Session Start: Sat Mar 01 21:54:15 2008 Session Ident: #lunar-iog2 * Logging for #lunar-iog2 started * TheStoryteller changes topic to '-= Chapter 70: Lazarus Rises, pt 1 | Location: Colonial Capital Meribia | Pool: 18 MXP =- http://storen.rpgcafe.net/IoG/' == SESSION START == It's been 3 days since the events leading up to the deposing of Mikayla as the mayor of Meribia, and the tragic end to her ambitions. Picking up the pieces in many ways from this, the group now turns its focus on preparing the defenses for the long-rumored arrival of the servitor army... * Saki has barely been seen by the party, having been too busy running around Horam and the town organizing things on her end. Alternately trying to draw the population together, restore flagging spirits, and actually take Horam troop positioning seriously, she's been run off her feet, but to good effect: Horam looks like a ramshackle but effective stockade now, with reinforced walls and guardposts and the odd ramshackle tower. The morning sun rises slowly over the docks, awakening those who still slumber * Niri is still in bed, nursing sore muscles from several days of rather heavy training alternating with lots of rest, per Ryllan's orders for the latter. * Vytor has been busy as well, pushing the workers of the manufacturing quater hard to build ramparts and fortify walls along the city's perimeter. The work isn't exactly pretty, but its far better protection than the city had previously. * Mikel has needless to say given Saki a pretty wide berth since the fall of Mikayla's government. When not sparring with Niri or punching sense into Trune he's been talking to those he recruited during the little revolution, eventually organizing a set of armed vehicles and putting them together as a unit. * Ryllan has been overseeing the placement of troops, and explosives - He's also ensured that as many radios as can be scrounged have been distributed as evenly as possible, so that the combined force might have some prayer of communication and coordination. All personnel have been given explicit orders to report any sightings of Hiro or the approaching hoarde, either by tunnel or ground immediately. * Mikel may also have made a no bunny girl outfit dresscode and gotten a set of guns attached to the Stormrider as well. * Trune is also still in bed, asleep for a moment...until a ray of sunlight from the window begins to beam right on his face as the sun rises. He makes a muffled noise of annoyance and puts a pillow over his head. Ryllan communication network is functional, and it's not long before there's a report in from one of the guard teams in Horam. over the crackling radio, the man speaks. "It looksa like we've sighted some activity in the tunnels in the Horam district sir! Down by Sakura lane, near the Astorian dojo..." * leashy (~leashy513@c-71-193-137-18.hsd1.or.comcast.net) Quit (Ping timeout) * Saki is there in moments, a black shape streaking around the walls of the district at speed without the slightest lick of waiting for the other members of the party. * Ryllan hits his radio, standing from the table where he'd been working, "Okay, inbound. Describe what you can while I'm in motion." * Ryllan double-times to the aforementioned location. * Vytor issues final orders for the combat engineers to make ready, and hustles over to Horam. * Mikel diverts his own patrol, putting out the call for the rest of his group to start assembling in the area ready for a fight. With that he speeds for the area on the Stormrider, which is sporting a set of light guns now. The entrance to the sewers in the area is through an old storm drain beneath the aqueduct that supplies a lot of the drinking water here. Deep within, a security team is stationed in what leads to the ruins of a previous devestation war city's rubble and own waterways, caverns long buried by war & time. * Niri blinks sleeping, sitting up as she hears a commotion in the halls of HQ. "Mmm? Tanan, what's going on?" * Saki bodily drops into the whole well ahead of the others, and streaks down the passageway at speed until she reaches the guards: "Talk to me," she notes quietly, already strapping on the gigantic gauntlets. * Niri listens to the radio crackle next to her bed, and grabs it, listening for the latest reports. [Guardsman] *over radio and to Saki nearby* We heard viobrations coming closer and signs of an explosion or two that rocked the area. I don't think it's an earthquake. Nnn. Can't tell, but people are moving now. The team of several armed soldiers points down into the dark tunnels where a distant light can be seen if you squint. There's also a smell of smoke dispersed with the musty mildew that hangs in the air of the ruins. * Niri swings her feet to the floor and quickly dresses in her battle outfit, obtained from China. Once Tanan is in place, she grabs the radio and hurries out the door. Sounds like something's going on in Horam. * Trune sits up and blinks blearily at his radio for a moment, but his expression slowly becomes more serious, and awake, as he listens to the transmission. He quickly hops out of bed and grabs his belongings, and rushes out the door. * Vytor stands by the hole where Saki earlier dropped out of sight, and waits for the others to arrive. * Ryllan finally arrives, passing Vytor with a quick nod before dropping into the hole. * Saki regards the light for a long moment, then nods. "--alright. So much for the rubble, I guess. Stay here. Tight formation. I'll go take a look." Keep Saki out of trouble until everyone get here, OK Ryllan? There's a little more to see now, as the air in tunnels suddenly si whipped up from absolute stillness. * Mikel flicks the radio as he pulls up, addressing the rest of his detachtment. "Janna, you handle the group for now. Someone bring up a spare or two if it's Hiro, as well." With that he examines the entrance, hrming. * leashy (~leashy513@c-71-193-137-18.hsd1.or.comcast.net) has joined #lunar-iog2 * Trune appears at the predetermined spot a few moments later, stumbling to a stop and panting as if he was running a very long distance, "I'm...I'm here! I saw Niri...she's on her way." It's like something farther down is drawning air in and creating a straight wind. The walls shudder too. * Vytor nods to Trune as he arrives. Also sweet merficful goddess that's the fastest I've ever run in my life. Saki and Ryllan have gone to take a look. * Ryllan throws a belated thumbs up at Vytor as he disappears down the tunnel, finally making it up just as Saki says her piece, He nods at Saki quietly, "Don't do anything crazy alright? Scouting's all good, but..." *he hits his radio* "Other tunnel groups, still quiet?" Alone? The radio responds in turn. "Nothing else to report, sir!" * Saki blinks up in surprise, shielding her eyes in time for a wave of old dust and mould washing past. Then she's grit her teeth and is moving, thumbing on the radio. "--they're blasting. A support pillar or their way in. I'll be fine-- they haven't a hope of touching me now," she finishes with a smirk as she