Session Start: Fri Nov 16 16:14:41 2007 -=There's gonna be luding...only in Kenya=- GMVytor> The relative calm and quiet has returned to the makeshift sanctuary Vytor has found for himself. Occasionally the muffled sounds of some party-related goings on interrupts the quiet. But the sound soon flits away as quickly as it came. GMVytor> And its into this quiet that Niri eventually finds herself, having finally found the person she was looking for. * Niri peers cautiously around the door, looking for Vytor. "Hello...?" she says hesitantly, as if not wanting to disturb him. * Vytor is once again lying on the ground, staring at the ceiling, and turns his head to his new visitor, "Hi, come on in. I'd offer you a seat, but they're all ruined." * Niri edges her way in. "I noticed that in some of the other rooms I peered into." She takes a seat on the floor next to Vytor. "How are you doing?" * Vytor takes a good breath before responding, "I'd be lying if I said I was OK." * Niri sighs and nods. "I had a feeling, even before this last battle with the Prophetess, that there was something up with you. Care to talk about it at all?" I suppose it can't hurt. * Vytor sits up and takes another breath. "Ok, you know all this business about Lazarus?" * Niri nods, listening quietly. She says nothing but does her best to look encouraging. Its starting to creep me out a bit. Especially after all that...stuff we saw. * Niri sighs. "I don't blame you. I don't like it either...it gave me the screaming heebie-jeebies." I know we can to use Lazarus to help Saki and Rachel, but I'm starting to wonder if its such a good idea. * Niri nods slowly. I think...we shouldn't give up on the idea just yet, but we need to be very, very careful. This is a scary technology that could easily be misused. And honestly...I'm getting sick and tired of artificially created people, no matter what form they're in. It's just not FAIR. Fair? No. Not fair, to them, or to us. Like, the Elementalors and Tanan. And honestly, the fact that none of them seem to be bothered creeps me out. I suppose that's one way to see it. But to me, this is different. Tanan and the Ellirmontlars, its like they were made to be individuals, specifically made to be their own person, even if they're not exactly like you and me. * Niri nods. "That's true. And these...things...from the Lazarus project, they have no personalities, no souls, at all. Right?" * Vytor pulls his knees up to his chest. "Yeah, its like they were never meant to BE anyone. Just warm bodies to get something done. Like they're displosable people or something. Throw one away and get another. No one would notice." * Niri shivers. Yeah, that's even worse. It's...ugh. So what do you think we should do about it? I know it's upsetting, but it's also a chance to help Rachel and Saki...what do you think? I'm not sure I really want to go back there anymore. To Bluetooth? * Vytor nods Nor do I, really. But you'll notice I refrained from going the first time. I have...a really big problem with radiation. Can't blame you for that, really. But...I think we're going to have to go back, like it or not. Whatever's there is starting to come out of Bluetooth. ...hm. Tilea said the same thing. Your sister? Yeah. She had a nightmare about that place. Oh? Can you tell me about it? I mean...not if you don't want to. No, its fine. She dreamed that the northern ice split open, and that an army of faceless, identical people in black robes started marching south. ...That sounds pretty disturbing. Especially considering what my dad told me. ..? Remember how I mentioned his message? Those things from Bluetooth have started showing up in those underground catacombs beneath the Academy. Oh yeah, I remember now. * Vytor frowns, "This is all sounding increasingly ominous." You're telling me. I'm...not sure what we can do about it, either. And this is on top of the mess with the Prophetess... * Vytor slumps at the mention of the Prophetess. "Yeah, we're batting a thousand at this point on that one." * Niri nods. "I'm...not exactly doing a great job of cheering you up, am I?" * Vytor shakes his head, "Its just been one too many hard knocks at once. I'll be all right eventually." All right. It's just that you're usually some completely solid and unflappable, it bothers me seeing you upset. Not that you don't have reason to be. But uh...just let me know if there's anything I can do, okay? I will, promise. Right now I just have to come to grips with some things. How about you? How are you holding up? Me? Oh...I'm okay. Still a little angry, but...feeling pretty ashamed now too. And upset about the mess with the Prophetess, and Angie, and Ryllan. Other than that, I'm great, though. Ashamed? About my outburst. Ah that. Tensions were running pretty high at that point. Just a bit. I um...pretty soon here I'm going to have to go apologize to Tanan. Maybe. I think we all need a chance to talk things out. We've been through a lot. Maybe so. Probably give everyone a little more time to decompress, then see if we can track everyone down... * Vytor nods We'll pull through. You'll see. If nothing else, Saki will lock us all in a closet until we promise to play nice again. * Niri snrks. "Don't I know it. She already put me through the wringer." She only does it because she cares. Remember that. Yeah, I know. She taught me some useful stuff for fighting. * Niri looks thoughtful. "I wonder if there's any way to combine some of what she taught me with her moves...maybe yours too. Huh." * Vytor tilts his head to one side, "What do you mean?" * Niri waves a hand, searching for the words. "Um. Like...maybe we could combine our attacks to get the enemy off balance so we can hit it when it's weakest? Hmm...well I don't see how training together can hurt. I'd be OK with that. Besides, I could always stand to learn to fight better. * Niri grins. "I dunno, you fight pretty well as is." You know what I mean. I can always improve. Okay, sounds good. " * Niri stretches and stands. "I'd better go. I need to talk to Tanan before I lose my nerve, and I can't keep him sitting in an empty room forever. Unless he decided to um, take a walk or something, I guess." No worries. Thanks for checking up on me. I appreciate it. * Niri nods. "All right. Just poke me anytime if you need to talk more." * Niri strolls out of the room, limping ever so slightly. Seems Saki landed a punch on her thigh. Sure thing. * Vytor watches Niri go, subconciously gripping his previously damaged arm. -=HOLY CRAP! ENDS!=- Session Close: Fri Nov 16 18:25:35 2007
