A lush and well-manicured garden surrounds the apthway here, but the saam unease persists as a fountain statue of the Goddess' Chosen watches you. The stained glass accented door awaits the opening, leading into the reaches of the Society leadership. * Saki is apparently having a staring-and-glaring competition with the statue. And very possibly winning. * Vytor walks up to the door, and not totally sure of protocol, knocks on it. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) * Lucca-away (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Lucca-away Vytor's knock sounds out on the hardwood, and a moment passes in peace. Soon the handle turns and a young Virtue Knight opens it. Hello. [Knight Attendant] Can I help you gentlemen.. and women? Yes actually. We're here to see the Dynastis...s. We're here on Academy business. * Saki breaks off from her attempt to cow the statue, forming up behind Vytor. * Angharad does her best to melt behind the group. [Knight Attendant] Hylan Academy business you say? Would you happen to be the group sent by Headmisress Haylee to help with the preparations? * Lucca-away is now known as Lucca * Lucca is now known as Trune * Tanan nods. "That's us." * Trune nods. The door opens wide for you. "I see. Then by all means, enter. You'll find the High Priestess of the Society, Ishtar Dynastis, in the private chapel. Her husband Adam is currently out on patrol with the Knights." Thank you. Thanks. Is it okay for us to interrupt her in the chapel? We can wait a few minutes. * Niri eyes Saki as she leaves the statue. * Niri frowns thoughtfully and follows the others. [Knight Attendant] No. I have specific orders to allow you in to see her., since this ia a matter of security against the sorceress. Thank you. We'll do whatever we can, I promise you. * Saki continues to look vaguely discomfited. Rather than focus on the decor, she keeps an eye on the group instead, and then keeps a rather neurotic lookout for flying crazy mage women. « Up in the sky, it's supermage! » * Angie nods. "Thanks," she says, and in a flash she's away, briskly exploring the cloister. * Vytor bustles in through the door with the others * Angharad trails after them. * Angie fondles a chair. * Trune trails behind the others, still looking a little out of place in a place that is...well...way holier than he is. (w) Saki, you're bristling. Take it easy. :/ Entering the cloister halls, you once again are placed in that same feeling of peace yet imposition by a higher power. However, here it is not so bad, as the decorum is rather simple and subdued. There are three hallways of doors that branch off, with the central one leading into a marble sided walkway and a simularly carved doorway. * Niri sneezes. At varied intervals and ahll corners are pots of fresh flowers from the fields. I suppose we want the fanciest door. « hall corners » * Saki trundles along at the rear, running on automatic. At Niri's comment she blinks herself back to reality, then at least has the good grace to breate out an apologetic sigh. "... sorry. Keep expecting guests." Eh, I dunno. Priestess can be pretty humble. She might not be behind the fanciest door here. * Angharad looks at the flowers with interest, gauging their freshness and their health. Angharad finds they are very fresh, and well watered. They must be replaced frequently... But when all the other doors are for other priests and stuff, doesn't that mean you put the highest ranking one behind the best door? Well, try to relax, okay? We can dake care of whadever habbens. *achoo* The aroma is calming to your senses. * Vytor decidedto try his luck, and makes for the fancy door. Vytor pushes forward, into the short hall. The portal before him is inscribed with a few sayings from Virtue's writings, and on the arch above it is a re-creation of a scene in textbooks known by some as the coming of Althena to the Blue Star. Many downtrodden people and beleaguered warriors all bow at her feet, as she sends rays of light off to nurture her followers. * Vytor presses on, figuring he's moving in the right direction...maybe. * Tanan hesitates, looking at the drawings * Angharad looks up at the scene and softly utters a sigh. She shakes her head and follow Vytor inside. <> * Saki nods curtly in reply, and even makes a visible effort to pull herself together. As she follows after Vytor, she cocks an eye towards it and frowns. As he approaches, there's a soft voice from beyond the marble door. "Please... enter." As they filter to your ears, the door slides open slowly and deliberately to reveal a shaft of light from the next room through the ajar . * Angie lingers in the doorway with Tanan, staring with great interest at the mural. Hello? * Trune bites his lip and continues on, looking at the engravings quietly. * Tanan starts, and moves to catch up Vytor doesn't get a response immediately. Though he does hear what sounds like birds chirping. * Vytor shrugs, and goes on in * Saki walks on past the mural, barely giving it a second glance beyond the first, somewhat withering one; instead she follows Vytor in. