucky kind of fellow. Never really had a sad moment in his life. He has a beard and a usually wears a happy, fatherly expression on his face. He has a strong build, packs a lot of strength, and wields an Axe for his protection. The Nickname "LumberJack" comes from his appearance, build, and his liking to plaid, Lumberjack-style shirts.
When it comes to fixing machines, Jack never gives up. His motto is "It ain't broken until it either crumbles... or blows up". Also, being the happy man he is, Jack does not like the sight of sadness and grief, and would do whatever it took to put a smile on the people's faces, no matter how grim the situation might be. "Death is not for mourning the loss of a person, but for celebrating their life as they lived it.", he would say.
Background:
Born and raised by a happy family in Meribia, Jack grew up as a healthy child. It was undeniable even at an early age that he was a natural at tinkering and building things. One day the Archbishop himself came to visit the Mysteres and was so impressed by Jack that he offered to take him under his wing, and unlock the potential in the youth.
Sinel taught Jack almost everything he knew about the mechanics of the day, being almost like a mentor to him. He also tried to teach the child the ways of magic, but unfortunately Jack was a lot more successful in his more "hands-on" persuits. The Archbishop even gave him the distinct honor of helping on some of the Cult's most guarded projects.
It wasn't before long that he began to think of his own dreams, and when he graduated the mechanists academy, decided to move out to find his own life. Jack opened up a mechanics supplies and repairs shop in Meribia. He gives great service for a cheap price, and hardly does any customer complain about his work, since he does it so well. Most of the time he's an honest man, and won't do anything illegal unless it's for a good purpose.
Having a quite bit of knowledge on Forging weapons, Jack created an Axe, whom he calls "Barberella" and provides him with the defense he needs should anyone try to raid his beloved mechanics shop. To say Jack and "Barberella" are inseparable is like saying a drunk and his booze are "Happily married". But he only uses it when he has to, since killing is not exactly Jack's idea of a fun time.
Jack's admiration to gadgets and gizmos can be traced to the interest of his idol, Lord Leo of Althena's Guard. History speaks of Leo riding a magnificent ship, which can ride on land and water without wind or sails. However, the location of the now Legendary "Dragonship Destiny" has been hidden for the last Century, and no one exactly knows what had happened to it. It is Jack's ultimate dream to ride the Dragonship, even if it's for a few minutes, no matter what it takes.
