Session Start: Sat Jul 28 21:19:55 2007 Session Ident: #lunar-iog2 * Logging for #lunar-iog2 started * TheStoryteller changes topic to '-= Chapter 46: Carribian Cruise | Location: Takkar | Pool: 0 MXP =- http://storen.rpgcafe.net/IoG/ =-' == SESSION START == Thanks to Niri's White Dragon Wings, the group zaps over to Takkar in a flash, along with their prized vehicles! How convenient. A few merchants in the town square almost fall over in shock, and the Destiny knocks over someone's cart filled with groceries and bullets. o_O Sorry! * Saki pitches, staggering across the cargo bay of the Destiny as they 'land'. Oof! Urk! Geez, careful on the landing! * Mikel smacks his forehead. "Brilliant." Everything seems vaguely normal with the frontier river town, though, despite Leon's unfortunate coma. There is an icnerased presence of local Marshals to deter random theivery in the markets and the riverboat traffic plods along like nothing ever happened. In the distance is the gunsmith and steelworks of Blacklace industries. * Vytor extracts himself from a series of boxes that fell on him. * Saki very nearly staggers her way over the edge of the Destiny, but recovers herself just about in time, due in part to a strong grip on one of the rails. "..." The southern main street eventually leads to the ferry docks, your eventual destination to catch the next ship to Carribia's ilands location. << er island >> Hey, anyone need one last supply run before we leave the mainland? Last chance. * Mikel lowers his hand, peering over it into the Destiny. "Maybe you should aim that towards the outskirts next time." I'm still getting used to it. ^^; [Shopper] Uh, where the devil did y'all come from?? From the Hylan Academy! *smiles* Our mothers. * Saki blinks for a brief moment, and points up at the sky. * Vytor checks to see if anything was broken during the trip. * Mikel groans. "Bad, Trune." Everything is in order, albiet a little jostled around the bay of the Land Cruiser. Angie gives a thumbs up as the Engine is similarly unharmed. * Trune chuckles, "Sorry." * Trune doesn't sound all that sorry, though. * Saki sinks back into her usual spot - a furrow between rows of boxes with a cushion and blanket hidden inside. Apparently she's quite safe from the wind there. [Marshal] Hmm, is that Nirika Salyan? This is a surprise. What brings you folk back here? Oh, we're busy saving the world. Needed to make a quick stopover on our way off to dangers unknown, though. [Marshal] Savin' the world? I'll just stick to this street corner, ma'am. You do that, sir! *Niri salutes respectfully!* * Ryllan shakes his head, "Sorry about this, Marshal. We'll be out of your way shortly. Just ehading down to the docks, actually." We're good on supplies I think. Nothing seems to have been damaged. Marshal salutes and idly fingers his two pistols in a belt, gold star shimmering. "Hmm, you wouldn't be needing the ferry to Carribia, would you?" * Mikel leans back in his own seat, propping his feet up on the dashboard in the meanwhile. "Yeah, actually. Why do you ask?" [Marshal] We've got a little... situation.. regarding the vessel that plies that route. It just came in this mornin' to the district office. Lovely. Situation? [Marshal] Not enough manpower at the moment, what with One Eyed Billy's gang makin' trouble again on the nroth sector. Turns out the captain's got some sorta infestation on his riverboat. [Marshal] It's shut down until he can get those vermints off it. << varmints >> Infestation of what? I've got a funny feeling it's not cockroaches or rats. Maybe really big rats or bugs. Nah...the guy is a captain. If he's scared of bugs or rats, he's the sissiest captian I've ever heard of. [Marshal] mmm.. best i recall, it was some kind of shellfish critters. The guy's boat is infested with shrimp? * Trune bursts out laughing, "Oh man, shellfish? Are you kidding me? I hope they're mutant shellfish." [Marshal] Probably picked up the little monsters unwittingly going through the Gulf, and they started nesting when he drydocked it for storm repairs a few days ago. * Saki frowns across at the Marshal for a second, then breathes out a sigh, extricating herself from her hidey-hole to hop off the bay of Destiny and onto beloved land. I suppose we'll have to deal with it if no one else can. * Niri eyes Saki, then surreptitiously edges toward her. [Marshal] If'n you're in a hurry to save the world. Hm. Maybe we can have a seafood barbeque afterwards. * Etirfk is now known as Tanan Hmm...if the shellfish end up on my plate at the end of the day, I'll play extermintor. * Vytor shrugs, and exits the Destiny [Marshal] The ferry can move a lot more than people, too. Land cruisers should be no problem. Probably take y'all for free for your assistance. * Saki has all but wandered off around the corner; drifting in thought, she's just meandering, Niri apparently in tow. For free? Sold! Works for me. * Niri appears to be trying to strike up a conversation with Saki as they round the corner. Well, let's go and see what we're getting involved with. * Mikel turns off his own vehicle, pocketing the key as he springs out. "Nothing like a little fishing to brighten the day." And so a little while later, after some last minute shopping by Saki and Niri, the group drives the Destiny down to the docks to see about working for that free ride... So...we're doing a little extermination work in exchange for our fare? That's the theory. At one of the piers rests a white riverboat, powered by steam and a rear paddle wheel. Not far away from the plank is a bearded, middle-aged man dressed in a blue button up coat and a white captains hat, folding his arm and looking really ticked off. * Saki returns from her little sidetrip with Niri looking - while not a world better, at least like she's lost the hunted, scared look she carried with her on the Destiny trip. Practically sitting on top of the cabin as the thing trundles slowly through town, she keeps silent regarding the job. * Mikel pulls on up beside the Destiny, keeping pace. "Seems to be the idea, at least." [Captain] Where the hell are those marshals.. I can't sail with these damn snails on my ship! * Trune 's face falls, "...Snails?" At least they won't be hard to chase down. ...snails. Big snails, I hope. But snails aren't as appetizing! * Trune grumbles and goes quiet. * Saki , ever one for the sensible approach, lets herself all but slide off the front of the Destiny as it brakes to a halt, skidding down the windshield and bonnet nimbly and off onto her feet. Let's get this over with then. the captain taps his foot, trying to think of an idea. Then he spies the group dismounting the Destiny and smiles big. "Hey, you there!" * Saki rotates one arm in it's socket, nodding to Vytor and starting forward at an easy pace. "Mm," she answers in greeting. Yes? * Mikel hops out, waving towards the captain. "Mornin'." [Captain] You look like a tough, enterprising group of youngsters. How about you help an old seadog out here? * Saki folds her arms, impassive. "... that depends if you'll help a bunch of kids in return." Let me guess, ravenous snails of doom have commandered your ship, and are only waiting long enough to remove all the salt from the kitchen before making their slow but inexorable getaway? * Mikel raises his hand up to his face to restrain