Given the name Leah by her foster father Laike, this strange girl was found as an infant by the same explorer nearly 15 years ago all alone in the deserted Rocky mountains of North America. Dying of exposure, Laike fortunately was able to nurse her back to health while doing his best to find her parents, perhaps some brave couple that succumbed to rough frontier. Unfortunately, his search turned up not a trace of them, and he ended up taking Leah in under his wing rather than trust the sending her to one of the Virtue Society shelters. It became very obvious from an early point that both shared some special "bond" that could not be explained, only becoming stronger as she matured. Many discovered she had an alarmingly natural command of technique, able to create effects on a whim that other children would take years at the Hylan Academy to perform. However, perhaps it was that same strange bond that led her caretaker to keep her out of the school proper, letting Leah learn on her own as he did. This proved to be the right choice, as the once frail toddler grew in strength and confidence with each passing day. She began tagging along with him on his trips to conquer her fear of nature, and learned to respect it's might and beauty while also how to survive on her own as an explorer. It seemed a very peaceful and happy life, but then the nightmares started... |