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) Hualing the fancy gate aside, you are greeted with an interesting environ. A large room, filled with skylights made of stained glass in the shape and color of four dragons... the sun from above shines through these pictures, almost bringing them alive. Underneath the baroque cieling, a middle aged woman all in white sits kneeling down, holy robes pooling about her like a baptismal font. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Trune Whoa o_O Her ebony hair flows down to meet it, contrasting greatly. She is surrounded by what appear to be four hovering lights... but you soon realzie they are more than that. Four birds made entirely of spirit energy, dnacing and chirping in the garden that lays at her feet. * Angharad nods, impressed. * Trune raises his eyebrows, clearly impressed. * Angie gapes at the opulence. She looks up at the multicoloured sky and smiles broadly. * Vytor seems at a loss for words right now The priestess opens her eyes as you cross the threshold, giving you a warm, and yet in some ways weary smile. * Tanan steps forward, hesitating just for a second at the sight of the birds. "Ah.. Lady Dynastis?" [Ishtar] So you've arrive safely. That's very good. « er arrived » It's good to see you're all right as well. I'm professor Tanan Wardin, we've just come from the academy, though I guess you already know that. She nods, the birds circuling a bit defensively as Tanan steps forward. But they soon return to their frolicking, allowing him passage. * Angie takes a closer look at Ishtar, seeing her as if for the first time. "Well, we aren't the ones at risk." Her eyes drift away and she scratches at her forehead. "Actually, no, you're right." [Ishtar] Yes... I welcome you to New raculi. I'm.. so very sorry i couldn't greet you. But the circumstances are... a bit unhelpful. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) [Ishtar] Althena bless you for coming this far to aid us in our hour of greatest need. * Angharad shifts uncomfortably and looks away. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Trune Ishtar notices Angharad turning her face away and looks a bit saddened. * Vytor looks strangely at Angharad * Lucca (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Lucca * Tanan shakes his head. "You're welcome. We'll do whatever we can, if w-.." He trails off, turning to follow where Ishtar's looking * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit ([rpgcafe.nj.us.lunarnet.org] Local kill by Lucca (Dear god why? :()) * Lucca is now known as Trune [Ishtar] Please, do not turn away. You all have come here with good in your hearts... and skills that Althena has given you to use for the betterment of everyone. I hold no malice in my heart for your kind... a mistake of the past does not have to be a sin of the present, Angharad. * Angie watches Angharad curiously. * Trune keeps his mouth shut, for once. * Angharad sighs. "You are kind, my lady, but I do not feel I am a part of this. When you ask Althena to bless us for coming to your aid, I can only offer so much. It is not worthy of blessings or something that can be used in greatest need." * Niri blinks. ... * Niri looks mildly confused. * Tanan stares at Angharad for a few moments before murmuring "...not part of this?" [Ishtar] But you are here, now, and there is a task to be done. Perhaps in solving our woes, you will solve your confusion as well. I will pray for you, as I am now praying for the safety of all of the Blue Star. * Niri decides it's probably none of her business and she should not be bothered by it! [Ishtar] I will preach no more on that topic for now... Um, excuse me...Lady Izshdar? *sniffles* I was wondering...aboud the stadues and carvings. * Angharad bows her head graciously, though perhaps unconvinced. "Thank you." [Ishtar] Gracious child are you ill? . o O ( You mean physically or mentally, lady? ) Er, sorry, yeah. I god a bid of a cold fighting a wader creature. Nothing big! * Angie nods sagely. "We used thunder magic on it," she explains. Ishtar closes her eyes a moment, as Niri is sudden surrounded by light. It drags away her sickness, replacing it