laughter at Vytor's comment. [Captain] I have no damn idea what they want in there, big guy. But simple salt won't stop these giant monsters. [Captain] Hey, I'm a fair man. How about free fare to anywhere in the Carribian? Come on -- it's like a vacation. * Saki shrugs lopsidedly. "Less than you'd think," she answers the Captain, before starting up the ramp. * Vytor hefts his hammer and follows Saki aboard, "Works for me." * Mikel shoulders his staff to follow the two man wrecking crew. "Sure." * Ryllan shrugs, "That'll do. Come on folks, let's go earn our princely pay." * Niri grins and nods. * Tanan mutters "Wonder what he'd do if he'd asked people who weren't capable and the dratted things ate them." Give then a refund? <> That....could be hard. Hard to give a refund if the customer's snailfood. The Captain grins, and gets out his pipe. "Go whup those scallywags, boys and girls. Chop 'em up real nice for dinner later for the boys." The party members who board the plank to the deck find it smelling a little strange. There are trails of slime all over the place, too, making it a bit slippery going. * Vytor wobbles a bit here and there, forced to find purchase from time to time. * Saki halts at the top of the gangplank, frowning at the deck for a second then carefully picking her way across the better looking areas of ground. She calls back for a moment: "We'll show you what we can do," then she's headed for whatever looks most like the passage belowdecks. Ewww. Careful everyone, watch your step. * Mikel spares one of the trails a raised eyebrow. "Hope it gets cleaned before we go anywhere." Saki does not have to go belowdecks, for out of the doorway gurgles and slithers out 3 gigantic tan-colored snails. o_O They are nearly as big as a person. Oh. That was fast. Whoa! What have THESE things been eating? Their vegetables. Yep. Ravenous snails-o-doom. From the bow of the riverboat appears a group of 3 as well, leaving a trail of glistening goo. * Saki eyes them at length, blinking slowly before glancing over her shoulder to gaze at the other set. The boarding party is finding themselves the victims of a pincer attack from the mutants! :o >> COMBAT! * Vytor grimaces Ambushed by snails. We are never going to live this down. ...I'm willing to not mention it ever again if you're not. << you are, even >> >> Stern Group: Escargogo A-C! >> Bow Group: Escargogo D-F! >> Declaration Phase. * Niri draws her sword, grinning. "Ready, Tanan?" * Vytor hefts his hammer and gets ready Hrmph. Mindless beasts. This is hardly worth our time. * Mikel whirls about to face the bow group, lightning already flowing along his form. "Well, let's try this then..." He lifts his staff into the air, smirking. No, but the trip to Carribia is. As such. * Saki has her feet spaced apart and her head down, muttering lowly to herself under her breath. * Niri concentrates on Misogi, pouring power into it for a thunder spell. >> Escargogo A & B move to strike Vytor and Niri! Escargogo C slimes its way across the front's row path! >> Escargogo D & E move to strike trune and Angie! Escargogo F starts spinning in Mikel's direction! * Ryllan raises his hands to the sky, "I see what you're doing, Mikel. Here goes nothing!" Ha! Bring it on, you slimy...um...gastropods. * Trune makes a pained noise at Niri's attempt at a joke. >> Battle Phase. * Niri makes a face at Trune before returning her attention to the oncoming monsters. >> Mikel's reflexes magically enhance themselves in reaction to danger.. Jolt! React up 25%! >> Saki's action. * Saki raises her head, glaring at the snails with a baleful eye. A recently familiar aura of blackness flickers around her, but her eyes are, this once, clear. "... no. Let's learn a little control, you and I," she growls to - someone, her fist clenching and unclenching; she blazes off on the attack. >> Saki enters Dark Stance, stats raised, but she is DAZED! >> Mikel's action. >> Ryllan acts as well! * Mikel whirls his staff about above his head as the skies darken up above, lightning crackling along both the mage and the clouds. "Come on then, let's see how you handle this!" A swipe with the staff and suddenly lightning bolts begin to rain down upon the entire bow group of snails! * Ryllan lets power loose into the spell, channeling more destructive energy into the spell! >> Mikel calls down the Wrath of the Skies, bolstered by Ryllan! Escargogos are weak to Thunder! 591 to D, 501 to E, 490 to F! Escargogo D is lunchmeat KO'd! * Niri cheers. 'Hey, nice one, Mikel!" Wow o_O And you too, Ryllan! >> Vytor's action. * Vytor spins his hammer over his head before whipping it around the snail's chin! The snail flips and over, and Vytor leaps after it, swinging his hammer again to send it bouncing onto the ground! Vytor follows up again and leaps onto the snail, bringing his hammer down once more to pound it into the ground like a tent peg! * Mikel smirks at the snails' plight, bringing his staff up in a guard. "Hit 'em with lightning!" Already on it, Mikel! >> Vytor's Heavy Press tries to peirce the thick shell... 208 damage! >> The snails go on the offensive! Faster than you'd expect for snails, anyway * Vytor gets ready to intercept the impending counter-attack * Saki all but drifts lazily through the battle, sliding on the slick surface; heedless of the attacks coming her way, her fists bunch ready to strike. >> Escargogo C leaves a trail of slime in the front row's way, getting them all sticky and the floor especially slick! Dex down 25%! Actions that miss will be redirected! Gak! * Niri makes a face and coughs. >> Escargogo A spins it's spiney shell into Vytor! 85 damage Oof! >> Escargogo B similarly strikes Niri, dealing 77! Ow! Cut it out, slimeball. :/ >> Escargogo E attacks Angie, sliming up her nice coat for 125 and 99! >> Escargogo F retreats into its shell, spinning like a gigantic spikey dodge ball into Mikel! Hey hey hey watch it! >> 236 damage! Mikel is POIS for 2 rounds! Whoa, Mikel! You okay? >> Trune defends! >> Niri's action. * Niri focuses on Misogi in her hands, channeling her magic through it. "Lightning, tear the heavens and come to our aid! Thunderbolt!" * Mikel lets out a shout of pain as he gets laid into, going spinning into the deck. "Sonnuva!" >> Escargogo A is destroyed by Niri's Thunder spell, dealing 390! * Vytor gives Niri a thumbs-up >> Two remain on the stern side and bow side both. Ha! Gotcha! >> Angie scans Escargogo E! << Don't forget poor Tanan >> >> The reticle returns the following data: 79/580 HP, 166/166 MP, Weak Thunder, Resist Fire, Immune Water >> Round 2 >> Mikel suffers 30 damage from POISON! 