The smell of angel food cake fills the air as it slowly bakes in the oven, its edges turning a yummy golden color. * Trune quickly sticks his head through the door, letting out a low whistle, "Aw, damn, nothing is burning. I ran here for nothing!" Oh ye of little faith! *Makes a face* As long as you As long as you're here, though, make yourself useful! *She grins and grabs a bowl of strawberries. Heaven knows where she found them.* Wait, what? Oh no no no no...I just came here to SEE kitchen follies, not BE in kitchen follies. Too late! * Niri cackles and hunts for a paring knife, after shoving the bowl into Trune's arms. * Trune looks down at the strawberries with a sour expression, "You could have at least given me a fun cooking job. But no, I get grunt work." What? Slicing strawberries is fun! Except, just, you know. Don't slice your finger by mistake and get blood on the food. Eh, you'd get your daily dose of iron that way. ...Eww. * Niri continues heating up a pot of hot fudge over the stove! What? I am just keeping it real. ....What the heck is that supposed to mean? * Trune plops the bowl of strawberries on the counter and grabs a strawberry from the bowl, "I'm joking, Princess." Seriously, you take things way too seriously for your own good. It's unhealthy. * Niri sticks her tongue out at him. How do you know I'm not just pretending to take things seriously to annoy you? * Trune chuckles, "Trust me, I know." Oooh, confident! Ha! * Niri dips a spoon into some whipped cream and takes a taste, then flings a little dab at Trune. ...hey! You are just asking for it! Asking for what? *Innocent expression* * Trune makes a show of slowly wiping off the dollop of whipped cream (which landed on his cheek), and then flings half a strawberry squarely at Niri's nose, "This." Eep! *Tries to catch it in her mouth, but misses, instead getting red juice on her face as the strawberry plops on the floor.* Reap what you sow. ;) * Trune smiles a smug little smile and continues to slice strawberries as if nothing happened, whistling a jaunty tune. * Niri , as soon as Trune's back is turned, sneaks up on him and suddenly grabs him around the neck in a strangehold and smears whip cream in his hair. "Raarr!" * Trune stops and looks at Niri in surprise, then up at the whipped cream in his hair, then back down at Niri. "You know, you just wasted half of whipped cream," he deadpans. * Niri giggles. "There's plenty left!" Yes but you put it on CAKE. Not on hair. Ogh geez this'll take hours to wash out. Oh come on, it will not. Ten minutes, tops. If you use a good shampoo. * Niri nabs a strawberry and munches. Besides, whip cream makes an awesome conditioner! Fluffy, silky hair! Yeah, but now you have created a problem. See, now I have to wash my hair...and I guess you get to finish slicing the strawberries. * Trune grabs a strawberry and munches, "Ah, the price you must pay for petty revenge." Do not. You have to let the whip cream sit for a while. That maximizes silkiness! Finish the strawberries and we can eat soon. * Trune looks down at the strawberries and starts to laugh quietly to himself, "Oh man this entire conversation is just so...can we just not tell anyone?" * Niri snickers. "Why? It's not like they could think we're any weirder than they already do." ...Heh, yeah, there's truth to that sadly. To be quite honest, I think we're probably some of the saner members of the group. ^^; *** ZackAFK is now known as Zack Oh, I don't know. You don't have superweapons that talk in your head. What's so nutty about that? It's useful! * Trune frowns a little bit, "It's strange, and I can't really explain it well." * Niri shrugs. "Doesn't bother me though." Heh, thanks. I don't really mind the mental talking becuase I'm used to it. It's...the fact now I feel the effects that's sort of troubling. What sort of effects? Like how? * Niri tests the fudge....still not quite hot enough. * Trune continues to slice the strawberries as he talks, "Well, you remember Mars, right? I could FEEL her anger. It was like my entire body was on fire and every time she got pissed off it was like sticking my body in front of a furnace." Okay, yeah, that might not be ideal. I guess it's not always as fun when the voices are hostile. Yeah. If she's always like that I'll keep my distance. Hopefully she'll cool off eventually. ....I swear that was not an intentional pun. * Trune snrks, "Angie and Dr. Webbly have warped us all." I'm afraid so. You know, speaking of insanity... The two of them, now... And here I thought Angie was all right! But she was acting just a little...uh...odd while fighting Venus. Yeah...I'm not sure where her anger came from. And considering I'm helping the elementlors and I'm so connected to them...hope she doesn't see me as an enemy or anything. Why would she? To be honest, I think she sees the Elementalors as...sorta neutral. But still dangerous. Her reaction though....man, she had so much hatred. It was sort of scary. I thought she was gonna go postal. It's very wrong and creepy for the Elementalor of light to act like that. ^^;; Yeah... * Trune trails off for a moment, then shakes his head, "Right, she had some social issues." I wonder if Webbly can do anything about her? Maybe. Who knows? Anyway, I've sliced the strawberries. * Trune passes the bowl over to Niri and attempts to seperate his sticky hair from his forehead. Thanks! *grins, then the timer starts to beep* Oh, the cake's done! *Hurries to the oven and removes it, looking yummy and golden-white.* Gonna stick around for dessert, or are you desperate to shower first? Eh, it's already half-dried for now and I have suffered mightly for this. I'll stick around for a few. *** Zack is now known as ZackDinner Awesome. ;) *Slices a piece of cake and dumps it in a bowl, then grabs the ice cream out of the freezer and adds a healthy scoop. She finishes with some of the strawberries and a dollop of hot fudge, then hands the bowl to Trune before serving up some for herself. Thanks. *begins to dig in a bit* So, you know, we're gonna have to dig your mom and dad for information. Now, based on what I've heard, I don't think your dad'll be a problem but what about your mom? ...That's a good question. Mom's always been weirdly evasive. Really, I'm just going to have to talk to her before I know how she'll react. ^^; «ooc: eep. Huh, yet Hiro always presented them as...well, true? Pretty much. ^^; And I didn't always believe him. I mean, sometimes I did! But some of it just seemed way too unrealistic. ^^; It's strange how one person would present them to you as true and another as fiction. I know. I don't get it myself. Huh...hope you don't take this too personally, Niri, but your mom may be hiding something. No, really? ...Yeah, I've already figured that out! I mean they're not buddy-buddy or anything. But the headmaster is techically his boss. No offense, but I'd just as soon avoid your dad. ^^; Oh no, don't get me wrong. I don't want to see his face, period! Just, yanno. Would have been kinda handy. Well, yeah... Anyway! I'm going to go cart some of this stuff out to the others. To rescue them from Angie's biscuits.
