<TheStoryteller> We last left Leon's group as they ascended from the bowels of the Diamond Mines via a convenient pulley cart. But what awaits them on this level is a mystery.. but it's surely Ramon...

<Seth> I wonder what awaits us on this level...
<Tahn> Yeah...
* Tahn seems more lost in thought than usual.
<Seth> And did I just sound incredibly stupid just then?
<Haylee> Yes.
<Tahn> Yeah...

<Leon> Most certainly.
* Seth smirks.
<Seth> Thought so.
<Haylee> But we've got bigger problems. ^^;
<Leon> Yep.
<Leon> Me.
<Haylee> I meant Ramon, silly.
<Leon> I'm a much bigger problem than Ramon is.
* Tahn blinks, looks at Leon, and looks back at Haylee and John..

* Seth checks his watch.
<Haylee> Just....be careful.
* Tahn closes his eyes and mutters something.

* Seth procedes through the caves.
* Tahn blinks again..
* Haylee blinks.

<TheStoryteller> As you walk through the tunnels you start hearing a moaning echoing down them...
<Leon> ...
<Seth> Oh, does anyone have a herb with them?
<Johnathan> I wonder.. we're up a little higher now..
<TheStoryteller> It sounds like someone in excruciating pain.
<Leon> Well, sounds like someone's setting up a trap.
* Johnathan closes his eyes, and murmurs, attempting to spread some healing energies through the group.
<Tahn> Ifya say so.
* Leon folds his arms, "I know so."
<Seth> Umm.. anyone?
<Tahn> ...Well, your instinct's been right before. -_- All too right.
<TheStoryteller> >> Johnathan's spell still doesn't seem to work... the diamonds absorb the raw magical energy.
<Leon> Good that you finally see that.
<TheStoryteller> The sound fades again. The tunnels are dimly lit and quiet once more.
<Johnathan> Damn.. we're still..
<Leon> Did anyone recognize the voice?
<Seth> Hmmm... guess not...
* Seth looks up at Leon.
<Seth> Hmm, I can't say I'm familiar with it.
<Tahn> Not sure. I've known a lot of people.
<Leon> It wasn't Bree, was it?
<Seth> I don't think so.
<Leon> Good.
<Seth> But uh, do you have a herb?
* Leon narrows his eyes at Seth, "If I did, do you really think I'd give it to you, little man?"
<Seth> Little...?
<Tahn> Leon...
<TheStoryteller> There's a few paths up ahead... a sharp right, left and straight forward.
<Seth> I'm 6'7"
<Tahn> Don't do this.
<Johnathan> Someone break out the yardstick.

<Leon> If you think because you're a tall drink of water you intimidate me, you're dead wrong. I've killed men seven feet tall.
<Tahn> Leon...
* Johnathan rolls his eyes. "Look, Leon. I might mention that he's in this with us now.. and he didn't have to be. Let's not start killing each other over a hypothetical herb, huh?"

<Seth> But, yes, if you did have a herb I think you would give me one.
<Celyna> Leon, shouldn't we be saving that aggression for the guy who really deserves it? Let's pick a route and hope for the best.
<Leon> Then you don't know me very well.

<Seth> Three ways to go.

* Tahn tosses a dagger down the left path... making sure it's low enough not to hit anyone.
<Leon> How about we split up.
<Haylee> Left...

<Johnathan> Donno if that's a good idea, Leon.
* Leon licks his finger and holds it in front of the left tunnel.
<Haylee> You know...
<Johnathan> I hate to admit it, but I might just be utterly useless down here... I certainly don't intend to wander off on my own.
* Haylee tries to focus her mind...so she can feel the aura of the one who was moaning, if possible. ^_^
<Seth> Leon? Trying to catch bees?
<Leon> No fool, I'm seeing which way leads to the surface.
<Tahn> ...Wait a minute, John.
<Seth> But what if neither ways leads to the surface?
* Tahn takes the Fire Staff he realizes he still has ^^;
<TheStoryteller> As soon as Tahn releases the dagger, he hears a high pitched squeak as it strikes the rocky wall.
* Tahn blinks.
<Haylee> A rat?
<Tahn> ...
<Tahn> Perhaps.
<Leon> Oh fuck it..I'm going left.
* Xavier comes out of hiding.
<Tahn> Perhaps.
<Xavier> Hey everyone!
<Leon> ...maybe not..
<Seth> Hey, look! It's a fox.
<Xavier> I found Adam.

* Xavier looks at Seth.

<Johnathan> Well, we know how the next door we run into will be opened now...