races off down the corridor ahead. Not anymore. Let's go. * Trune nods, gritting his teeth. * Vytor jumps down the hole after them. * Mikel sighs, dismounting from the Stormrider and running after. * Trune follows close behind Vytor. The dust of a millenia seems to protest the sudden activity, as the narrow tunnel gets sudenly very crowded. Saki, who has advanced up ahead, can begin to see the source of the ruckus. There's shouting going on as the wind whips around. "...Damn, I can't shake them!" "Keep going, we have to get to Meribia...!" There's what looks like flares of guns firing and a gurgle or two that echo. * Vytor moves quickly down the tunnel towards the ruckus. * Saki moves with deceptive speed: fixed up and refitted, her armor doesn't make as much noise on her as it used to, and she's all but lost in the gloom. That's broken when she thumbs her radio again, however. "Survivors, with mechs in pursuit! Get here now!" ...Mechs? * Vytor grimaces * Mikel speeds it up, cursing. This...just got a lot more annoying, didn't it? * Ryllan takes off a run, thumbing his own radio, "All tunnel groups, abandon the original plan - if you have time, dismantle the explosives - and no whining. If they're blasting the tunnels, we don't need to help them!" Yeah. * Saki grimaces. "--if you've a better name than that for those things from Bluetooth, I don't care!" she shouts perhaps a little snippily, then makes her entrance known to the group of survivors and soldiers by... quite handily crashing through their lines and into a Bluetooth soldier with a roaring punch that sends it flying. Caring little for her own safety and perhaps laoded for bear, Saki jets around a four way junction with three of the sides collapsed long ago towards the sounds of fighting. There was a group of about 4 wounded mean running at her full bore, in the clothes of Hiro's explorers from the Big Dig. Not far behind them is said famous man himself, with a few bulletsholes in his tattered cape. Saki punched instictively at what seemed like a servitor, and instead got an explosion in her face instead that sent her skidding backwards. From the looks of it, Hiro used the Sword of Althena and wind magic to deflect an explosive round! And said shell came from a group of 6 heavily armed figures. The equipment they bore was extremely advanced, high tech rifles combined with what looked like stealth armored suits in a dark blue motif. helmets shrouded their faces from view, a target display on one eye. * Saki bounces off the floor then as she flings herself backwards into a roll, sideways off a wall: skidding to a stop it's barely a moment later when she's looking up to appraise the scene, gritting her teeth. "--help's arrived, but don't shoot the fuck out of me!" Saki yells, then almost as an afterthought: "... and you're nearly there! We can cover you!" [Hiro] Damn, don't these guys quit?! The bearded adventurer turned around for a brief second when he heard a familiar voice. "Saki! Oh, am I glad to see you! Help get what's left of my men into the city... something big's going down!" * Mikel raises his staff, the yellow jewel set into it crackling with thunder before he sends a flurry of bolts arcing past Saki and Hiro's group towards the enemy riflemen. "Move it already, we've got vehicles up there for you lot to clear out on!" The wordless persuers fire off another volley at the fleeing group, but Hiro once again uses a wind shield to mess up the targetting, causing more damage to the tunnel system. I suppose the hope that they'd be attacking us with sticks was a bit too much. * Saki shifts her head to one side as the lightning comes past, and nods once: "--alright! To the left, then straight until you meet Horam fighters!" * Niri rushes up outside the tunnel, panting wildly. "Got lost...stupid maze of streets." Mikel's support fire then comes in return, knocking 3 of them off their feet with barely a grunt. The three other attackers try to find cover behind some rubble and return fire! Their suits also obscure their bodies partially from sight. * Saki dodges with the wind of the blast, ending up at the entrance next to Mikel. "--this way! Move it, now, or lose your heads! Will you doom Hiro?!" she yells, and it's as if she's Rachel again. The men, running scared, don't argue and flee around the bend into the light of Horam's streets... * Trune follows behind Mikel, tracing patterns in the air with his athames. In a moment, Mikel's thunder arcs are followed by a sudden pluse of water! Whether it hits the enemy is unclear, but at least it looks a little impressive, "Mikel's right! Go! We'll provide cover!...Good! Off you go, now!" * Niri wide-eyes at the crackling of the radio. "What, Dad's down there?" «ooc: Athames = finger. LOL I DON'T HAVE THOSE ANYMORE HABIT :( » * Ryllan steps up with Trune, lending his own power to Trune's, lending the water such force as to blow even the rubble back into the soldiers. * Niri heads for the tunnel entrance, dodging the fleeing men and looking for her father's face. * Vytor hangs back, having no means of ranged attack to fight with. Hiro meanwhile barely dodges another shot, and seemed relieved as a tremendous torrent of water rushes past him and picks up the assailants and throws them backwards into the sweres a great distance << sewers >> Let's get back above ground! * Saki turns on the spot without a word, chasing the men's path back to Horam to ensure their safety. * Trune nods, "Who knows where else these...locusts are coming from!" When the great wave subsides, it's not exactly clear where the soldiers went. [Hiro] *pant* Nice timing -- Come on, talk on the run. We've got a vehicle for you up there too as well. * Mikel spares a look back down the sewers before starting to move back towards the light. * Trune 's face lights up slightly as he breaks into a run, "Seriously? Oh wow, it takes a city getting attacked before I get to drive anything? That's...awesome but mostly sad!" ...meant Hiro, actually. * Vytor brings up the rear, protecting the retreat. You're riding with Ryllan, remember? Oh. Yeah. * Trune 's face darkens a little, "Thanks for being a killjoy in more ways than one." Hiro seems to be in an unusually serious mood as he follows the group back down the tunnel, catching his breath as he goes. "Sorry to show up like this. But my little recon mission went horribly wrong back there." * Saki 's voice comes along the radio as she makes it back to the Horam patrol with Hiro's soldiers: "--Yuriko, enemy contact from underground near Sakura Lane. Watch that direction up top." You're expected. * Niri comes rushing from the tunnel entrance, panting, to meet up with the group. "Dad!" she shouts, seeing him. She breaks into a run. [Yuriko] "I hear you, Saki. We'll be ready at the walls." * Mikel chuckles. "Brace yourself." What for? I don't see...oh. * Niri plows into her father, grabbing him in a bear hug. * Trune chuckles, "Hurricane Niri has arrived." * Mikel grabs his radio, sighing. "Janna, bring one of the spare bikes or ATVs for Hiro, please." ....there's enthusiasm. Hiro is tackled by Niri, a little exhausted and unable to dodge, he allows himself to be hugged more by Niri's strength, placing his hands around her. "Niri... I'm so glad you're safe" * Niri nods, releasing her father after a moment. "So glad to see you, Dad...are you okay?" [Hiro] Well, I've had worse days... Is everything secure back there? We should probably get you back to HQ right away... *she looks to Ryllan and the others for confirmation.