* Scott just sits outside, thinking about a lot of things....most of them have to do with this "Pillar of Humanity" business.

* Bree walks up with an umbrella, trying to shield Scott from the rain "Hey you... you're going to catch pneumonia out here like this..." *concerned sound** Scott looks up. "Oh. Thanks, Bree. I was just thinking."

* Bree smiles a bit "I figured that's what you were doing... sane people dont go out in the rain like this."

<Scott> This "Pillar of Humanity" business has me worried....

<Bree> "I didn't really understand it fully... not sure if I'm supposed to be one too or not." *looks up at the sky*<Scott> I don't know. It seems that all of this is being thrust upon us so fast that we can't even figure it out. 

<Bree> I think all we need to understand is we need to stop the church... right?

<Scott> that's all we know. But to do that, we'll probably have to defeat whatever monstrosity that Sinel will create from the 4 Pillars' genetic data.

* Bree shudders "I dont even want to think about that thing..."

<Scott> and oddly enough, I don't feel like a pillar of anything....

<Scott> first one, we wait for whatever Sinel does with the data to be finished...then we finish it off, then Sinel follows suit.

<Johnathan> You've as much right to an opinion as any of us, Bree.. what are these options, Scott?

<Scott> second option: We go into Serak, and destroy Sinel's lab, taking all the genetic data and whatever work Sinel did with it.

* Bree shrugs "I didn't say that... just meant that I dont really have a clue as to what we're doing..."

<Scott> but if I know Sinel, his lab is better fortified than Virtue's palace. I did work as one of his personal guards for a short period of time during my stint with the Magic Guard.

<Bree> "Well I'm sure there's a way in.. I'm great at getting into places I'm not supposed to be in!" *grins** Johnathan grins. "There's always a way in.. even if its through a large smouldering hole in a wall."

<Bree> "Not very subtle.. we'd get swarmed with guards.." *sweatdrops*<Scott> I guess. What's a few Virtue guards to a genetic monstrosity that has all our powers, right, John?

* Johnathan shrugs. "I personally think they're over-rating our genetic material. Sinel's mistake, there. We'll deal with that hurdle when we come to it."

<Johnathan> Don't take me wrong.. I'm not saying there's no threat at all.. but I doubt its even half as bad as everyone thinks.

<Scott> I don't think our genetic material has our magical abilities tied in.. I had to work hard to learn my sword techniques...and Lance Astorian is one damn tough teacher.

* Bree shrugs "He must want them for a reason..."

<Scott> and I need not remind you of "T-Rex Tira" if you went to the magic school in Vane...

<Scott> my mother, Tira Blair-Astorian. She was an instructor in the guild.

<Bree> I kinda think I should have been in magic... dunno why. Just think I would have been good at it.

* Johnathan smiles. "I spent my life in the guild.. but I never got any further than the most basic classes, Scott. I was quite out of the loop there.. and considered the poorest magician they didn't outright kick out in several generations.. or so my one instructor told me several times."

<Scott> Well, maybe someone will teach you a bit...but magic is really highly overrated.

<Scott> all we can do is ensure that humanity survives...though I think Zeio may have to do with this than we think.....think back to the Tower on Caldor.

* Johnathan shrugs a little. "But there's no choice.. if things have to change... we have to be the ones to make it.. for humanity's sake, Scott? Perhaps. But I don't really expect to.. 'have a place'.. in the new world.

<Bree> "I'd rather exaggerate the odds in our favor, and get the job done.." *searches her pockets*<Scott> you know something, John. I was told something back before I fought DarkStar. Do you know what Master Katamari told me? that just because you see nothing but death in your future, you still have to fully live your life while you can, otherwise, it's pointless to go on. 

* Bree smiles, making a joke "Isn't Kalamari squid?"

* Johnathan smiles. "It's not pointless, Scott. Even if my life became a pure living hell, if the fates of others might rest on 'going on', then it'd be far from pointless.

<Scott> do you know how many people died at my hands before I fought DarkStar? More than I can actually count...and so many that I didn't value my own life...but I had to make a decision back when I was given my final trial by Katamari, and that decision was not to give up my own life just because of that, and in that decision, I was able to learn that last technique....and even when I am able to use it, I still wind up walking a fine line between life and death.

<Johnathan> Never wake up really early in the morning and not been able to make your eyes stay open, Bree?

<Scott> I was always up early anyway. That made time for sword practice before I got to my usual morning routine.

<Johnathan> And I always loved to sleep in. Being a horrible slacker had its advantages..

<Bree> I had a lot of years where I was by myself, doing nothing but training.. so I made my own sleep schedule.. my own schedule for everything really..