* Leon turns back and continues.
* Xavier jumps on to Haylee.
* Tahn looks at Celyna as his voice darkens. "Yes. I do."
<Seth> Hmm...
<Haylee> Hey Xavier. ^_^
<Xavier> Miss me?
<Johnathan> I don't reccomend it, Tahn..
<Tahn> Why not?
<Seth> Hmmm....
<Johnathan> Believe it or not, life's worth living.

Zaback Diamond Mines, Second Stratus Storage

<TheStoryteller> Down the left is more of the rather dull, rocky decor... though there is a few rows of doors along the rightmost side. They appear to be storage lockers.
<Haylee> ^_^ Of course. *Rubs under Xavier's chin*
<Tahn> ...
<Seth> Hey, mister ferret, lead us to the door.
* Tahn glares at John.
<Leon> Looks like a lockerroom.
<Tahn> You _would_ say that.
<Haylee> Should we raid it?

* Xavier jumps off Haylee.
* Seth opens up a locker.
<TheStoryteller> You hear some moaning again. It's definitely coming from here... and it's a man's voice.
* Johnathan glares back. "What's that supposed to mean?"
* Xavier walks down the left path.
<Leon> Fuck..we've walked into the trap.
<TheStoryteller> Seth finds an empty storage area... nothing of interest.
* Haylee is oblivious to John and Tahn's arguement, trying to find out who's moaning...
<Tahn> You know what it means.
* Seth tries opening all the lockers.
* Johnathan snorts. "Oh, I forgot. You believe in 'fate', don't you."
<Tahn> Not so.
<Xavier> Seth open the 5th door. That should be it.
<TheStoryteller> Haylee can feel a familiar mind in the waves of pain...
<Tahn> Fate has nothing to do with this.
* Johnathan says that word as though it was a dirty one..
* Haylee blinks. "Adam?"
<Tahn> Fate has nothing to do with how one wishes to live.
<TheStoryteller> Seth finds some gravel, some shovels and tools, and finally in the 5th...
* Leon draws his rifle
<Johnathan> It doesn't even exist, Tahn. Life's what you make it, and you're not going to get anywhere looking at it the way you do.
* Xavier jumps back on Haylee.
<Tahn> Fate just dictates how we are born and how we die. Fate is simply the Alpha and Omega. Nothing in between. And fate is changeable.
<TheStoryteller> You find.. Adam.. He's tied up and his clothes and armor are shredded in various places from whippings apparently.. he's barely conscious. o_O
* Leon looks at John and Tahn, "Would you two really just shut up. Some lives are worth living, some are not. Fate is fate. Now shut the fuck up."
<Haylee> Adam!
* Adam moans.
<Tahn> Fine by me, Gunboy. For once I agree.
* Xavier runs up to Adam.
* Haylee kneels down by him and looks up at John. "Could you...?"
<Johnathan> Leon, why don't YO-... good lord.. look at him.
<Adam> Nicolette...Turless...why them...
<Seth> Hey bud, weren't you the one who busted up the nightclub?
* Leon kneels down, "Just think of how bad you would have been hurt had you decided to fight me?"
* Xavier chews on the rope.
* Adam is oblivious to everyone.
* Johnathan walks over to Adam, looking down at him. "Poor guy.. I can try, Haylee."
* Haylee smiles. "Thanks John..." ^_^\
<Xavier> Goddess, this tastes nasty.
<TheStoryteller> Xavier chews through the tough cords slowly, Adam easing up as they loosen considerably.
<Leon> Everyone be on your guard.
<Adam> Uhhh...
<Leon> We just walked into the trap.
<Xavier> Hey Tahn, want some?
<Adam> Whe...where am I...
* Johnathan closes his eyes, grits his teeth, and does his best to channel some healing energy into Adam despite the diamond interference.
<Tahn> I don't need your comments, Ferret-boy. I am _SO_ not in the mood.
* Haylee sings a song of healing under her breath.
<Xavier> PMS ?
* Tahn leans up against the wall and chucks one of his daggers into the ceiling.
<TheStoryteller> >> Johnathan and Haylee working together manage to fight the effects... Adam recovers 78 Hp!
* Leon starts to search the cave.
* Adam begins to move.
<TheStoryteller> Leon begins to search, as a klaxon starts to blare... the area is flooded in red light.
<Haylee> Ow!
<Leon> ..as I thought.
<Tahn> Heh.
<TheStoryteller> Two large metal doors slide down quickly at both ends.
* Haylee covers her ears. "Nice...Leon...Nice. Ow ow ow ow"
<Tahn> Come out, Ramon...
* Adam brings his hands up to his ears. "What noise... "
<Tahn> The day of reckoning is at hand.
* Leon eyes Haylee, "You are the morons that decided to help that idiot."
<Leon> You triggered the trap.
<Haylee> He was dying, Leon.
* Leon twirls his finger, "Whooptie fucking do."
<Johnathan> We triggered it?
* Adam notices who's in front of him. As he jumps up on his feet ready for battle.
<TheStoryteller> The floor starts to shake... it almost feels as if you're moving..
* Haylee glares at Leon.
<Tahn> I doubt it, John.
<Leon> Yes. The Locker he was in had a laser eye on it, obviously.
<Tahn> It was probably merely triggered by our entry.
<Adam> What have you infidels done?
* Xavier jumps on Haylee.
<Haylee> Saved your ass.
<Xavier> Save me!
<Johnathan> Saved your life.
* Haylee pets Xavier. ^^:
* Xavier looks at his ass.
* Leon snaps at Adam, "Shut up, or that Locker will have seemed like heaven to you."
<Seth> Hey uh, we just kinda, pulled you out of a locker.
* Tahn holds a dagger to Adam's throat "Give me any more of that 'Infidel' crap and I'll make sure they _can't_ heal you."
<Adam> Looks more like you triggered some sort of alarm system.
<Seth> And pretty much saved you from death.
<Haylee> Hey, all of you, knock it off!
<Seth> So shut up and be thankful.
* Adam, with a quick gesture, throws Tahn to the ground.
<Adam> Don't try that on a Virtue guard, thank you.
* Tahn gets right back up.
<Haylee> We're obviously fighting the same enemy, so we need a truce here!
<Tahn> Haylee, WHO ASKED YOU?!
<Adam> Now everyone, I'm not here to fight.
<Leon> Well since the trap has been sprung...there's nothing you can do.
<Leon> Just sit down, shut your mouth, and wait.
<TheStoryteller> Come to think of it, this could be a sort of elevator for materials.. and it's obviously going.. down.
<Haylee> No one, but Virtue said the same thing!
<Adam> This young woman *keeps his balance
* saved me. And for that I call a truce, until we get out of here.