* * Tanan makes a soft humming noise. "Hiro. It's good to see you're safe. Th- Ah! The sword..." Hiro still has a tight grip on the sword of Althena.. by the looks of it it has seen a lot of use not too long ago. [Hiro] There's a lot we've got to talk about, Niri. And not sure how much time I've got to say it before 'they' show up. Right. Then let's get back to HQ as quick as possible. Any chance I can ride back with you? * Mikel watches Niri and Hiro out of the corner of his eye, nodding to himself as one of the girls drives over on another ATV, a bike attached to it. It's detatched quick enough as Mikel gestures. "Here you go, Hiro. Don't... uh, wreck it too much? Did I just say that?" Oh goddess I did just say that. Yes, you did. The team of soldiers following the group scouts the tunnels, but can't find any traces of the 6 soldiers. The three struck down aren't even there anymore either, like they simply revived and walked away. Yes, you did. I will remember it forever, Mikel. Forever. Aren't we needed here, Niri? Before you go, Hiro, how far back is the main force, if you know? * Saki has apparently left the soldiers once they reached safety and is now missing herself: somewhere on the move through town, presumably. [Hiro] Thanks, Mikel! It looks like things aren't so bad after all. I expected the city to be a mess. * Niri stares at Mikel, then laughs. Mmmm. I don't know, Tanan. Guys? What's the status here? * Mikel just sighs, hopping back on the Stormrider. "Shuddap. It's a loan from Meribia." Yeah, we got everyone working together. Helped that your wife gave us a few days of warning. * Tanan sounds eager, almost as if he's forgotten the situation. "...the status is that the sword is right in front of you! I'm sorry, Hiro, but... does anyone have a spare sword? A good one? [Hiro] ...! Lucia! She must be getting better if she warned you, too. ...well, I /do/, but I'll want it back afterwards. Mom's nearly fine now, Dad. Don't worry about her. * Saki 's voice comes over the radio again: "... she is doing better. I took a trip to see her a couple of nights ago. Nearly healed up, in fact." * Niri blinks at Tanan, then... "Oh! The sword!" * Trune looks oddly at Tanan, "Uh..." Hiro gives Tanan a slightly dazed look. "Well... there's a little problem with that, too..." * Ryllan pulls out the Icy Blade from behind him, throws it up in the air, and catches it by the blade, "Here. It's not great, but it'll do." A... problem? Hiro revs up the loaner bike and makes for the exit. "Let's get a meeting going so I can give you the details on what I know." * Niri nods. "Patience, Tanan. I guess we have to have a council of war first." I.. what! Get back you, you.. you double bastard! <> * Mikel ...blinks at Tanan. * Niri wide eyes Tanan! Behave yourself! The hell, Prof? * Tanan sounds outraged. "He's riding away with..!" Calm down Tanan! [Hiro] The army coming, the sword, Zophar... you'll want to hear me out before you jump into action! Tanan, shut UP. Right, not getting anywhere near Dad till you calm down. Someone else got a bike for me to ride? Hop on, Niri. Then talk. Everyone in charge has a radio, and we don't have time to call everyone back to headquarters. * Niri nods and jumps on with Mikel. * Trune just shakes his head, "Do we even have time to go back? Why can't we just..." * Trune watches Niri and Mikel hop on the bike, "Oh balls. Nevermind." * Mikel revs up the Stormrider, sighing as he goes after Hiro. "Lemme hit him with one of my spares and see if he'll talk then." * Tanan sputters. "I.. you.. he!" * Saki audibly makes a noise of irritation over the crackle of static and the clomp of boots. "... if it's important, face to face might be best. You never know who's listening in. I'll meet you there." * Niri just sighs as well as Mikel heads off. She gives up on getting Tanan to shut up, settling for just trying to calm him slightly with wordless reassurance. * Trune watches the others leave with a slightly befuddled expression, "What the fuck was that all about?" We'll find out soon enough. Hiro rides on in a hurry. "Alright, here's the deal..." [Hiro] Those creeps that were shadowing my men are just the tip of the iceberg of what's out there. You see, since you left I've been working on scouting out the tunnel system.. turns out that thing runs under the entire continent! It...what? How is that possible? [Hiro] But while I was discovering this, we also found out about a gigantic invasion force that was slowly massing in Bluetooth, and moving supplies and equipment down the tunnels towards the colonies out of sight * Mikel blinks, looking at Hiro. "Wait, are they moving on other areas besides Meribia then?" * Trune pales at this revelation, realizing what this could mean. [Hiro] Yeah... it looks like they are planning to hit both Meribia, Raculi and Takkar at the same time. using the tunnels, they could sneak under the walls and bypass the defenses. Fortunately, you seem to have made that harder over here.. good on ya! All three at once? How big is this army? ...Crap! Do people in Raculi and Takkar know this? ...well, shit. What about the academy? Do they know? Is that army targetting them too? [Hiro] I sent some scouts to warn them, but I don't know if they made it! There might be something with the Academy going on too, but meribia seems the primary target to take out the government and the major center of resistance. Dad! Need me to take the wings and go warn them? [Hiro] I bet the civil war going on here was even being made worse by their agents. Hiro. Write this all down, /now/. Two - no, three copies. As soon as he's done, Niri, go deliver them. * Mikel frowns. "Someone's going with her, right?" Yes. Someone is. Besides you. I love you too. Don't swing that way, sorry. [Hiro] Okay, Okay! I'll get writing... but hear me out. I was on my way here to warn everyone but got ambushed by a strike force that looks like it was near the main invasion force. It looks like whoever is coming discovered you blocked the tunnels and is going to switch to a frontal assault on the walls instead. Excactly what we were hoping for. Dammit. [Hiro] I can rule out them still sneaking in through the tunnels though, like you saw those vanishing guys back there do! * Niri sighs at Mikel and Tanan. "I'll be FINE. Tanan's got it covered." << er can't >> What? They're going to breech the walls? ...I hate these people. A lot. * Saki hops rooftops at speed, past the section of the party still waiting at the Astorian dojo sewer entrance; when the talking started to be done over radio she apparently turned