Gregory was a highly respected and prestigeous mage who teaches in the Academies of Vane, and was regarded to be second in power and authority to Kashier Ausa himself... but many people's knowledge did not extend past that point. Some had heard rumors of his practices of the darker arts, even possession and research into forbidden magics, but those accusations had not been confirmed. He also seems to have a connection to Emili and her lost mother, and both Scott and Tahn harbor deep seeded hatred towards him for very personal reasons. It seemed all of the suspicions of Scott, Tahn, and Lunar itself proved true.. for upon the day of the Trial, Gregory took his opportunity to unseal Emili's latent powers and use them to assasinate his very master, Kashier Ausa, in front of the entire world. After Emili brought about the Second Fall of Vane, the group was drawn to the icy Caldor Wastes where they battled him once again...

During the fight, Emili broke free of Gregory's control, striking him down. It was then that his true colors emerged. The human persona had all been a ruse for he was in actuality the demon, Zeio. The party fled with Ishtar's spell in face of this new evil, but they lost something dear to them. Haylee walked into the arms of Zeio.. willingly.. a new puppet for the demonic marion to control...

Fortunately, Haylee was later rescued before she could be completely corrupted, as the party defeated Zeio in his fortress on Caldor before he could complete his interrogation of Virtue, whom he had used Haylee to kidnap. After Virtue banished him to another dimension with Soul Finger, one can only wonder not so much as if he may reappear, as much as where and when...