Zaback Diamond Mines, Third Stratus Storage

* Leon pushes the lockers over.
* Tahn throws another dagger into the ceiling...
* Johnathan closes his eyes. "I swear, this is so stupid."
<TheStoryteller> A couple fall over, making a LOUD metal clang.
* Leon seems to be creating some kind of wall.
* Haylee falls on her butt.
<Haylee> Agh!
<Leon> Everyone stay behind these lockers.
<Leon> It could be a shoot out.
* Adam goes over slowly and carefully and picks up his bastard sword.
<Tahn> Good for you, Leon. I'm not moving.
<Adam> There, now we'll be ready for anything.
<Tahn> Death would be a luxury I'd accept.
<Leon> You'll move if I want you to.
<Haylee> Oh stop being mister PMS poster boy and MOVE!
* Haylee pulls Tahn behind one of the lockers. :P
* Xavier falls off Haylee.
<Xavier> Ouch.

* Johnathan steps back behind the lockers.
* Xavier runs around the room.
<Adam> You people actually have a "pet" with you at times like these?
* Seth takes up a front position, standing in front of John and Haylee.
<Haylee> ...Oh that tough guy talk won't work on me. Grow up Tahn.
<Xavier> We're going to die, We're going to die!
<Tahn> Get a clue, Haylee.
* Xavier bites Adam.

<Leon> I believe there's another portion of the mines..

<TheStoryteller> The movement quickly halts and the whole room shudders once. Apparently you've stopped.
<Tahn> Make me, Mister Emili.
<Xavier> Hey Tahn, I don't like this guy.
<Johnathan> Listen, Tahn. We're in a tight situation, and we DON'T need your acting like a child throwing a tantrum.
<Leon> Get ready.
<Tahn> Ferret boy.. I am _not_ the one you want to talk to right now.
* Tahn looks at John "Who's throwing a tantrum?
<Leon> Ramon's found the Black Dragon Cave.