right around to head back to home turf. "That's fine--" she smirks as she impacts the ground next to Vytor and Trune. "--we'll be ready. Horam's walls won't fall so easily." We've been spending the last few days bolstering the city's defenses. I think we'll be okay. * Mikel sighs, not looking happy with this. "Fine, fine. What's the deal with the sword?" [Hiro] That's sure a relief. I was worrying Meribia would be a sitting duck... we've then got to get the word out to the Virtue Society and tha Blacklace group and even the Labs and Academy to get prepared * Saki gives an overly cheery and wildly grinning salute to the pair of them - part of her apparently enjoying herself - and launches off in the direction of the walls. Yeah, Dad....Tanan says we need the Sword of Althena. What's the word on that? hiro scribbles down on a free piece of paper some notes to take to the mayors and leaders, while coughing as the subject changes. * Trune eyes Hiro, a little suspicious now, "Yeah, what is the deal with that?" * Vytor watches Saki leave, wondering if her enthusiasm and confidence might be misplaced. [Hiro] *switches the radio off* This is just between us, but if Tanan is getting that antsy it must be because you've found all the armor pieces, right, Niri? I'm complete enough to power the sword now. I'm sure of it. «ooc: nix my last line. Sorry! » * Mikel raises an eyebrow, keeping one eye on the road. * Niri nods, frowning. Hiro smiles proudly. "I'd love to pass the torch of this burden along to you, but there's one tiiiiiny little problem." And what's that? [Hiro] The only way the sword of Althena can be passed along to another human hero is for a dragon to give it to you with their blessing. But... are there any more yet alive to do it? I heard The Star Dragon fell not long ago... * Mikel twitches, the Stormrider swerving ever so slightly for a moment. What? We needed Em- ... There are no words. Are you SURE? * Niri stares at her father. "But..." * Trune blinks down at his radio, "...We needed her?' * Niri blinks. "Wait! Dad! There's....there might be a way." Hiro puts a hand on Niri's shoulder. "Don't give up though... I'm sure there's a way to do it!" Then a pause and a blink. "Oh?" ...good, now we do have to find Pandora. One sec. Let's pull over and talk. There's HQ right up ahead. And yes. We do have to find Pandora. Find...Pandora? * Saki hops up two barricades and lands on a third, skidding to a halt alongside Yuriko and keeping a watchful eye on the horizon. "... we've had confirmation from Hiro. They're going to come overland." This can't end well. [Hiro] Hmmm... wish I could tell you more about that elusive sorceress. But still, I've got another hunch. * Mikel brings the Stormrider to a stop, looking at Hiro. "What's that hunch?" [Hiro] Lucia's sure to have a clue, since she was able to command dragons long ago. If anything with their blood still lives, she'd know about it. This doesn't make any sense! You literally can't give it to us? [Hiro] I could, but it'd be little better than any dull blade off the street! We returned the dragons' essence to the Spire...that wouldn't do it, would it? Hmm. Tch! Useless damned moody hunk of... [Hiro] To work with your powers, it's gotta be the ready to accept you, Tanan. But yeah, got to talk to Mom. Okay, I'll take those reports to the other cities, then head to the Spire, and shut UP Tanan we'll handle it. [Hiro] And it can't do that unless I kick the bucket.. which I ain't doing anytime soon... or we find us a dragon somewhere. * Niri looks horrified. "Dad." Do not even JOKE about that. I'm serious. That would do it? Tanan, don't * Niri leaps a few feet away from her father. [Hiro] Heh. That's right.. only person who will be kissing dirt is those soulless monsters from the north! Tanan, I will take you off and lock you up so help me. ...we'll look for other ways first. Do I still have to let Pandora live? Or can I kill her now? * Tanan sounds deadly cold now. "We might need her more than ever. It's possible these two will be able to prevent me from fulfilling my purpose." Don't make us lock you up with Tanan, Mikel. Is it possible to release the souls she has captive without killing her? * Trune just shakes his head, not quite sure what to say to this anymore. I can already see how convincing her to do that will go * Mikel just shakes his head. [Hiro] Who knows. But more importantly, we have no clue where she is. As for the army coming knocking... it'll be here in less than 24 hours by my guess. And somewhere in that frozen place, there's a ritual with Zophar going on. ...A ritual? ...soul preservation? * Trune starts, "A ritutal? What do you mean? What is the destroyer up to?" [Hiro] Yeah, isn't it obvious? They're going to create a body for him! What?! * Niri looks horror-stricken. How many days ago did they start this? We need to get someone there NOW. [hiro] This whole war is just a ploy to slow us down so it can't be stopped. Right, then.... Tch. We need him in that body if we're going to kill him, but if we can't kill him... Then...then...shouldn't someone...go there! Everything we do here will be meaningless if he's revived!...I...no, I don't mean that...Nrgh! * Niri tries to think. * Mikel raises the radio, sighing. "Ryllan? Any ideas?" * Saki nods, unseen. "Lazarus," she notes over the radio, with not a little satisfaction. "... looks like we made the right choice. Then, this makes it easier." What do we risk if we let him be for now? Would that help or hurt us in the long run? Until we can get answers from Mom, and protect against this assault. * Ryllan curses, then hits his radio, "What's the timeline on the ritual?" Meanwhile, Yuriko is helping organize the fighters, for Saki. "They're coming in broad daylight after all? Maybe they actually have some honor after all." << gah redundant >> Hiro? Any idea? * Saki all but flops down on the wall, tired from running like crazy across the city; dangling her legs over the side, she snorts in amusement. "--who knows? It's some kind of foil. We might have to leave you all here and head to the central point." Hiro rubs his temple, sheathing the sacred blade. "No, not a clue.. but it's likely been going on for some time." [Hiro] That strange woman Emiria is probably there, too. If he's sending out armies, he must be deserperate. And close. Not helpful. Ryllan? [Hiro] It's like a damn factory, I'll bet. Just pumping out those creatures and their weaponry. It's high quality stuff. ... Okay, here's my suggestion. * Ryllan comes up behind the group at the HQ on foot, looking worried, and making sure his radio is off, "...If we don't have a timeline, and we can't get the sword quickly, we... May have to move up immediately. * Niri stops * Mikel ...blinks, turning to look at Ryllan. Wait. Hold on. I think I might be able to contact Mom through the Pendant...let me give it a try. Immediately? We can't let him be reborn without us ready to kill him. That's a game we can't play. The damage he could do before we could track down Pandora... * Tanan greets Ryllan's