1 round remains << Storen! >> «ooc: Don't forget Tanan! » >> Tanan, not to be forghotten as a valuable peice of equipment and potent member, may act! Well done, Niri. And now... * Tanan begins to glow faintly, wisps of light energy evaporating off of Niri in a reversed image of Saki. The sky overhead brightens quickly, as beams of light rain down on the various snails. * Niri blinks a little at the oddness of this, but watches to see how effective the attack is... * Saki doesn't so much dive out the way of the wisps as subtly alter her weaving patterns to get further away from them, but it's clear and obvious. >> Photon Saturation! B suffers 182! C suffers 205! E suffers 191, F suffers 211! Escargogo E & F are pounded into snail pudding! :o >> Now next round. All right, got a couple of them! >> Declaration Phase. * Vytor gets ready to attack again * Niri readies Misogi, preparing a regular attack to finish off what's left. >> The bow group has been anhillated, and the rear row no longer under threat. * Saki cuts a slicing path through the melee around the front row: her hands suddenly bent into claws, she's bunched and ready to attack. >> Escargogo B begins spinning, aiming for Saki! Escargogo C retreats into its shell in an attempt to defend itself. * Trune draws a quick pattern in the air with his athames. A soft, white light flows freely from the pattern traced in the air, "Mikel! I've got your covered, do it again!" * Mikel slowly hauls himself up from a heap on the deck, turning to face the remaining snails and lets out a snarl. "Oh, you're definitetly toast now..." He wipes away some blood from his face before lifting the staff once more. "Got it!" Once again, Mikel? Alright. >> Battle Phase. >> Tanan focuses! Niri regains 60 HP and 21 MP! << er 22 MP >> >> Escargogo C defends! However, it's augmented Shell negates just about anything to come its way. Block Strike / Block Spell enabled! * Niri straightens with a smile, feeling renewed. >> Saki's action. * Saki wavers in her path; the black aura around her flares, sending her senses haywire. In a fit of instinct, she uses the slipperiness of the deck to suddenly arc her foot around in a vicious roundhouse at the shape ahead, using the momentum to kick up into the air and crash back down onto the thing with a leaping punch. >> Saki can barely keep her eyes on the snail and instead her foot aims for Niri! Thanks to Lure's essence, though, the heroine just barely manages to dodge it...! >> However, the slippery deck causes her to slip and fall, tripping Vytor for 92 damage! * Vytor gets blind-sided by unexpected Saki-pounding, and lies on the ground with a boot-print on his face, "Was it something I said?" @_@ ... ...Saki! Keep it together! * Saki comes to a rest just past Vytor: her senses waver again, but she manages to come to and blink downwards to make an aggreived noise. "... sorry," she mutters, then with a shake of her head is on the move again * Niri squeaks and jumps back. "Gah! Saki!" Saki! What the hell? >> Mikel's action. >> Ryllan lends his might once more! * Vytor shakes away the stars and gets back to his feet. * Mikel grits his teeth, whipping the staff about for another fusilade of lightning from the skies. "Begone!" * Ryllan lends his strength to the spell once again, pouring his outrage at Saki's blind rage into the fury of the skies! >> Mikel's Wrath of the Skies pummels the first snail for 522! defeated! However Escargogo C avoids the effect... cancelled! Block Spell fades. >> Vytor's action. * Vytor winds up and slams his hammer into the center spiral of the snail's shell! * Mikel drives his staff into the deck to hold him aloft, staring at the remaining snail. "Dammit!" >> Vytor's hammer connect with the shell, succeeding in removing it's toughness, but not the soft creature within. Cancelled! Block strike falters. * Vytor oogles in place, vibrating slightly as his hammer strike is stopped dead in its tracks. O_o >> trune's action. Mark of morning, the defiant dawn, rise from the horizon and grant us your strength! Kiss of Dawn! * Trune opens his clasped hands and a wash of sunrise pours out to envelop Mikel! >> Trune's Kiss of Dawn removes POISON effect as well as restores Mikel of 310 HP. >> Niri's action. * Mikel straightens, nodding towards Trune. "Thanks!" * Niri strikes out at the nearest snail with Misogi, hoping to finish it off! Don't sweat it! Just keep it coming! >> Niri's medocre swordskills plus the sticky goo on her arm don't help any as she fails to hit the tricksy escargogo... Misogi flies out of her hand and nicks Trune for 89 damage! << actually only 45, since he's a nice guy. >> * Niri curses under her breath! "Augh! Sorry Trune, I'm still getting the hang of this. ;_; Are you okay?" * Trune naghs, clutching his arm where he got nicked, "I'll survive. Try two handed!" * Niri nods, looking embarrassed. ^^; ...Ow wow. Um. Oops. <> This is going well o_O; Man, forget Zophar. These snails are a pain. >> Angie taks a potshot for 56 and 59 damage! >> Round 3 << takes >> >> Declaration Phase. >> Escargogo C remains defending! * Saki tries to centre herself for one desperate moment, snarling at her «ooc: ... » << ... >> * Saki tries to centre herself for one desperate moment, snarling at either herself or the shifting shadows around her. * Vytor takes a defensive pose. * Niri gives up on the sword and leaves it lying on the ground for the moment, instead gathering sparking electricity in her hands. * Mikel closes his eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. >> Battle Phase. >> Tanan focuses again.. 60 Hp/22 MP! >> Trune (38/20), Mikel(30/19) and Ryllan(47/20) all focus as well. >> Vytor prepares to intercept Saki just incase.. >> Saki's action. * Saki barrels into what she hopes through her haze is the last of the snails, skidding to a halt with a thrusting punch at point blank range then kicking away. >> Thankfully for her friends, Saki's rage finds the right target... even with its defense posture, the blows hurt! 82! 77! * Vytor relaxes from his defensive posture. >> Niri's action. * Saki slices backwards towards the party, grinning unpleasantly in some form of satisfaction. "... getting there," she mutters. Take him out, Princess! This is the end of you, slimy! Thunderbolt! * Niri lets loose the sparks in her hands toward her enemy! >> Niri's enpowered wisdom from her teacher Tanan blows away the final enemy in a blast of sparks from above.. Weak to Thunder! 404 damage! >> The stern group falls to the heroes! >> VICTORY! Nice one, Niri! Nicely done * Trune phews, "Okay, that makes up for the epic papercut." * Saki straightens up, wobbling a little; then, with a wave of a hand and a mutter of '... that's enough,' the blackness wraps off of her and winds around her wrist before wisping away. >> The group gains 600 silver ea, plus 9 MXP. * Vytor works a crick out of his neck from where Saki worked him over. So... is that all of them ? The bodies of the snails lie smoldering and cut to ribbons on the deck ins erious need of swabbing. >.