Session Start: Thu Mar 08 17:29:45 2007 =Lude Thingy Go!= * Niri sits against a wall, not far from the great hulking ship the group discovered, apparently reading by the light of a small flashlight. She frowns thoughtfully as she turns a page in the book. * Tanan walks along the edge of the pier the boat is moored at, coming from its direction. He's still holding his notebook in his hand, a pencil tucked between its pages, marking his place. * Niri sees Tanan approach and looks up, waving. * Tanan raises a hand in greeting, approaching her with a serious look on his face. "Nirika. Do you have a moment?" Umm, sure. What's up? * Niri hunts around for a bookmark, finds nothing, gives up, and closes the book. Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt your reading, but something's come up. Or rather, Angie found something out. * Tanan pauses, looking around as if checking for someone. "Mind if I sit?" Oh! Sure. What'd Angie find out? *She glances at the ship* Hopefully something that will get us out of here...I don't like this place much. * Tanan sits down crosslegged, facing Niri. "Nothing so good as that, I'm afraid. I think we're committed to trying to release Pluto. I'm not going to say I like this any more than you do, but I think it's the right thing to do, so..." * Tanan trails off, and shrugs Well, I don't mind looking for Pluto so much. In fact, I'm interested in meeting her. But I don't like this ship. It gives me the willies! Hrm. Well, Ryllan was saying something about that. How this was one of the weapons from the end of the world. Of course, the irony there... so're the elementalors. ...That's true. But the Elementalors are PEOPLE, too! So it's only right that we try to help them, if nothing else. * Tanan watches Niri for a few moments, then smiles. "Yes. You're right. I figure if the boat gets us there, then so be it. It's just a tool, not alive. It won't do anything if we don't misuse it." ...I guess you could look at it that way. Well, I think we should go. I'll just try to keep from getting too edgy about it. So, what are the others up to? Mm. Well, the more mechanically inclined of us are trying to get that thing working right now. I was just talking to a few of them, they were taking a break. That's what I wanted to talk to you about, actually. Not the ship fixing, but what we were talking about." And what was that? * Tanan frowns. "Emiria." ...Oh. Yeah. She bothers me a little, too. ^^; What did everyone say about her? *** Stelas is now known as Stelazzz|work Apparently Angie got a look at her with that analysis willforce of hers, when she was flipping out. She said that she detected someone else in there, with Emiria. Called him 'he', said he felt unnatural. * Tanan looks around again. Uh oh. Is this kinda like that thing with Saki, and with Ryllan? Does she have someone else riding around in her too? ^^; You're acting kind of jumpy about this. Sorry. We want to keep this quiet. I'm not terribly interested in telling certain people until we know more. And we don't want to tell her yet, because we don't think she even realizes. * Tanan sighs. "It's difficult to say. It seems like it is like with Ryllan, but Saki is certain that it isn't the prophetess. Angie seemed to agree with that as well. As absurd as the prophetess is, those spirits were still human. This apparently isn't." And of course... there's the way Mars reacted to her. We've never seen one of the elementalors express a lucid urge to destroy someone specifically like that before. ...That creeps me out even more. But I'll keep it quiet, yeah... *sighs* This stinks though, because she seems pretty nice, but I don't know how to handle all this. * Niri eyes her book again. "Wonder if this might have any answers?" << Hrm, wish Storen were around >> * Tanan nods. "That's one reason I'm telling you this. Do you remember what the elementalors were designed for?" Well, as weapons for the great war, right? << We can't exactly find out what's in the book without asking him >> <> Yes... as enemies of Zophar and his forces. Angie said that whatever it is, it's not really all that strong, so I doubt that it's anything _that_ dire. But it could be some sort of... I don't know. Demon or something. Still, if the Elementalors see it as a threat... I hope Leah gets here soon. ^^; I want to get out of here. I'm starting to feel claustrophobic. Yes. We wouldn't want to ignore it. So that's what I wanted to ask you... could you try to look up anything dealing with those sort of creatures? I know that's a heck of a thing to ask, considering the size of that thing, but... Of course. I'll see if I can find anything right now. I was flipping through it earlier, but I haven't come up with much of any use... * Niri opens up to the table of contents and leans close to examine it, adjusting her glasses and holding her mini flashlight in her teeth. Hmmm...nod theeing mush... *she removes the flashlight from her mouth* I'll let you know if I find anything, though. Keep an eye on Emiria, okay? :/ And Ryllan and Saki, too. I wonder how this might set either of them off. * Tanan nods, looking off in the direction of the ship. "I hope we can trust her about this. And Niri? Sorry. And thanks. I feel like I'm assigning work or something here." Ha, no, it makes sense. At least I've got something to USE this book for now. If I can ever figure anything out...the index is a nightmare. * Niri makes a face. Well, I'll keep an eye out...better get busy. *Peers at the table of contents again* << We about done, or anything else you wanted to do? >> * Tanan stands up. "Thanks. Let me know if you find anything. Or Angie, I guess. This might wind up being yet another thing to look up back at the academy, when it all comes down to it." And hey, look on the bright side. We'll be out on the ocean, in the fresh air again soon. That's true! *Niri brightens* <> ==Lude Thingy End!== * Tanan gives a slight wave. "Anyway, I'll stop bugging you. I'm going to go and get cut off argh argh argh-" He then collapses. Session Close: Thu Mar 08 21:27:09 2007