suggestion in an emotionless near-monotone. "Without the sword, it's useless." Shh, everyone. Hold on a sec, going to try to get a hold of Mom. * Niri concentrates, willing the Pendant to connect her to her mother's voice. * Saki thumbs the radio. "... I'm not leaving Horam until we've at least repelled the first wave," she notes cooly. Hiro stands closer to Niri, peering at the pendant and getting a far off look in his eyes. * Tanan mutters "using me as a damned megaphone again" before falling silent * Trune puts the heel of his palm against his head, muttering. * Mikel gives Tanan a look. * Niri ignores Tanan, pretty exasperated with him. She does, however, give her father a warning look and take a few more steps away. * Niri concentrates. It's obvious she's made contact. Hiro sighs and shrugs. "Hopefully that can work. It was her most prized possession." * leashy (~leashy513@c-71-193-137-18.hsd1.or.comcast.net) has left #lunar-iog2 * Mikel nods, keeping an eye out and the radio open for anything else. * Niri murmurs, still in contact with Lucia. "...We have a few more days before the ritual is complete. Just a few though." A 'few'? She says...a handful. * Trune 's voice becomes slightly cold, "An attack on the city itself could take days. We may not be able to wait." A 'handful'? * Mikel looks a bit annoyed now. Calm down. ...We may have a solution. Just wait while I try to get more specifics... * Ryllan waits, eyes half-closed, deep in thought. * Niri sighs as she breaks contact. "Okay. We have...SOME answers." There may be one last dragon left that we don't know about. But...Mom's not sure. We might have some other things to try too. * Mikel blinks, looking at Niri. ? The answers will be in the Spire, at any rate. Then...we should head there, right? Or at least some of us should. ...splitting us up doesn't sound like the best of ideas. But...okay, well, from talking with Mom I got a sense of the timing...she couldn't say for certain, but... I know, then again, leaving the city completely unguarded right now is also not super appealing. I think we have time to let Zophar be for the moment. I think we can afford to at least try to save Meribia. If we've got at least a day or two, city first. * Tanan sounds much more normal now, though someone quiet. "We have three or four options then. We can secure this place and then... well... there's three or four things we can do." Just a handful of days is pretty nonspecific, but I think....well, we might have as much as a week. We can leave them in far better shape than if we run off now. * Trune looks uneasy, "That's...cutting it pretty close." It's better than, say, two days. * Vytor thinks So now the question is...do I leave you guys here to finish getting the defenses ready while I go see about ways to get the sword? Or do I stay here? * Mikel gives Niri a bit of a look. "You wandering around with just yourself and Tanan doesn't sit very well with me." Right, if you're going anywhere, someone needs to go with you. A few of us can stay here to keep an eye on things. The rest can see about the sword situation. Me, Vytor, and Saki are most involved with the defenses here. * Mikel just frowns, mulling thi sover. That means Niri, Trune and Mikel can see to the sword. Not ideal, but possibly necessary. Hiro ponders. Hiro will have to come with us if we split ways now. Trune should stay, in that case. ...Wait. * Niri frowns, thinking. Huh? No, no way, I want to help! * Saki is irritatingly silent on the radio. Can you really spare us now, though? So much depends on how much time we have. [Hiro] Hey... what ever happened to the diary that the Star Dragon had with her? Wait. I...wait. Need to ask Mom another question. ...I've got it. Session Time: Sun Mar 02 00:00:00 2008 Why? * Niri blinks. "Yeah, Mikel took it..." * Trune gives Tanan a determined, and perhaps suspicious, stare as he says this. Relax, Trune. * Mikel frowns even more, looking over at Hiro. [Hiro] I was just thinking. I heard it had the knowledge of all the Star Dragons in it... did it have their power also? It...did it? ...a bit, I think. The part of... Emili that was the Star Dragon's in Pandora. Where DOES the Star Dragon's power come from, anyway? [Hiro] Speaking as a human who BEAT the Star Dragon, it sure was pretty intense! ... Could we channel the little that's in the book? I...wonder. Could we? * Mikel ...frowns even more. Set up a... 'fake' approval? The... bit of Emili that was involved in the unravelling is with Pandora. Are we sure that's the same as the star dragon? Dad, would Mom know? She told us so, Tanan. When I chained her. * Mikel reaches into his jacket, pulling out the diary and regarding it for a moment. * Vytor listens quietly, not having any better ideas. [Hiro] Mmm, honey might have a clue there. But with all the soul business, I dunno if it would work right. Mikel regards Sandra's Diary, the silver chain that bound it to her waits still broken and the two stolen pages missing. It certainly can't hurt to try, can it? There's definitely an aura of magic about the book. Hmmm. I have a good deal of star magic myself. Maybe I could get some answer from it? * Mikel mulls, focusing for a couple of moments. Mikel can feel a harmony with the universal energies present in the tome, passed down as it was from Emili's mother after her death. But something is missing - the power is nowhere near what he felt from Emili herself. Mm. It has some power... but nothing like what Emili had. [Hiro] Guess Emili is in the same situation as me a little bit? * Ryllan inspects the book closely, then sighs, "No. No chance of amplifying it, even with some raw star energy - There's something... different about the Star Dragon power. It's subtle, but.. It's enough to make the difference." As you, Dad? What do you mean? [Hiro] Ah, just that something else is anchoring the sword to me, and Prophetess is still holding her in the world. It's always something... * Mikel tucks the book back into his jacket, closing his eyes with a sigh [Hiro] I really hate it when things get in the way of a good plan! But maybe the Spire is where we need to really be looking. * Saki 's voice finally comes over the radio. "If you're looking for an expert in shattering willforce links, you've found one. It might not be exactly as planned, though." The radio clicks off, then back on. "--also, it'd hurt. A real ton." * Niri frowns, then looks at Hiro. "What do you think?" * Ryllan sighs, "... Assuming we don't let Saki try punching it out of you, Hiro, You need to drop off those warnings, then go to the spire, Niri. If there's a chance there..." * Saki pauses several beats, then her voice comes through again, quite amused. "... she was kidding," she adds, "... I'm fairly sure you don't want my punching your father in the face." «ooc: me » Not especially, no. Hiro then has a good laugh. "If there's one thing I've learned, you'll always find an answer to your questions inside an ancient ruin." He then adds a bit sheepishly, "Or certain doom, but I can deal with that." * Trune