> [Captain] Blimey, that was fast! * TheStoryteller changes topic to '-= Chapter 46: Carribian Cruise | Location: Takkar | Pool: 9 MXP =- http://storen.rpgcafe.net/IoG/ =-' * Niri looks very embarrassed still and gives Trune an apologetic look. * Mikel pats Niri on the shoulder before looking over at the captain. "Only six of 'em?" * Trune gives Niri a grin and shakes his head, "Seriously, don't sweat it. Just use two hands." * Saki scrunches up her nose in distaste, stepping carefully up to one of the carcasses. A sweeping kick sends it into the air: with a yell, her fist impacts into it in midair, sending the thing careening over the side. Environmental dumping? Eheh. Okay. ^^; See, this is why I always used a boomerang before! We will.. have to practice, Niri. The master of the vessel walks onto it and congratulates you, taking a puff from his corn cob pipe. "We managed to get rid of a few ourselves, that was the last of the bilge rats." Um. Yes. Training is a good idea. [Captain] The 'Gulf Queen" thanks you kindly. Now we can reopen our ferry business! I'm not sure I'm comfortable with this fairy business, but I guess we all know what they say about sailors... * Vytor holsters his hammer, looking satisfied <> << lol >> Huh. Awesome, then. * Saki doesn't bother to answer the captain yet: she spends the time and her strength dumping dead slugs into the sea. And getting covered in slime for her troubles, her expression clearly adds. The captain takes out a boson's whistle and emits a shrill note into the air. "Look alive, boys! Get this lady swabbed up real nice! Double shore leave when we get to Carribia!" * Trune grahs as one of Saki's kicks sends a splatterful of slime on his face and hair. >_< Son of a bitch! ...need a bit of water, Trune? Let's see about getting the Destiny aboard Depends, will you dump a bucketful of cold water on me? Otherwise...uh... A group of sailors runs onto the ship and grabs the mop buckets and starts cleaning up. Another bunch lowers the main gangplank, which can accomidate cargo and vehicles. * Saki smirks unpleasantly, moving onto the next. "It builds character," she adds. * Trune uses the slime to make his hair stand up on end, "I could have fun with this." More like a spray of water. * Mikel waggles a finger. * Vytor goes to get the Destiny aboard One of the snails twitches sadly as it's nice home is taken back by the humans. :( * Tanan speaks softly. "You should probably retrieve your sword." Misogi is currently stuck in the plankwood deck, blade down, where Trune was standing. * Niri colors, and goes to fetch the sword, sliding it smoothly back into its scabbard. Shiro, meanwhile, picks up one of the snail meat pieces in its mouth before Saki can get it. :o * Vytor slides into the Destiny's driver's seat, and slowly moves it into position to wait its turn to come aboard * Saki obligingly allows Shiro first dibs, then hefts the last of the corpses overboard. A glance at herself and she frowns, snagging a for the moment disused bucket of water and, without preamble, dumping a large portion of it over herself. * Mikel shakes his head before making his way down to start up the Stormrider again. "Could have been worse, I guess." * Saki shakes herself out in a manner not unlike Shiro, squeezes out her hair, and generally looks vaguely presentable again with a thankful sigh. * Trune continues to play with his hair, this time slicking it straight back. * Niri stares at Trune. "...You're weird!" Dump a bucket of water on him! What? Oh come on! I'm always getting shit put in my hair. For once, I'm actually not complaining about it! He's finally unhinged... I guess having things talking in your head will do that. I'll be extremely careful, Niri, I promise. * Saki considers that, at length. "... I think it's up to the fearless leader," she decides, and offers Niri the bucket. * Niri rolls her eyes. "Well, to be fair, people already think I'm nuts, Tanan! I don't know how much worse you can make it." * Trune glowers and goes to a bucket to wash out his hair, cheer gone. Oh come on Trune, don't be that way. Ah. This simplifies matter then. The captain supervises the crew's efforts to get the ship quickly back into sailing condition. It's almost ready to go. the wind looks favorable, though there's a storm brewing to the southeast coast, far away. So many these days. The Destiny rolls onboard with little fanfare, as well as Mikel's Stormrider. There's some other cargo boxes loaded up from commercial shipping, too. A few of them are labeled with the seal of the Meribian League Trade Association, a big blue-haired face of Ramus * Trune doesn't answer Niri, though he seems to be finished with washing out his hair. * Saki shakes herself out once more and glances over at the Captain. "... you need an extra pair of lifting arms?" * Mikel glances over towards the brewing storm once he gets his own vehicle where it should be and turns it off. "Hm. Is that gonna be any trouble? S'been a while since I've seen a good storm." * Vytor rejoins the group, confident that the Destiny and its contents are properly secured. [Captain] By the by, I'm Captain Bartholomew. Thankfully that storm's not going to come here. But they've been messing around with Carribia's voyages east for some time. Keeps gettin' worse... * Mikel makes a face. "Pity. Ah well, maybe when we head farther out then." [Captain] I've got to get underway soon, or else this cargo will never make it to the De Alkirk expedition in time. Put your backs into it lads! Light the boiler! I suggest we try to relax until we get to where we're going. Soon a thin trail of steam escapes the dual black pipes that jut into the air, and the rear wheel starts turning. The anchor will soon be raised. * Saki leans against the rail, looking off into the distance. With nothing else to do she's apparently set to idle. [Captain] It's not much, but we've got seats on deck with a lovely view of the Sea. And the mess hall if you're hungry. [Captain] Now if you'll excuse me, the Captain is needed on the bridge. * gruff smile* Seats on deck? Huh. Thanks. * Mikel offers a shrug as he leans against the railing. "In a bit, maybe. With no snails this isn't half bad." He throws the captain a lazy salute as he glances towards the ocean. * Vytor partakes of one of the deckchairs, and proceeds to read Niri's Silver Star Chronicles. Bartholomew says his farewells and ascends to the top half-deck and the windowed cabin that houses the wheel and his instrumentation. You know, the sea air is.. interesting. And soon, you're off and in motion! The docks of Takkar and the river pull away as the steamship chugs along, paddle making a repetitive little splash and wake at the rear... It's no speedy ancient destroyer, but it definitely has its charm as a light cargo and open-air touring ship. * Saki flops down with her back to the railing, leaning up in a sitting position against the side to hawkishly regard Tanan. "... how's it feel like that?" * Trune heads on deck, pulling out a large book from his backpack and sitting on one of the benches. He begins to read. * TheStoryteller changes topic to '-= Chapter 46: Carribian Cruise | Location: Carribian Sea | Pool: 9 MXP =- http://storen.rpgcafe.net/IoG/ =-' * Niri flops down into a deck chair and gazes out across the sea. * Vytor looks over at Trune and nods. It's.. difficult to explain. You don't have the proper senses. There's much more water than earth, and it extends into the air. It's much more.. wild, I guess, than lakes and rivers. Even the air acts differently * Trune nods back with a slight smile, and continues to read. * Saki frowns at length, apparently not getting it. "... you can see the... moisture?" * Niri listens with interest, trying to see things the way Tanan does. No. The.. energy. You never studied at the academy, so of course you wouldn't know. They teach that everything is made up of.. or maybe just contains, energies of the 8 elements. This is.. roughly true. I suspect Ryllan could explain it even better than me. He sees where they're active. I just sort of.. see them. It's not very useful, usually. But when you can push in just the right place... well, it's like moving a big rock. If If you have a lever and you place it right, it's much easier than just shoving it. ntering into the gulf proper, there are the