with vitality and a cleansed feeling, as if she had just taken a shower. >> Ishtar casts Convalesce Litany on Nirir! Status Cleared. « er Niri » * Tanan nods to himself, still murmuring. "Now that's what power should be used for." Damn...can you teach me that? [Ishtar] I would be remiss if I didn't give the child of Lucia a little care. Wow. O_o Er, thanks ma'am! * Vytor return shi attention to the conversation * Niri bounces on her toes a little and grins. "I don't feel like I've been run over by the Destiny anymore! Awesome, I'm my old cheery self again." [Ishtar] Perhaps one day... such things did not develop overnight, you know. It takes long days of reflection and prayer. And saving a world perhaps... We don't seem to have a very good track record for saving worlds. As a species, I mean. Well, no, I guess not, but I Well, no, I guess not, but I'm all for it if I get the chance! Saving the world, I mean. That's what adventurers do, after all. ^_^ [Ishtar] The old heroes of which I was one fought to ensure humanity had a new opportunity... a gilded chance. * Trune rolls his eyes, "(w) Man, so naive. She's so, so naive..." Don't we, Angie? We're here, we're alive, and this world is slowly becoming livable again. [Ishtar] But now, it would seem someone wants to take that all away from us... that is why I spend my days here now, cowering behind these wards. * Niri nods listening to Ishtar :/ Well, we're here to hopefully put a stop to that. The whole...cowering thing I mean. Behind walls. Fancy, well decorated walls...but walls nonetheless. [Ishtar] As we speak, Adepts from the Academy have volunteered to help setup an even more grandiose ward around our city. Infused with temporal magic of Johnathan's it should disrupt the Prophetess for at least a short while. *Hearing about wards piques Angie's interest. She examines the room in more detail, looking for signs of some sort of a barrier. "Is this place well-protected, then? Maybe it would be better if we brought everyone here. Cowering is a valid strategy!" That's not necessarily a bad idea. Or to the academy... Eh, maybe in the short term but we don't want this to be a permenent thing. * Tanan shakes his head. "But there's a way through anything, eventually. Can't just hide." [Ishtar] I understand that you might have discovered a way to battle this Prophetess? * Angie fixes her attention on an unremarkable piece of furniture. She rubs her chin and narrows her eyes. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) * Vytor looks to Tanan to make their plan sound rational Er....we've had a few ideas. * Tanan looks at Ryllan. "We might. Ryllan here has some unorthodox talents, altering the effects of other's willforce." [Ishtar] I see... another most interesting gift. We won't be able to fight in here, I don't think. Not unless she breaks the wards first. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Trune We can't say for sure whether or not it will work though, unfortunately. Master Hylan gave us something to help, but... it's impossible to say. I don't want to risk your life on it, but we'll try if it comes down to it. * Lucca (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Lucca * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit ([rpgcafe.nj.us.lunarnet.org] Local kill by Lucca (Gtrrghdoghodhghdgodpoopface)) * Lucca is now known as Trune ...I still wish we knew just WHY the Prophetess is after the old heroes. [Ishtar] There was actually something else, though. Relating to elements and summoning? * Angie grins broadly, flashing a set of pearly teeth. "You're well-informed! The Elementalors. Trune can explain that." * DooM_GazE is now known as Ryllan [Ishtar] Nirika, I have been meditating on her strange soul-draining powers and may have found some enlightenment on that topic. * Tanan shakes his head. "They might help, but we can't count on them. They don't have enough power to really challenge her." * Trune suddenly snaps to attention when his name is mentioned, "Eh? Oh yeah! The Elementlors. Think of them as...super powerful beings with elemental traits that have been assisting us. That's the super short version, anyway." * Ryllan looks up at Ishtar's latest comment, "And what is that, may I ask?" * Vytor hangs back while the plans and explanations fly about. [Ishtar] I see Professor, Trune... but if we can manage to slow her down in one place, you would do well to try whatever you can. You may only have one brief chance. * Trune nods. Ishtar sighs once, gazing at Ryllan with deep brown eyes. [Ishtar] How much of history do you know about what the Truth Seekers performed during the Unraveling? To