taps a foot, "Then, if we're going to go that route, we'd best do it. Time...is not on our side either way." I guess so. Who's going, then? I will. * Mikel closes his eyes, thinking. "Me." You. Me. Hiro, for sure. Maybe one other. The spire should be fairly safe. Trune, Mikel, draw straws or something. It won't need the both of you and we may well need one of you. Do you need one of them to stay here and help, Ryllan? * Mikel points at Trune. "He's more powerful than I am, but fine." Maybe... Mikel and that book will be of some use. As much extraneous dragon-stuff as we can get might be needed. * Niri nods. "Okay. Mikel, Tanan, Dad, and me, then?" * Trune looks a little angry all of a sudden, but lets it slide, "Just be careful." They need you here, Trune. It'll be all right. * Saki 's voice floats over the radio, amused - smirking audibly. "--try not to pine too much." * Niri rolls her eyes at Saki, then brings out the White Dragon Wings. Right. Sure. * Mikel flicks the radio. "You're taking orders from Ryllan until I'm back, Janna. Don't give him too much trouble." Ready, everyone? Ryllan, we'll be back as soon as possible, after we deliver the warnings and go to the Spire. * Saki 's voice cuts through again, but calmer this time. "... good luck." Good luck. Be careful. Good luck. * Trune is quiet as the group leaves. He looks concerned and angry all at once. * Mikel gives the others a bit of a salute. * Niri nods, giving Trune a reassuring smile in particular. She waves to the others, then concentrates on the wings. And in a flash of light, Nirika Salyan and her father Hiro along with the adept Mikel vanish from the Meribian scene... The trip to the Spire is rather roundabout, with stops in Raculi and Takkar to deliver the news of impending invasion... said announcement is accepted with seriousness at the sight of who delivers it, and all around the colonies the defenders also prepare to whether the coming storm. Weary, the trio finally materializes inside the great Crystal Spire. The air is calm and tranquil, and above you on the cieling looms the image of the angel slaying the multi-headed serpent with righteous judgement. * Niri sighs tiredly, then looks up at the angel. "...Was this the image?" Hiro phews and shakes his head. "those things sure are a lot more fun than when I had them. I'm almost envious, Niri!" * Mikel gives Hiro a bit of a look, shaking his head. "...Come on, let's sort it out." * Niri casts about for her mother's voice. Mom, is this the image you mentioned? As Niri calls out there's a series of footsteps from the lift that elads upwards to the pinnacle. In the shadows from it steps the figure of Lucia, holding the wall for support as she walks with great difficulty. Wait... walking?! Mom!! You're all right! Image? Is.. oh. Could th- should you be up? * Niri rushes forward. Careful. Take it easy, Mom... Hiro's eyebrows raise instantly. 'Lucia!" Niri is the first to reach Lucia, who leans on her daughetr heavily. Her blue and red raiments are still tainted in some places with the remnants of the icey curse, but she is apparently unfrozen enough to move, however awkwardly. * Niri supports her mother, giving her a bit of a hug as she does so. [Lucia] N..Niri... forgive me. But, I had.. to greet Hiro and you properly... It's all right, Mom...just don't push yourself. Hiro walks over confidently and lends his wife his aid, giving her a small peck on the cheek. "Take it easy, sweetie. I'm not going anywhere." Lucia smiles warmly and is speechless for a minute. "Hiro... I almost thought you..." * Niri looks up as she and her father help Lucia along. "Is that the image you were talking about?" [Hiro] ...it'll take more than some zombie armies to get the drop on me. Lucia, Niri and Hiro proceed to a spot that affords a good view of the stained glass scenery above. Staring at the image, the cloaked and armored figure's sword is intricately detailed... it is enough of a likeness to prompt Hiro to unsheath the blade and inspect it in fascination. * Mikel keeps a respectful distance from the reunion, watching for now. [Hiro] So, you think it's the very same one...? It sure looks like it... [Lucia] It is.. without a doubt. That's the image of the dragon who forged the equipment long ago, or so it was said to me by the Goddess herself. * Niri stares at it. "And you say the dragon's spirit is still inside there, maybe?" [Lucia] I can feel the presence of it, always watching. There has to be some truth. * Tanan hmms. "In there? I can't feel anything like th-... I guess this entire place just feels strange, how could I know?" How do we call it out of there? As they speak the sword of Althena, the golden handle in the shape of a dragon starts to pulse softly. [Hiro] Too bad Nall isn't around .. he gave me this in the first place to... hey did you see that? Yeah...hold it closer, Dad! [Lucia] ...I think.. it might be calling to us. Hiro looks at the sword, then at the visage several stories up. "Hmm, kinda hard to do that." Good thing Niri can fly. * Niri chuckles wrly. "Dad, can you hand me the sword?" [Lucia] *coughs once, placing a hand on Hiro's shoulder* Let me help. I might still have enough connection to summon it. Sure I can't help? Hiro then gets a strange expression, between embarassed and happy at his daughter. "...damn, why didn't I think of that." * Niri giggles. "I couldn't remember if I'd told you about it or not." She summons a wave of wind energy, buoying herself up on a cushion of air. Hiro then gladly and respectfully presents the sword of Althena to Niri. You would expect it to pulse with power, but in your hands it seems to shine dully and be quite heavy. * Niri takes the sword, apparently unconcerned by the lack of response, and soars up toward the ceiling, holding the sword out to the image. Niri almost feels as if she is flying into heaven as the light up close to the stained glass window is intense. Holding the sword out, there is another reaction of pulsing light. In fact, it feels as if she could be dragged into the glass itself. * Niri blinks, unsure if she should be worried about this. She continues to hold the sword toward the stained glass though, not resisting. Hiro and Lucia watch from below, the holy woman holding to him to keep ehrself upright. She then clears her throat, regaining some of that detached and regal composure suddenly. her voice turns from soft to commanding, and the words echo... [Lucia] *murmuring* Dragons of Althena.. shine forth! Fill my daughter with the strength of ages and empower her to overcome the destroyer in our midst! * Mikel raises an eyebrow at Lucia before raising his gaze to where Niri's floating. The light that Niri witnesses before soon become blinding, the entire scene of the heavenly warrior filling her vision. Everything is white... it is all you can do just to hold onto the sword for dear life. * Niri winces, squinting against the bright light and clinging to both the sword and her wind spell. Niri hears a couple of gasps from below, as she is yanked into the effigy right