visions of many tiny islands, surrounding a large thin one to the south. It appears to be your destination. There's also several other vessels plying their trade back and forth, of varying sizes and makes... as varied as the people who inhabit the world. Most of them are powered by Lovelace engines, though, in some form or anther, though a few also are rigged as sloops or schooners. * Saki blinks at length. There's signs she's taking it in: just as many signs that read 'fish out of water'. Curiosity wins out: "... so what're each of us made out of?" * Huw is now known as Huwnap Stuff. All of them. Everyone is. Sometimes what you use affects that... or maybe it affects what you use. Mikel over there has a little more water and lightning.. but not really enough to take on any strange characteristics. People're a lot brighter than their surroundings, which makes them harder to see. if that makes any sense * Niri frowns, looking a little confused at that. Well. Not harder to see. But harder to make out details. It's like looking at a light? * Saki has a hand to her forehead now. "... I'll stick to the couple of worlds I see as I am now, thanks." * Mikel lets out a yawn, watching the ocean go by. Ah. That makes a bit more sense, yes... Don't worry about it. There's entire advanced level classes on the theory at the academy, and even they're not all certain. It's not terribly useful if you're not experimenting anyway. And like I said, you didn't attend. You... spent your time... learning how to fight... * Niri eyes Mikel as if trying to see him as an indistinct light! * Mikel glances over, blinking as he sees Niri staring at him. "Erm, what?" * Niri 's eyes widen slightly, and she looks thoughtful. Um...nothing! * Saki notes Tanan's trailing off, and frowns over. "Mm?" * Mikel blinks a couple of times before pushing off the railing. "Uh...huh. Oh, Tanan! How much do you know about projection magic?" It... huh. That's... strange. Oh, sorry. Saki, do you think... oh. Mikel? * Niri frowns, wondering at Tanan's disjointed speech. * Tanan sounds almost like he's trying to say three things at once and is failing at all of them. Session Time: Sun Jul 29 00:00:00 2007 * Mikel frowns as well, though he doesn't look at Tanan due to his location. "...Your positioning makes conversation awkward. Anyways. Projection magic. You know, trying to make duplicates and the like?" * Saki blinks, nonplussed as Tanan is cut off. * Tanan sounds cautious. "The theory, yes. I can... do something like that. But it's rather insubstantial. Why?" * Vytor shifts back and forth between various entries of the book, taking notes as he goes. * Niri looks suddenly thoughtful. * Mikel frowns for a moment before shrugging. "S'just an idea I've been toying with recently. You have any idea of what's been done with it by people who have studied it before?" Say Trune? You know anything about Black Dragon Diamonds? Huh? Ugh, yeah. Mostly in an unpleasant way, though. * Saki glances the other way, attention dragged between the conversations with ease. How so? People use them to make.. duplicates of things, or themselves. For dangerous but short jobs, that sort of deal. Well, when I was in New Meribia's jail, I was put in a special cell with one of those suckers embedded in the floor. It sucks up any magical energy you throw at it, and it sucks energy from you, too. I felt like I was in a fog for weeks. You can't think straight when one those are around. I'm not sure how it effects people who aren't attuned to magic, though. * Mikel hrms, tapping a foot. "Are you able to make them elementally charged while creating them?" Where do they come from? I've never heard about them until recently. I'd... assume so? * Ryllan wanders over to Mikel and Tanan's conversation, "I've never heard of it being done... But there's no /reason/ why you shouldn't be able to, I don't think. I'm not entirely sure why you would, though." * Mikel hrms, picking out a new spot of railing close by to lean again. "Interesting... something I've been working on for a bit. I think I'm close to managing it, though." I'm not quite sure on the orgins, but apparently you can't find them anymore. * Niri 's head starts to hurt as she tries to follow all the conversations at once. And...to be honest I hope I never run arcross another one again. Hrm. You know... You might want to talk to Webbly about this Well, maybe the origins are listed in this book...somewhere. Oh? The elementalors basically are controlling elemental projections of themselves. When Trune summons them. * Mikel thinks for a moment. "Hrm.. maybe. The result I'm aiming for is... similar to that, at least." What book is that? Isn't that...? Yep. The Silver Star Chronicle. Niri's letting me borrow it for a little while. *nods* If you need any more help, let me know. I've become a master at information hunting. I might. This book is huge. Mm. Be careful. It's draining stuff. Just say the word. Thanks for the offer. I may just take you up on that. * Mikel nods. "Not surprised. I've gotten pretty good while running around with you guys though, so I'm a lot closer than I used to be." * Trune gives Vytor a nod and returns to reading his book. He occasionally turns his head slightly to the conversation behind him. Apparently he's been listening after all. * Tanan sounds amused. "Yes, you've gotten rather good. When all this is over, if you'd rather work the academy instead of spying for Sonyele, we could certainly put in a good word for you." * Niri smiles at Mikel ruefully. "You're a good sight better than me, that's for sure. We should do some praticing sometime, maybe." * Mikel lets out a sigh. "How many times do I have to go over this, huh? Anyways, I already said I'd head back to work for her again. Something in Bluetooth needs to get checked out again anyways." He glances over at Niri, smirking. "Sure. Though you're better at not getting clobbered than I am." * Niri laughs. "No, I'm just good at getting my FRIENDS clobbered instead." I wouldn't worry too much. Even Saki got slipped up by that stuff. * Saki has either an air of professional pride or a sulk on. Speaking of practicing, though... Hmm? As the group speaks, you notice a feminine figure in a hooded cloak at the other end of the deck looking out at the Carribian island approaching. Was this woman there before, perhaps one of the passenger who boarded with the cargo? ..no, nevermind. We'd need to find someone willing to help. I'm not strong enough to project anything to spar with yet. Spar? Maybe you should ask Saki. Oh, okay. *Niri looks crestfallen; the idea of sparring with Tanan sounds fun.