be honest, not a lot. Not as much as I should like. Information is scarce. * Niri listens closely to Ishtar's answer to Ryllan. I know some, but... The details are kind of fuzzy. [Ishtar] The details are fuzzy because a greater purpose wishes they be. ...A greater purpose? * Angie squints, searching Ishtar's face. "That's a little disturbing. Can you give us a hint?" It doesn't seem right for a greater purpose to tinker with people's memories. [Ishtar] It was a consequence of the Unraveling itself... meddling with so much soul energy was difficult. « just a moment » [Ishtar] The 10 Truth Seekers were all present at the ceremony, as well as Queen Virtue. [Ishtar] The Seeker Prophecy written by the Prophetess ages ago foretold our coming, each holding a piece of a greater whole.. a rare magical talent. * Vytor listens [Ishtar] When working in concert, the power is enough to change an entire world.. to wish nearly anything into being. The power of Willforce... but on a grand scale not seen since the Devestation War... brandished by Althena's divine will herself. Okay, now I'm really confused. So...you're saying the truth seekers had enough willforce to shape an entire world? They had that much power? Yeah...it's hard to imagine them getting beaten if they were that strong, right? ...And to be honest I've never quite understood why the world had to be changed, or what made the Unraveling necessary. But uh. Yeah. [Ishtar] To steal our souls is to steal our powers... thusly... should we all fall, she will literally have the powers of a goddess, or nearly so. ....Now that's just freaky. Geez...and she's strong enough on her own. I don't want HER for a goddess. Uh oh, is she another person who thinks we need to create ourselves a new deity for whatever reason? Or does she just want power? Either way it's upsetting. * Angie scratches the tip of her nose; her eyes wander up to the multicoloured ceiling. "If they had that much power together, couldn't they have saved Lunar?" I suppose that depends on what was wrong with it [Ishtar] We saved the Blue Star, but Lunar was lost. One day we may be able to reivive it, but for now, Virtue has preached that it served it's purpose as our temporary home for the millenia... It is a well enough home, and better than none. [Ishtar] Now we must face the sins of our past. This spectre is one of them. One who seems to be shaping history, though long dead. The headmistress seemed to think it possible that she's trying to fulfill her own prophecy? [Ishtar] It could very well be so. * Vytor considers that Not much of a Prophetess then. How about mentally screwed up? [Ishtar] There is still one line that all of the Seekers, especially Johnathan, watched very carefully. The returning of Zophar to this world once more. ...isn't he supposed to be dead? Twice over? Apparently maybe not? O_o * Tanan looks at Niri. "Hiro was supposed to have defeated him, but do we know if he killed him for sure? Has your dad ever said anything..?" <> <> Er....well, I THOUGHT he was dead. O_o Dad pretty soundly kicked his butt. But...if he could ever be revived or not? I don't know. [Ishtar] Destroyed twice by the righteous sword. But the essence of malice and hatred plots daily for his revenge in Hell, no doubt. An evil force certainly is creeping into the shadows of the Blue Star these days ...Now that's encouraging. :P Master Hylan is supposed to be working on some sort of weapon to use against Zophar, didn't they say? Ishtar simply nods. [Ishtar] I'm afraid Johnathan and the Society are not on the closest of terms. So such information is beyond my grasp. * Angie paces over to the wall. Her hand hovers an inch away as if afraid to touch; after a second she pushes her glasses up and turns around. "So, any ideas as regards blowing her up? We've got those ideas you mentioned, but I wouldn't mind a few more layers of reduncancy." Angie likes blowing sh---stuff up. When it's the Prophetess we're talking about, so do I! Only some stuff! [Ishtar] We are turning the city into a trap, for all intents and purposes. It pains me to do this, but I have no choice. I am the next target. It is only a matter of time.... fortunately peace has reigned in blessed Raculi for now. ...How do you mean, a trap? Okay, there's gotta be some way to kick her butt this time... >:| How is this trap supposed to work for something so powerful? [Ishtar] The walls of our town will blockade her on all sides, countering any Time magic that is unleashed and draining her mental energies. Then I will leave things in your hands, and mine if it must come to it. Ooh. That means we have to come up with a plan. Hey