before everyone's eyes. The first thing Niri hears is.. a song. * Niri listens carefully, trying to identify the music, waiting to see if anything reveals itself... It appears to be a soft hymn that is sung by an invisible choir. It is familiar... not unlike the tune taught to her by her mother. * Niri finds herself humming it softly in response. Slowly, the melody brings you to awareness. You appear to be standing upon a crystalline stairway that leads to an ancient shrine. Everything here appears to glow with a light that pulses in tune to the song. * Niri looks around, then begins to ascend the stairway. There is no door to the structure, and the way inside unimpeded. All around is that similar clear crystalline lattice and marble walls like the Spire. But there is also hints of some strange, magical technology at play... * Niri examines the room, then calls out quietly, "...Hello? Is anyone here?" The way merely goes forward, the song continuing in the background. In the end of the corridor is what at first appears a statue of a dragon angel, seated upon a golden hued chair. * Niri continues walking, then stops in front of the statue. As Niri speaks, flecks of the dust of the ages begin to stir, and the effigy turns out to be not a statue at all. Slowly a scaled head raises up, and the white robe begins to shift. The golden armor shakes off the calcite and gleams once more. [???] ...who disturbs my eternal watch over this world? * Niri looks up at the creature, tilting her head to see. "You are...the dragon?" My name is Niri Salyan. I've come to ask your help. The figure, even seated, is taller than Niri. Its voice echoes in tune to the pervading harmony, a deep bass in the symphony of voices. "...Niri Salyan. Daughter of Hiro, he who failed to slay the Destroyer." * Tanan finally speaks up. "We intend to fix that, but it seems we need your help." * Niri nods. "It...wasn't his fault. But we're ready to finish the job. We just need the Sword of Althena to accept me." Or me, more precisely. Or.. us, I suppose. We can't do this without its cooperation. [???] It is truly a dark time... if only I am the last remaining one who you would contact. Yes. You're our last resort, I think. The figure then rises up from the chair to its full height, an armored, draconic winged templar in a pure robe like the starlight. "I... am the Archangel, he who forged the arms for Althena to first cleanse the world. I have had many names... but you may call me Michael." * Niri nods respectfully. "Greetings, Michael." Can you help us, then? [Archangel] Tradition dictated that he who was my successor, the Dragonmaster among your kind, would be the heir to the sacred blade. [Archangel] But this world has become a much different realm since those times since the devestation visited upon us. The dragons... are gone. [Archangel] The White Dragon Nall had bequeathed the sword of Althena unto Hiro in order that he might slay the Star Dragon to open the future for humanity. But, this was a mistake made by a whelp who used it recklessly. [Archangel] Lucia herself even did not realize the error of failing to employ it against Zophar in their battle upon Lunar. [ARchangel] Such sins allowed Zophar's spirit to remain alive, and the evil within all of our hearts to once again ensure his return. * Tanan takes on a disapproving tone. "Sins? They fought. They stood where no one else did. They bought us the time to make it until now. And this time..." * Niri glowers. "It's true." [Archangel] You come before me asking for the weapon to slice the throat of evil, but why will you succeed where every other human has failed? You face not only a dark god, but the very errors of all of humanity. The things that destroyed your world many times in history. ...Because making mistakes is what humanity is all about - making them and then FIXING them. We have a brand new start, a clean slate. I'm not about to let the world get destroyed right when we have the chance to start over. And...there's too much I have to protect. Too much I can't allow to be harmed. * Tanan speaks simply. "It is my reason for being. We ask for the sword, and I will stand against him. If you will not help us, I will stand against him. If you tell me it is useless, I will stand against him. If no matter what we do he will revive again and again then I will hound him until the end of time." * Niri nods solemnly in agreement. [Archangel] Are you prepared to take up the holy sword, to give your life not only for your loved ones, but also to protect those who do not understand or would even hate you? Of course. * Niri speaks with no hesitation. Having spent so much time adjusting to this idea, she has no doubts. The towering dragon warrior nods solemnly. [Archangel] I see. Your resolve is strong, even if your flesh may be weak. You and the weapon of Johnathan's will... together with the will of the people to prosper and remake this world... [Archangel] With the passing of Zophar, the old gods who controlled your destiny will be at an end. [Archangel] ...step forward, Niri. And Tanan. Recieve, then, my final blessing. To wield the Sword of Althena in my stead. * Niri nods, stepping forward as requested. As you step forward, the Sword of Althena begins to glow with a bright pulse of light! The weigh within it fades, and the song that hums through the chamber now fills your heart as well. * Niri closes her eyes, taking a deep breath as the harmony fills her. [Archangel] The hour grows late, my child. But in the darkest hours, is when hope springs Eternal. The heavenly song that he seeks to destroy... * Niri smiles softly. "You can count on us. We'll defeat him. Thank you." * Tanan murmurs a quiet "thank you", and falls silent. * Niri looks around, wondering how she can get out of here now. The elder dragonknight sits back down upon the chair roughly. "This flows through spirit, time... everything. If you have a moment when all seems lost, remember it." * Niri nods. "Thank you. I will." [Archangel] Now go -- the fate of your world is now yours to determine. I will pray for your safe return. At that the figure returns to a silent sleep, and the room dims... Awareness seems to slip away as well, but right before it too fades, Niri catches a glimpse of the shrine, sitting atop a lighted disc, floating high upon the air. She awakens to the sensation of shaking * Niri blinks, coming awake. "...Mmm?" * Mikel is kneeling beside Niri, being the one who was shaking her awake. He lets out a sigh of relief as Niri wakes up, leaning back a bit. "Don't /do/ that, jeez." Hiro and Lucia are also kneeling around Niri, who's laying on the floor of the spire. [Lucia] Are you alright, dear? * Niri gives Mikel a sheepish look, sitting up. "Sorry. Didn't exactly mean to." Yes, I'm fine, Mom...just great. We have the sword! *She lifts it, hilt up, to show the others. The pulsing glow seems to have returned...