* * Trune gives a curious glance at the hooded figure, "I don't remember seeing her board." * Niri follows Trune's gaze curiously * Vytor bites down on his pencil, as the cross-referencing he's having to do it getting out of hand. "Eh? Who?" * Mikel peers over Niri's shoulder for a moment at the cloaked person, blinking. "...Huh. I thought we were the only ones on board, too." He gives it another moment before pushing off and starting to make his way over, curious. That woman in the hood. * Vytor glances over, "Huh. Probably just another passenger." I guess. The woman's dark cloak blows in the breeze, as a bit of long white hair peeks out and the glimps of a soft face. She doesn't seem to notice Mikel's approach at first, the storm far off to sea apparently holding her shadowed gaze. * Mikel raises an eyebrow for a moment before chuckling as he continues along, going up to the railing a bit away from the woman and looking over at what has her attention. "Mornin', miss. Watching the storm as well?" Interesting. Can you feel it, Niri? * Niri frowns thoughtfully. "Yes...what's going on there?" The passenger turns her face to regard Mikel, and blinks. It's still shaded a bit by the cloak, but he meets a pair of innocent, twinkling eyes. There's a great power behind them... but the voice to match is quite naive. "Oh... hello! I.. didn't know there was others onboard." * Saki gets to her feet in a smooth movement, watching the conversation out of the corner of her eye. She's clearly tensed up and ready, just in case. There's a few possibilities, I suppose. ...Calm down, Saki. * Trune watches Mikel and the woman curiously, slowly closing his book. * Saki shakes her head in a faint movement, not taking her eyes off the figure. Her tone is quiet, and directed away from the pair. "... no. I won't. ... something's not right." * Tanan sounds unconcerned, as though he'd be shrugging if he could. "If you want." * Mikel snickers. "We didn't think anyone else was on board either." He glances over at the woman, blinking a few times in surprise before he continues, raising a hand as it for a handshake. "Sorry about surprising you and all. Name's Mikel." What do you sense, Saki? * Niri speaks quietly [Cloaked Woman] Mikel... that's a nice name. I'm.. uh... *pauses* Sandra. * Vytor seems completely unconcerned about the new person, juggling a book in one hand, his notebook in the other and a pencil in his mouth. She smiles shyly to Mikel, then gives him a quick handshake. * Saki rubs at her chin, apparently somewhat conflicted. "... mn. Prophetess. ... but also Johnathan." She makes a face. "... both types of energy." * Mikel raises an eyebrow for the barest of moments, nodding as he glances back towards the storm. The others might notice once his hand releases her's that he works it around a bit, making a fist for the barest of moments before relaxing. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Sandra. So, what brings you to the Carribia?" The newcomer pauses at his reaction then continues in that young voice. "I'm... um... going on a vacation. Yes, it's beautiful this time of year there." * Niri nods to Saki, frowning and on her guard. She touches Misogi's hilt briefly before letting her hand rest at her side, eyeing the woman warily. From what Mikel can tell, the woman under the cloak is about his same age. * Tanan sighs. "Both of you? Oh well." * Saki sighs out audibly, and leans far enough back against the rail she could possibly tip over the edge. "... mn. I suppose. It's been a long day." So much for a nice relaxing ride, I guess. [Cloaked Woman] And they have the best ice cream at this one place... * Trune contiunes to watch the woman and Mikel. He puts his book in his backpack, but doesn't seem to make any defensive movments, unlike the others. He looks thoughtful. * Saki just leans back, eyes closed, and makes a game attempt to relax. * Mikel blinks, looking away from the storm and towards the woman again. "Oh? Which place is that? I actually haven't been there before, so." Hmm. She must be rather skilled, though. I really do wonder who she is... [Sandra] Well.. I.. er.. heard about it from an old friend. It's been rated 5 stars in the Meribian Review. Called the Surf n' Turf Inn. [Sandra] Do you want to have a scoop with me when we reach shore, Mr. Mikel? * Trune chuckles, "(w) Think Mikel's found himself a date." * Niri grins and shakes her head at Trune. * Mikel thinks for a moment, though he can't help but grin a bit. "If I've got time, sure. I'm not sure how long before my friends and I have to get going... though there should at least be enough time for some ice cream." * Saki presses the ball of one hand to her forehead, holding back - barely - a low snigger. "... if Tanan starts sounding jealous, those are our early warning signs." Sandra smiles at the young adept and looks back out to sea. "Too bad the weather's so glum... you can't believe those weather forecasters at all." * Niri blinks at Saki, a bit confused. * Niri whispers to Tanan, "I wonder too...but she doesn't seem...wrong. Misogi sort of...likes her, I guess?" [Sandra] So.. um.. what business do you have in Carribia? She's keeping it under wraps very well, honestly. But it's a simple thing, I'm sure it can tell. * Mikel shrugs. "I don't mind storms all that much, so..." A moment's thought before he answers. "Ah, we're going to see if we can help the De Alkirk expedition some. See and explore what hasn't been explored, pushing the boundaries of what's known, and the like." [Sandra] Oh I knew -- I mean, that.. that sounds so exciting. Sandra looks uncomfortable a moment, then nervously laughs. "I just figured you for the adventurous type, Mr. Mikel." * Mikel scratches the back of his head. "Ehe, well, it's the best way to make a living as far as I'm concerned. Just Mikel's fine, Miss Sandra." [Sandra] It's really rough , living and surviving on your own out there. I know the feeling. Do you think you could introduce me to your friends, the Alkirks sometime? * Mikel raises an eyebrow, thinking. "Hrm, maybe... though we'll both be introducing ourselves to them pretty much." She spares a glance towards the others before grinning. "If you like, I could introduce you to the rest of my friends. We're all gonna try to go, so.." [Sandra] Oh, I'd really appreciate that, Mikel! It's nice to have interesting company... * Mikel nods. "Right this way then, Miss Sandra." He gestures towards the others before turning, leading the young woman back over to them. Sandra walks across the deck over to Mikel's group, waving to them and smiling a bit too widely. * Niri forces a pleasant smile to her face, though she is still rather unsure and wary. * Trune waves at the newcomer, his face neutral. [Sandra] Isn't ti a great day for a boat ride? I'm sorry i didn't introduce myself earlier. Please call me Sandra. << I >> Hello. My name's Vytor. Nice to meetcha. Hey. My name's Trune. Nice to meet you. * Mikel smiles, letting the group and Sandra introduce themselves, though he does shoot both Saki and Ryllan a quick look. Maybe he's just remembering his own reception, or? * Vytor waves to Sandra amiably. Ryllan. A pleasure. * Ryllan looks at Mikel strangely. * Saki tilts her head in just a little nod. "... Saki." [Sandra] So you're going to Carribia for a... vacation, too? * Tanan lights up just a little, briefly. Vacation? No, going to work. Sandra notices the armor's sheen, breaking her concentration briefly. * Mikel snickers. "Not much chance for a vacation lately. In time, hopefully." * Saki doesn't say anything more, leaning dangerously far back. over the edge to stare idly at the water going past below. [Sandra] SO, you're all explorers then? have you heard about the island offshore and the bad weather? Hmm....actually, I think we have. *Nods* I'm Niri. I'm more of a handyman than an explorer, honestly. * Mikel raises an eyebrow. "A bit, at least. Is there more rumors about it flying around?" [Sandra] It's really ruined the Carribia feel lately... it started happening all of a