Trune! Think you got a handle on that summoning thing with the Elementalors? Hmm * Trune hmms, then nods, "I think so, yeah." [Ishtar] Fortunately, there is yet time to plan. But there are other issues in our holy places that are not so obvious. Be careful -- she never comes alone. * Angie raises a finger. "Oh yeah! You have like a crop blight or something, right?" Will we be able to summon them, through the wards? I know you couldn't get them at all in the academy... Huh...I...didn't think of that. Damn. I'm not sure. I can practice on my own for a while and tell you. Maybe we could try it now? [Ishtar] Unfortunately, yes. The people are suffering due to an imminent bad harvest from this strange curse. We are having problemsfinding out waht is doing it.. all seems normal, but land is dying slowly. [Ishtar] Your summons.. should work? You're not sure then? [Ishtar] The wards are only relevant to Time bending willforce. You're in luck! We have the solution to that problem, too! Or, well. Possible solution? Hrm. :/ Could this have anything to do with the land's revival going wrong somehow? [Ishtar] If you call upon an Element, ir should be uneffected. * Angharad quietly coughs. "While I don't think I can help you against the Prophetess, I may be able to look at the harvest. When did this start?" [Ishtar] Nirika, I have looked into that much and I can decree with some certainty that it is not a spiritual blight. Something is poisoning our food. Ishtar smiles at Angharad, seeing her finally get more involved. Poisoning your food? Have people been getting sick as well? [Ishtar] It was a rumor for quite some time, until just recently when we lost a great deal of the previus harvest. Like the plants were just instantly killed at the root. Poisoning?? At the root... you think something's out there? Okay, this sounds like a job for...for... Well, okay, it means I have to turn detective. It's hard to imagine someone doing that. Maybe it's a monster. [Ishtar] If you wish to aid us in finding the source of this blight, seek out the woman from Vulcannon Labs. Dr. Sonyele, our contact for work with agricultural concerns. Plants don't die instantly. They are a very slow-moving sort of life, and I don't mean in terms of their ability to walk. Any poison would have to be absorbed. it could take days. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) Hmmm. Dr. Sonyele? Isn't she working with the geodomes from the western side of town? Session Time: Sat Jun 24 00:00:00 2006 * Angie brightens at the news. "I've heard of her! She's supposed to be really good. I'd love to talk shop with her." [Ishtar] That is the theory right now. It involves the irrigation system... she is looking into it. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Trune [Ishtar] There is also one other tribulation... Other? [Ishtar] While sending out parties to investigate our lands that border the Icefields, several explorers have mysterious vanished. [Ishtar] The mysterious Bluetooth valley has claimed another soul... * Lucca (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Lucca * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit ([rpgcafe.nj.us.lunarnet.org] Local kill by Lucca (Blip!)) * Lucca is now known as Trune ...more? Ishtar runs her eyes over to Vytor now. I hate to say it, but it might just be best not to send anyone else there. I know it sounds bad, but if that many people have gone missing there's probably something pretty bad there, whether it's like environmental or ghosts or a monster or something. [Ishtar] Mr. Dunbar, I know this must be hard for you hearing this... * Angie trails off, slipping into a different train of thought. "But then, it can't be any more dangerous than what we're already doing," she mumbles to herself. * Angharad looks at Vytor inquiringly. * Vytor sighs, "Can't say I'm really surprised. Even after all the cartography done in the area, its still dangerous." * Tanan looks at Angie. "Or the next party that goes should be ready to deal with something like that..." I just didn't know people were still dying up there [Ishtar] It was remarkably peaceful for several years. But at about the same time the plants have become sickly, there have ben sightings of strange figures in the snow. * Vytor raises an eyebrow, "Coincidence?" [Ishtar] Humans, perhaps. but noone has gotten close enough to say for certain. * Trune frowns, "Weird that whatever it is can do so much damage way up north." * Vytor folds his arms and scowls The priestess adjusts her position slightly at the cenetr of the room. The north is a freaky place. It's easy to forget just how close to the edges