| Bree Ann De Alkirk
Mayor of New Meribia ![]() |
As the current leader of the Blue Star's largest and original colony, Bree is without question the most influencial figure in the world. Her DeAlikirk family charisma and resourcefulness in the reconstruction efforts have won her many admirers, but not everyone is happy with her leadership. In recent times, more and more pioneers have criticized her inherent selfish attitude and hoarded personal wealth as actually being detrimental to continued progress and setting a bad example for the people who's future she holds in her rogueish hands. Despite the advice of her aides and even certain former Truth Seekers, she continues to turn a blind eye to the rising dissent. But even her patented Bunny Karate skills can't protect her from the real threat to her rule that will soon surface -- this fugitive from time is about to be caught. |
| Astorian Dojo
Martial Arts School ![]() |
No citizen can pass through the Horam district without encountering one of the many students of this kendo swordfighting school. These pupils carry on the legacy of the old Truth Seeker Scott Astorian, aging master of the Katamari blade-drawing technique and a unique brand of ancient Star magic, melded together into an efficient fighting style of deadly speed and power. And it is within the walls of this honorable dojo that rests the sacred 'Misogi', a katana with the power to purge evil spirits. Since it's use in the battle with the demon Zeio once long ago, it has been silently sleeping, but now it has started to resonate again... |
| Liza Rosetta
Public Advocate ![]() |
Behind every good woman is... another woman. Or so Liza likes to think. After a fated encounter with Bree in battle, this former Rancor's Fang member gave up her life of organized crime in Zaback to start over on the Blue Star. With her vast array of people skills, she is entirely to credit in the running of day to day life in Meribia that Bree wouldn't touch otherwise. And when not doing human resources, she's protecting her leading lady with her Blue Dragon Karate skills. Though she never did get around to the rematch with Bree, Liza assisted in training the all-female security that keeps the peace in the city. (Just why is Bree surrounded by women anyway...?) |
| Mel & Jessica De Alkirk
Port Authority ![]() ![]() |
Hell Mel and his saucy daughter sail the high seas again from their favorite port of origin, not as a priestess and a pirate, but as two of Meribia's best known navigators. The sea is even more unforgiving than the land in this brave new world, so not just anyone can tame it. The most startling discovery this pair has recently made is extending the frontier outposts to the unknown lands that exist across the Atlantic Ocean, Europa and Africanis. While no explorer teams have officially made landfall there yet, it is only a matter of time. |
| Alex & Luna Caldor
Burg Farming Collective ![]() ![]() |
Once they each fought as a Dragonmaster and a Goddess, but now their spirits have found rest on the plains of the Blue Star. Though technology can enrich the land, people are needed to work it again and produce food for the struggling colonists. It is to this task that Alex & Luna were appointed to, one they persue with a quiet passion. They also can't help getting asked about the two curious pets they keep, a set of white and red cats with wings aptly named Nall & Ruby. |
| Ramus
Merchant's Guild ![]() |
Ramus' heart was always in the business end of heroism and the lure of a fresh new world and new opportunities was one he could just not resist being attracted to. Given permission from Bree to encourage commerce, he has set about building a great empire of stores, one in every budding city. Not as selfish as his mayoral superior, he has also went to great lengths to finance many journeys by explorers into the wilderness. Now if only he could make Lemina & Bree his star Bunny Girls, then life would be perfect. |
| Kyle Nanza
Frontier Security ![]() |
While Liza handles the home front, Kyle reprises his old role as Meribia's faithful (if flaky) strong arm out in the wilds. He and his band of men currently patrol the Panama Barrier as well as the Rocky Mountain passes, protecting explorers who head out into these regions from their many dangers. When he has off time, Kyle just loves to frequent the city's taverns and brag about his heroics to the apple of his eye when she's in port, but Jessica usally gets more angry than impressed at his bravado. |
| Lemia Ausa & Borgan Zaback
Order of the Black Rose ![]() ![]() |
Though one would expect to find these two resurrected magi in the halls of the Hylan academy, they found more of a home in the big city, forming the hub of what would be the new incarnation of the mysterious Black Rose Street. Some people have their doubts about the motives of Borgan in particular, but he and Lemina seem very content to run a mystical goods store, a little out of place in a world without the old magics. Just what are they not telling everyone and why? |
| Franz Jinzel
Young Dissident ![]() |
This little troublemaker is known throughout the streets of New Meribia as not only a street urchin, but one with a pronounced political streak. He has been imprisoned for numerous minor offenses, but the most dangerous one is his rare courage to openly defy mayor Bree DeAlkirk. Considered the informal leader of a loose network of disaffected townsmen, his clandestine agents plan ways to undermine the cloak of godliness Bree has in the eyes of the population and kick-start the revolt that everyone knows is waiting to happen. Rumors say they have funding from some powerful groups which would like to see Bree's reign end, but the government has not traced the money trail just yet. Mayor Bree has even accused Jean of playing into their hands with the tournament... but will this ragtag band really be the one to humble the Truth Seeker? |