<Adam> YOu people are supposed to be the famous group that is on the run from the church? You all are acting like an immature group of clowns. Now if you all want to get out of this, I suggest you all shut up and think of a plan.
<Seth> The Black Dragon Cave?
<Xavier> Wait, can he hear me?
* Tahn pulls out his last dagger.
<Adam> Who's the leader of this group?
<Seth> But... why does he need it?
<Johnathan> The black cave...?
* Tahn looks at Adam "As of now, you are."
<Johnathan> This group doesn't need a leader, Adam.
<Xavier> I am.
<TheStoryteller> Before you get a chance to think on Adam's words, the doors slide up...
* Haylee jumps!
<Adam> A regiment needs a leader, or else hell will break lose in times like these.
<Leon> Well, everyone's following me like a whipped pup.
<Leon> So I guess I'm the leader.
<TheStoryteller> Behind them are 4 gunmen on both sides, dressed in business suits.
<Xavier> We're free, we're free!
<Leon> Now shut up and get ready for a fight.
<Adam> Fine, I will be the leader as you say.
<Haylee> Hey, it's the Turks!
<TheStoryteller> The immediately start firing, as you take cover behind the lockers.
* Xavier runs toward doors.
<Leon> Bloody hell.
<Tahn> ...
<Johnathan> ..shit!
* Haylee runs behind the lockers. "And they're angry!"
* Leon returns fire.
* Xavier turns back.
<Xavier> AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
* Tahn stands still. Let them shoot me, I don't care. ^_-
* Adam stands there reflecting the bullets back as they bounce off his sword, noticing Leon standing nearby, not caring if he gets hit or not.

* Xavier runs behind Adam.
* Seth whips out his sword and flings against several rows of bullets, richeting them off it.
<Adam> Get lost rat.
<Tahn> Hmm.
<Xavier> I'M A FUCKING FERRET.
* Tahn pulls two more daggers out from each boot.
<Seth> Ugh, this is gonna get ugly.
* Seth sighs heavily.
<Leon> I told you fucking idiots not to come.
<Seth> I hate fighting...
<Xavier> COME ON, SAY IT WITH ME... FERRET.
<TheStoryteller> >> Xavier's turn.

* Xavier's eyes turn bright red as he stares at the enemy, sizing them up. In a blink of an eye, he charges at the line of enemies, you see nothing but a blur as all the enemies are left with scratches on them..."Feral Fury!" You then see Xavier licking his paws as he has an evil grin on his face.
* Tahn raises an eybrow at Leon. "You make it sound like I'd be better off living."
<Adam> What in the goddess was that?
<Tahn> Oh, by the way...
* Tahn holds the Flame Jo out to Johnathan. "You might want this. I have no need for it."
<Adam> There seems to be more about that pet of yours than I first thought.
* Johnathan takes it back. "Thank you, Tahn... I may just need this."
<TheStoryteller> >> Xavier goes wild on the rear formation! Mafioso E-H take 63 damage a piece!
* Haylee mind links Adam to Xavier for fun. ;)
<Seth> Uh, he's not a pet... at least I don't think so.

* Tahn turns back to the enemies in front of him.

<Tahn> Tahn Igtenos. Don't forget that name.
* Johnathan sighs, relaxing. "It's no use.. I don't know what the hell.."
<Adam> If you have any personal issues you would like to discuss about anyone here. Me being the leader that I appointed myself as..
* Adam looks at Leon. "Listen you water pistol holder. Just do what you do best, fight and make believe you're tough."

* Tahn pulls out a handful of daggers and fires them out in an arc, impaling the front row!
* Leon eyes Adam, "Number 1, you're not my leader. I'm my leader. I do what I want, when I want. Number 2, this is a rifle, you fucking twit, not a pistol."
<Johnathan> Adam, there's something you're missing. You're not OUR leader. You're the church's tool... so I don't know what that makes you.
<Tahn> It makes him delusional.

<Leon> Soldier boy is almost as annoying as Scott and his flying Tuesday's Lunch Special with extra eggrolls attack.
<TheStoryteller> Celyna morphs her Serpent Blade into it's whip form, and lashes at the Front row of attackers!
<Haylee> If you keep fighting like this, you'll get killed because you can't get along! Don't you see that?
<Adam> (I'm just so used to being the leader...I can't be second hand string.)

* Haylee closes her eyes tightly and her body begins to glow soft white. She floats a bit into the air, propelled by unseen forces, and points her hands at the opposition. "Searing mental flames...engulf them now! Pysche!" She flings her hands out and a wave of mental energy rips through all the enemies!
* Leon growls, "This whole thing is a personal issue to me! Mind your own fucking business, and take care of your own ass!"
<Xavier> Would you all shut the fuck up! I have a headache and can someone please tell Leon that.
<TheStoryteller> >> Haylee tries to Focus.. but the field in here saps most of the force of her Psyche spell.. the Mafiosos each take 3 damage.
<Adam> I would me more than happy too.
* Haylee sighs and falls to the ground, on her butt. ^^;
<Tahn> Leon... would it be possible for you to shoot the ferret?
* Xavier runs to Haylee.
<Adam> By the way Pistol boy, the ferret says shut the fuck up.
<Leon> Later, certainly.

* Haylee picks Xavier up.

* Bree blinks. "Scott? Ishtar?" She casually stomps Xaiver's tail as she heads down the tunnel back to them.