sudden. *sigh* Oh well. I'm still going to have some fun regardless. How suddenly? [Sandra] Like... only a week ago. Hm. Maybe its the season for it. * Saki glances to the side, a frown on her face. * Mikel frowns. "Well... that's no good. How's the island figure in, though?" Sandra seems a bit distracted, one eye holding a gaze at the armor Tanan. One could almost think she's having a silent conversation with him. [Sandra] It's a breeding ground for these strangely violent storms, it sounds like. Makes you wonder... You mean there all originate from one place? Sounds crazy. * Mikel glances at Sandra, then back towards Niri and Tanan. "Hm. Maybe something that should be looked into at some point." I thought storms originated over the ocean? * Niri nods. "I think it should, yes." * Saki frowns and looks a little lost, glancing to the others with a sigh. "Haaah. If it's strange and recent, it's probably inevitable we'll check it out." [Sandra] I'm a little curious too...! Probably. But focus, folks. One thing at a time, remember? [Sandra] Oh.. well.. you do have your big mission. The De Alkirks are so cool. As long as they pay well for good work. * Mikel shrugs. "I'd be willing to bet we'll have to poke at it. It's how our luck goes." He grabs himself a seat, chuckling. "The payment's in the adventure, clearly!" Fine, I'll take Mikel's paycheck if wants to be paid only with adventure. ;) Sandra has a seat on the deck, relaxing a bit more. Her hood slides off completely to reveal a young girl with long ivory hair and a sparke of dark purple in her eyes. She seems vaguely familiar, but you can't quite place it. * Mikel eyes Vytor. "...touche, craftsman." * Vytor chuckles There's also a sealed book attached to her belt by a silver chain. * Niri starts, looking thougtful as she looks at Sandra. * Saki frowns again, slowly, and drags a hand back through her hair. "... saying 'one thing at a time' is all very well, but our 'one thing' is pretty open right now." [Sandra] I'm just going to enjoy the ride a bit more, if that's OK. It'll be over before you know it... * Mikel places his hands behind his head, relaxing in his seat. "S'fine... though I'm a bit curious, where are you from, Miss Sandra?" [Sandra] Oh... nowhere in particular. But I used to live in Vane long ago. * Trune doubletakes, "...What did you say?" * Mikel blinks, looking at Sandra. "...Vane?" * Saki stiffens for just a moment, then properly looks at Sandra for what must be the first time. Sandra blinks, realizing she wasn't suppsed to say that. "Oh.. um.. you know, before the Unraveling?" You must be a lot older than you look. * Mikel coughs a bit, shaking his head. "Huh...just been wandering since then, I take it?" Sandra sighs, looking directly at Niri's chest and obviously Tanan. "Urgh, don't say that Tanan! I am perfectly good at....!" Sandra then covers her mouth, blushing. * Tanan sighs. "...I told you. You suck at this." ...You can hear Tanan? Who ....what are you? * Saki puts a hand to her forehead and sighs out. [Sandra] ..silly smarty pants Johniie construct... you made me do that! * Mikel raises an eyebrow, grinning again. "So... you know Tanan, then? There's definitely more to you than meets the eye." Alright, explanations, please, before we have to throw Saki off the boat to keep her from damaging things. * Niri stares at Sandra and sends somewhat questioning thoughts toward Tanan. ..? Sandra stands up, looking insulted, crossing her arms. :/ Something the matter? [Sandra] Would it be better if I jus walked up and said "Hi I'm Emili the Star Dragon. Let's go smash some evil things?" Actually, yes! It would save time. Who the what now? Considering you're not comatose like the others, that's kind of uplifting! Also, what the hell!? * Mikel coughs again, sitting straight and looking at Sandra again. "Ah! That explains the power you've got, then." Actually, yes, it would. Secrecy and manipulation are frowned upon when dealing with allies. 'Emili' turns around and sighs. "I didn't want to attract suspsicion. That Prophetess could have spies everywhere..." << suspicion >> You haven't been keeping up with the news, I see. [Emili] Plus.. I really did want to have some ice cream and a vacation for a minute. ^^; * Saki just settles for looking mildly pained and generally tired. She waves a hand, glancing across. "... mm. Is that where she's rumored to be?" Also, Mikel, you have an ice cream social with a dragon. You have some serious luck. We would do well to continue to call her Sandra. Or perhaps not. Oh well. * Mikel grins. "The ice cream's still on, of course..." He shoots Trune an annoyed look for a moment before shaking his head. "That'll be fine... is it true she's around here, then? Headmaster Hylan chased after her when we last saw her and we've heard a rumor, so..." If... Pandora has survived, we don't want to give her away. Of course. But, Miss _Sandra_, you could have spoken privately and kept us from wondering just what was going on here. We're a might jumpy ourselves. We? You're jumpy. Just you, really. Although this is better than what you and Saki did to me at least. She had to be sure she could trust us. No knives or clobberings or anything. [Emili] I was going to tell you later, of course. * Saki nods slowly, addressing Tanan. "... mm. But... I would at least like to talk to her. It might help with my problems." [Emili] You're going to have to figure out the storm if you want to ail.. and I have to fix a litlle.. mistake in time. << want to sail >> * Mikel nods, stretching his arms out again. "...Mistake in time?" ..? Emili leans close and whispers. "Yes, remember the grave of the Prophets? Like that." Oh. * Niri seems rather stunned. ...Why do I have a bad feeling, now? [Emili] Fair chance Pandora's there, along with Johniie.. and some great source of Star force. What force? * Mikel frowns. "Is that on the island?" ...Really? On that island, you mean? Huh... [Emili] Want to help me find out?.. after the ice cream of course. :) * Saki breathes out a long, slow breath, then slides her eyes over to Niri. "... I've got to go, at least. ... we all should." Do you think it's wise to bring Em--Sandra to the place Pandora is going to be? Is this mistake so big that you have to risk your own life, er, soul, for it? * Mikel closes his eyes, grinning. "Can't say no to that. Maybe this time we can get her before she runs away, too. I think I'm looking forward to the ice cream more, though." He opens an eye, frowning. "That's the problem, yeah... If the Headmaster's there and not in the same state as the others it might be safer... and if Pandora's still split. But... risky. Very risky." Emili extends her hand and a ball of dark and light energy blossoms into a small rose. Trune has a fair point. Are the... repairs, if you will, that need doing, something that we could do with directions from you> ? [Emili] I'm not like the other Truth Seekers. Half of my power comes from the dark side... * Saki frowns. "... wonder if that plan's still running or not." * Mikel blinks at the rose. "Oh, wow... dark side? The power in you that's not star-aligned?" [Emili] I'm half demon, half dragonblood. Pretty cool, huh? * Niri frowns, not so sure she finds this cool. * Vytor listens dutifully, not understanding this 100% [Emili] I can resist her powers, so don't worry. With