of town the world is wild. I can't do anything for mysterious humans or the Prophetess, but I can see about the plants. Does anyone else want to go to Dr. Sonyele's? I will. I know her by reputation at least. Might as well go say howdy. * Angie nods, gathering the remains of her good mood. "I'd like to see her, definitely. I might try a geomantic reading on the fields, too. She says it's not spiritiual, but it never hurts to check." [Ishtar] Whatever you decide to do, I will be here, watching and wishing for success. * Angharad nods to Ishtar and turns to go. Thanks for the info Ishtar. * Vytor follows Angharad out. Yeah, thanks a lot. * Trune waves once and heads out after the others, looking a little anxious to leave. [Ishtar] If you need a place to think, and rest your warrior spirits, Althena will provide you one in our fold. Ishtar bows her head and then falls silent in her garden of light. * Vytor grins at that last remark Thank you. We appreciate it, a lot. I guess you'd know better than most how it is, being on the move like this. So, we gonna stay here for a bit, then? I'm hungry. We can stop for something to eat I think. * Tanan nods, as he turns to leave. "We should talk to the doctor, at the very least." I'm sure we'll have time to grab a bite to eat before we do anything Yay food. ^^ Man, Niri. I bet deep inside you're food obsessed or something. THere's lots of good places to eat around here. * Angie leaves the room. As she passes through the threshold, something occurs to her and she stops and turns. "Can we see the underground library later?" Hm? Yeah I guess. Why? You know, Angharad... Yes? Ishtar raises her head briefly. "Oh? Such wisdom isn't buried under your feet, but right in front of your nose. Our library in the Cathedral is at your disposal." * Angie stomps her foot. "Dammit!" She walks out without another word. * Niri blinks * Tanan turns to look at her, and grins. "I can't figure you out. You act all unconcerned and unconnected, almost like you don't care, but then you hear about a problem and immediately offer to help. I'm starting to suspect you're really a lot nicer than you've been letting on." * Trune blinks at Angie a couple of times, then laughs quietly to himself, "Aw, man, that was kinda funny." What's got her all angry? Who the hell knows? Angie entertains me for reasons I can't quite figure out yet. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) Well....I don't like the idea of finding someone else's irritation amusing, but I have to admit, she IS kind of funny! * Angharad cocks her head at Tanan, pondering. "I would like to help, but there are limits to my ability. Dr. Brandt asked me to look into the harvest here, so I will do that, and I would like to do that. But greater things involving prophecies and making and unmaking of worlds is beyond me." Hey Angharad, I think it's kind of beyond any of us, to be honest. * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Trune The Blue Star was made for humans. When the Unraveling occured, I made it here too, but was the Blue Star warmed for one like me? Or did I take the place of a human who would have made it here instead? * Angharad shrugs. * Tanan pauses, staring at Angharad as though considering * Lucca (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) has joined #lunar-iog2 * ChanServ sets mode: +o Lucca * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit ([rpgcafe.nj.us.lunarnet.org] Local kill by Lucca (Jesus At least that comment made it through!)) * Lucca is now known as Trune * Tanan shakes his head, sounding decisive. "Hmmm.. Nope. You should be here, because you are here, so it's your world too. I've decided. Anyone disagrees, they can go sodomize themselves." Well, can't argue with that ;) * Angharad chuckles lowly. Yeah, seriously, we can't. ... I'm not sure that's /possible/, Tanan, but the sentiment's right. * Niri blinks at Angharad. "You know...when it comes right down to it, what's the difference between you and a human? I mean, really. Does that mean if you were a small lop-eared bunny you'd have no right to live here?" Bah! A way can be found. And Tanan, you have such a way with words. ;) * Tanan grins, and bows * Vytor chuckles Hm. Down with bunnies? Is that what you're saying, Niri? Leah, who has been quiet and respectful the whole time, finally can't hold back a giggle at Niri's mention of a bunny. Now, for those who are hungry, there are a couple of nice places to grab a bite in town. What I'm SAYING is that the Blue Star belongs to more than just humans. We want cute little fluffy animals to be here too, right? So why not thinking, breathing, feeling