* >> Indeed... Niri has acquired the sword of Althena! >> Now channeling Tanan's Muscle at last. Learned artifact power "Holy Light!" * Tanan sounds different now. Quieter, almost serene. "I never imagined. We can do this now, I'm certain of it." * Niri smiles. "I know we can." Hiro hugs her. "There's nothing better than when a child surpasses a father... you proved that bigtime." * Niri hugs her dad back, but shrugs. "I dunno about that, Dad. But we'd better hurry back. Mom, are you gonna be okay?" Lucia smiles, even as she stands shakily. "I had always dreamed of this moment." * Mikel glances at the sword for a moment, letting out a bit of a whistle as he stands up. He waits for Hiro and Niri's hug to end before offering her a hand up. [Lucia] I'll... be alright. I've done what I can... * Niri takes the hand, giving Mikel a reassuring smile. Her gaze lingers on him just a moment, maybe the faintest touch of worry there. Hiro helps Lucia up and gives her a hug as well. The atmosphere suddenly is so hopeful. * Niri is clearly a little impatient to get back, however. After a moment, Lucia's eyes then stare at Niri awhile and the motherly tone creeps up as something is noticed. * Mikel blinks at Niri for a moment before grinning. "Well. Town to save, now." * Niri blinks at her mother. "What is it, Mom?" [Lucia] ...I'm not sure I approve of saving the world in that outfit. I will end you and all that you love. I am not a fashion statement. <<...strike that!>> << ahahahahhaha >> << Don't you dare. Leave it in.>> << Seriously >> * Niri blinks, then looks down at her clothes, then blushes a little. "...It's comfortable and it works well for fighting!" << No, take it out. :P Yeesh >> * Mikel buries his face in his free hand, starting to snicker. "Quick, let's go before you get a lecture." Eheh, yeah. Dad, you ready? * Tanan doesn't change his tone, beyond the faintest hint of amusement. "I think I'll suffice for the purposes of battle." * Niri pulls out the White Dragon Wings once more. Tanan, I think she means what else I'm wearing. But anyway! We need to get going. Hiro then hugs Lucia and gives her a deep kiss. "Sorry honey. I've got to go save the world... again. I'll be back before supper." Lucia then blushes and gives a pouty expression. "Oh what will I do with you." * Niri looks away from her parents. :P * Mikel has found one of the engravings to be rather interesting. Hiro, bereft of the sword, instead fingers his trusty boomerang over his back. "Let's go Niri!" * Niri mutters to Mikel. "Sorry about that." Right, Dad! * Niri , with a last wave to her mother, summons the power of the wings as her father joins her and Mikel. And with a swoosh, Meribia greets their feet in the blink of an eye. * TheStoryteller changes topic to '-= Chapter 70: Lazarus Rises, pt 1 | Location: Colonial Capital Meribia | Pool: 14 MXP =- http://storen.rpgcafe.net/IoG/' * Niri looks around outside HQ, to see if the others are around. She grabs her radio and speaks into it. "Ryllan, we're back...what's our status?" * Mikel pulls out the radio, thumbing it on. "Yo, we're back. With a shiny passed on sword." A couple hours have passed since they left the capital city, and everything seems to be intact, if however tense. * Saki suddenly comes over the radio, a tortured wail of pain. Gyaahhh! * Saki 's signal cuts dead immediately afterwards... then a few seconds pass and her voice comes through loud and clear. "... sorry. I've a petulant, impatient child here with me." * Mikel ...blinks, then thumbs up on the radio. "I hate you, Rachel." Oh dear. << thumbs on* >> * Ryllan hits the radio, "Try to keep some form of radio discipline. We might need these things one of these days. Glad to hear it went well here. It's been pretty quiet. A few skirmishes. Nothing fancy." More scouts. * Saki sounds amused despite herself. "Current status is 'bored'. Thye're no challenge at all at this point." Where do you have my group right now? * Mikel hops back onto the Stormrider, starting it up. And where do you want me positioned? Mikel, can I hop on? Hiro strentches, a little bit lighter without the artifact blade on him. Sure. * Niri looks back at Hiro. "What're you going to do, Dad?" Hiro, you need a replacement sword for this little mess? [Hiro] Yeah, I'd appreciate it Mikel. * Mikel unclips Ghaleon's sword from his belt and lobs the sheathed blade over to Hiro. "'ere you go. Need that back later, though." Uh... A moment, Mikel. Ah, here we are. Assuming you came in where you did before, they're just a few blocks east of you, parked to preserve fuel until another scouting party comes in. Be careful with it. * Mikel gives Hiro a bit of a look. "Don't kill any dark gods with it, either." [Hiro] As for a plan... I'm going to sleep. No, really. The army's coming near dawn I wager -- and I'm still winded from my battle in the tunnels. Hiro catches the blade deftly in his hands then promptly stares. * Mikel hits the radio. "Ah, right. I've got Niri with me right now." Good idea, I think. I've been resting up a lot lately. You need to recharge. [Hiro] How did you... * Niri gives her dad a hug, then jumps on the back of Stormrider, wrapping her arms around Mikel's waist. Leah's blade. You may recognize it. Long story. hiro then starts chuckling to himself. "This is the sword I slew Zophar with the first time." And...yeah. * Niri looks downcast. "You know Leah's gone?" Hiro then frowns slightly. "So, she's passed on? Such a shame. That girl suffered so much." [Hiro] Well... one more person we've got to get some payback for! * Niri nods, staring at the ground. "I...did everything I could for her. But she's at peace now." Well, you get some rest, Dad. C'mon, Mikel...we'd better join the others. *radio* Niri's been powering the wings? Then she should probably get something to eat, and stand down until we're closer to dawn. I'd hate to have you fall out of the sky. * Mikel gives the radio a bit of a look before shrugging. * Niri grumbles a little at that. * Tanan continues to speak softly. "This might be wise. I need time to adjust to this joining, as well." * Mikel glances at Niri. "Your call." * Niri sighs and gets off Stormrider. "All right." She puts a hand on Mikel's shoulder for a moment though. "Mikel...sorry about earlier." Mm. Don't worry about it. Rest up and get some food. * Niri nods and heads inside HQ with her dad. * Mikel speeds off to rejoin his group. Hiro plays with Ghaleon's sword a bit more, apparently not bothered at all with it. You'd think he had no idea of what it could do, or maybe he already mastered it long ago. "...well, let's see if we can make that 2 for 2, old friend." he mutters quietly to himself. * Trune 's voice finally pipes up on the radio, "...Glad you made it back." * Niri pulls out her radio. "Yeah, everything went fine, Trune..." * Trune 's voice sounds a lot less angry than it did earlier, "Well, naturally, that I didn't have any doubt about." * Niri smiles a bit. "Ryllan's ordered me to get some rest and something to eat. I'll join you guys in a little while." * Vytor (DNW@c-67-180-33-225.hsd1.ca.comcast.net) Quit (Quit: ) Yeah, ditto me too. I'm just finishing up a few preperations here...go get some rest, okay?