all that strange magic there I doubt she can do much, either. Maybe Johnathan knows that and has dragged her spirit there on purpose to destroy it. You're positive? There's been attempts to ward her and such before. She's not above getting servants to do what has to be done to get her shot. * Saki 's knuckles whiten from her grip on the barrier as she regards Emili. "... might need to talk to you. Soon," she requests quietly. ...Sandra, you're aware of why Tanan is... well, here, with Niri? Yeah...she's not someone to take lightly. [Emili] *puts her hood back on* I'm not sure exactly, but Tanan is armor for whoever is going to take out Zophar, hmm? Yup. That's the basic idea. Him and Pandora are the big issues lurking out there. * Ryllan nods, "Tanan is active because Zophar is back. He's shown the ability to... influence the minds of two people we know of so far. People we believe to have been his servants in his past lives." [Emili] I didn't realize he was coming back till the professor just told me. That's a whole other kettle. of fish to fry. -- mmm, and I'm a little hungry. ^^ Your heritage... it might expose you to that influence. * Niri stares at Emili, thinking she seems a little....ditzy. * Mikel chuckles. "We'll get there soon enough for ice cream." He glances at Ryllan. "What about the rest of her, though? Star magic doesn't exactly agree with them, right?" [Emili] I've done the whole losing soul to dark impulses thing long ago. It's over and done with. *says this a little sadly* [Emili] Now I'm the Star Dragon, Guardian of the path between worlds and the infinite knowledge... it's a tough job, though. * Tanan sounds as though he's having a hard time saying what he's saying. "It... might... be wise to help her deal with this. It could be... wise." Could be? Wish it was more definete. * Saki crosses her arms, head down, face hidden - thinking, for a long beat. "... it's not my choice. But I have one condition if we help you." If you're sure you can deal with whatever influence is present, I'll trust you. But, listen to your impulses carefully. Watch for warning signs. *nods* I don't think we have a choice. If there's a decent chance Hylan is there... And worse, if the Prophetess is there... * Mikel hrms. "Well, if you're absolutely sure you won't end up turning around and blasting us instead..." He glances at Trune, snickering. "That'd take the fun out of it though." It seems like a good idea to help her, to me. And as Ryllan says...well, we have to find out what happened with Johnathan and the Prophetess. [Emili] Let me guess, miss Saki.. you want help controlling your inner darkness? It's a side track. It's unrelated! It's.. argh. I'm sorry. Yes. You're right. No objections here. * Saki closes her eyes and sighs out - it's as clear a nod as any other gesture she could make. * Mikel closes his eyes. "Never leave a lady in need. Words to live by, that. Unless she's Pandora." [Emili] Alright. But I have a condition tooo.... it is... to cook me a heaven's steak! ...A what? What the hell is a Heaven's steak? * Mikel opens an eye. "...I guess a steak from heaven?" A what? Blessed steak, cooked to perfection, drizzled with glitter and sparkles and burning with inner purity ...and fat! * Mikel shrugs. "Would you settle for moon chocolate?" Emili frowns. "Aww, I thought maybe /you'd/ know what it is." * Saki blinks twice. Then, at length, she sighs out, looking a little weary and defeated. "... it's nothing I've heard of. You provide the recipe, and you've got a deal." [Emili] Moon chocolate will suffice though. :) Interestingly, I have a message from Johnathan should this situation ever arise: "I hate you so much." Tanan! ...he was smiling when he said it though. Emili then, very childishly, sticks her tongue out at Tanan. * Vytor (DNW@c-67-160-220-94.hsd1.ca.comcast.net) Quit (Quit: ) Hm. We'll have to ask Webbly if he can find a way to beam some moon chocolate down then. * Niri blinks at Tanan's words. [Emili] Well, he'd be happy to know I actually always wear clothes now. And don't steal.. all the time. Um...what was THAT for? * Niri stares at Emili. * Mikel brings a hand to his mouth and coughs into it, looking away. Somehow, Niri, I think this is one of those chapters of history they leave out of the books. For good reason. ...Yeah. I think you're right. You fought naked? What? * Trune blinks and looks confused as hell. ...you don't have to tell people that. And I think Mikel is disappoi- ...Ahem. So we can leave out our bad moments out of the history books too? I vote for snails to be struck fr- Tanan! ...man, I'd hit you but I'd hurt myself more than you. Emili giggles. No fair, turning into something immune to physical torment. Niri, I'm borrowing him for a ride around Carribia. * Niri mentally elbows Tanan. "Behave!" Or I'll let Mikel do what he threatens. ;) * Tanan sounds hurt. "...you wouldn't!" * Mikel smirks. "How much stress can you take, Prof? I'm sure my driving can bring you to the limit." Niri, don't let Mikel lose the Professor. It'd be rude, after all he's done for you. * Saki leans back against the barrier, letting the noise simply wash over her. Nah, he'd be tied rather securely. To the rear bumper. * Niri grins. Tanan can tell that she's teasing...mostly. He can make /spikes/. * Tanan seems to be talking to no one in particular at this point. "Dear diary. Today I am going to destroy an ATV." I'll put him in a cage then. * Niri just starts to giggle. Mikel. Just take someone along who'd appreciate it, okay? ;) You were going to take me out for a ride, for example. * Saki turns back around, and crosses her arms. "I can always requisition that thing." Or you could take your new girlfriend here. :D * Mikel nearly falls out of his chair, sputtering. * Niri looks innocent! Yeah, why not take Sandra. ;) Go for an ice cream, get on your sexy new hot wheels, ride off into the sunset. [Emili] Ohh, so that was your bike I saw when I snuck aboard? * Mikel eyes Trune. "Bring Venus and it can be a double date." He glances over at Emili, nodding. "That's it, yeah." * Niri clasps her hands and goes all dreamy-eyed. "Ah! Romance is in the air!" She grins at both Mikel and Trune now. * Mikel eyes Niri. "You and Tanan can come too." She doesn't have a date, though. * Niri sticks her tongue out at Mikel. You're pretty dense, Prof. [Emili] I've always wondered what would happen if I sprouted wings while driving. I bet we could glide into the sunset instead. *wink* * Trune facepalms at the mention of Venus. Well, he is made out of rock, Mikel. Ba dum. Ching. * Mikel manages to blush a bit at Emili's comment. "Ah, aha. I can't tell a lie to a lady, so I guess I wouldn't mind that." * Niri rolls her eyes * Ryllan grimaces at Mikel's horrible, horrible lines, "Mikel, did you read a book or something?" * Mikel shrugs. "That would be the downside to being an explorer." * Saki addresses Emili, rather weary: "If it would help, I can dump any of them in the water." And so the troubled resort of Carribia approaches on the horizon, and with the eccentric Star Dragon on your side everything seems possible (as long as there is ice cream there). What awaits on the mysterious star island? And what of John and Pandora's fates? Saki likes to pick people up, you see. == SESSION END == >> 18 XPs! Session Close: Sun Jul 29 02:35:02 2007