people like Angharad as well? So the Blue Star is made for all of us. That's what I think. * Niri points at Leah. "And you just hush!" * Vytor ticks off the names with his fingers, "There's Stucky's Kitchen, Werner's Pub - if you like bar food, the Stinking Rose, and the Empty Plate." That is kind of you, Niri, but not everyone feels that way. If it makes you feel any better, Angharad, we're not those kind of people. Yeah. I'm just saying how I feel. *Shrugs* * Angie is waiting for the group by the time they make it outside. She matches pace as they pass by, saying nothing. ...Sucky's kitchen? * Trune laughs loudly, then stops, "Aw man, you said Stucky's kitchen, didn't you?" Dr. Brandt is not, which is why I appreciate working for him. It still takes me time to get used to people though. Eh, so you're tall and furry. Beats being a jerk, and there's hundreds of them around using up perfectly good air. And on a side note, I refuse to eat at a place called the stinking rose. * Vytor raises an eyebrow at Trune, "I guess we hear what we want to, eh?" * Trune rubs his head and looks a little sheepish, "Guess so." Empty Plate sounds most promising to me. Unless the plates are as empty. Empty plate sounds alright. Maybe they're HALF empty. Or half full. * Niri grins cutely. Wouldn't it be called the Half-Empty Plate, then? The key isn't to decide if it's half empty or full Stucky's is pretty typical traveller's faire. Werner's Pud is, well, a Pub. The Stinking Rose specializes in Garlic dishes, and the Empty Plate is kind of an upscale artsy place. The key is to empty it and then refill it and then empty it again. ....Ah. How much money do we have for food...? Orr.... We could forgo that and see what foddstuffs we have a my place. Garlic dishes... I rescind my earlier comment. Does anyone live in your place besides you? My sister does, just not right now. Oh wow, if we go to the Stinking Rose, can you imagine the smell that will waft from all of us? I bet we can kill cattle. Vampire cattle? Or a Prophetess. That'd be great! We'll just breathe in her general direction! Problems solved! Somehow I don't think garlic bread can solve ALL our problems * Angie jogs ahead of the others and spins around, walking backwards. "Okay, I'm making an executive decision! We're going to Werner's Pub." But it's tasty. Very tasty Ooh, I'd love to see Vytor's place. ...Eh, why not? And okay, fine, the pub. But maybe we can visit Vytor later! * Vytor raises an eyebrow at Angie, but offers no objections. Pub food it is then, I suppose. * Angharad nods. One thing, Angie? I always thought the point of pub food was that it encouraged you to keep drinking because you didn't want to stop and be forced to eat it. * Angie spreads her hands. "Anything in the world, Vytor!" If you want to go to the Pub *points behind him* its that way. * Niri stifles a snicker. * Vytor sets off * Trune bites his lip to keep from laughing, "See what I mean, Niri? Entertainment." * Tanan chuckles, and follows Vytor I recommend the Ploughman's Platter. Its good, and cheap, and fills you up fairly well along with a nice mug of tea or mead. Especially honey mead. Ooh, I should try that! I hear it's good. Also, I like anything with gravy. Meat's a big sweet for me, but I'll rise to the challenge. There's some stuff with gravy, I think «ooc: a bit » Niri, you do NOT want Mead. Trust me. I don't? No. My dad said it was really good. And it's made from HONEY. Yes, but...rgh, if you have too much of it don't say I didn't warn you. « as Niri goes on about Mead, we pause!! » If you like gravy, then try a Shepherd's Pie. * Stelas (0@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Quit: ) * Trune (~lucca@staff.lunarnet.org) Quit (Connection reset by peer) If apple pie has apple in it, and pumpkin pie has pumpkin pie in it, what does shepherd's pie have in it? Pie. Onions. * Angie crosses her arms and punts a stone. "How pedestrian." Potatoes. * Susan is now known as Huw Niri... no Mead. I men it. << >.> MEAN >> Do you have any good breweries here? I'm more about the beer. I hardly think a glass'd kill her. Probably not. * Niri raises an eyebrow But do YOU want to be the one who has to keep her in line? I could say something about now but...I'm trying to be a nice person. Eh, it's all about moderation. I really doubt she'd be that out of it after one glass. >> And so food wins out yet again for the day, as the group heads to grab a quick bite from seeking out the worker named DR. Sonyele. == SESSION END == Tah dah! >> 3xp for all. +1 for Angharad for being so gosh darn personable today. Session Close: Sat Jun 24 00:57:33 2006
