Hylan Academy
Institute For Advancement & Learning
Johnathan Hylan
Founder & Reclusive Time Magi
Johnathan

Undoubtedly one of the most potent Truth Seekers, Johnathan Hylan was not content to rest as others did. With his growing powers came larger awareness of the looming future threat of Zophar, one he realized only careful planning and preparation could overcome. The Academy was one such entity he formed to bring about this end. However, the closer he drew to Haylee and others in his sense of progress, the more he began to realize how far away he truly was. Johnathan retreated into the solitude of his dimentional study beyond time longer and longer, eventually working almost entirely through his lover in the physical plane via their immense psychic link. His distance from Haylee had even begun to wane, but now he is suddenly drawing close to some sort of direct action. As to what this is, the only clue is that it somehow involves the Goddess Festival...

Haylee Hylan
Headmistress & Songstress
Haylee

After the dust had settled 20 years ago, Haylee drew closer to the ourcast fellow Truth Seeker Johnathan, helping him realize his dream of educating the new generation of people about the future and the forgotten ways of spirit technique. Considering the reclusive nature of her husband, Haylee took over the mantle of running the day-to-day affairs of the Academy from him, being more comfortable in the public eye. While not performing her dean duties, she also teaches classes on Mentalism and manages the choir. Everyone from around Lunar knows the magical qualities of her singing, and Jean is hoping to have her perform at the festival this year. Though very busy, Haylee has surprisingly made time for it -- for in her mind's ear she hears the voice of her husband calling her there.

Nash & Mia Ausa
Professors of Technique
NashMia

Two of Lunar's greatest ancient mages were among the first to join Johnathan's school, becoming two of the most prestigious teachers at the Academy and driving forces behind the new techniques appearing on the Blue Star. Nash loves to debate constantly with Johnathan about new ideas for curriculum even though he's rebuked more often than not, but Mia does enjoy his attempts at impressing her, even if she does not openly admit it. The two are expecting their first child soon, though it seems Mia's mother Lemia is distracted form the happy news by something.

Lemina Ausa
Bursar & Examiner
Lemina Ausa

Yet another Ausa reborn, cousin Lemina is doing what she does best -- counting money and magic! She is the chairman of finance at Hylan Academy, doing her best to solicit tuition funds for continuing education as well as being a proctor for many of the final exams that students take upon graduation. She's been trying her best to get Ramus to loan the school silver to expand, but he's been making some far out demands... is she willing to swallow her pride for success?

Gwyn Salyan
Master of Archaeology
Gwyn

A top professor at the academy, Gwyn manages almost all of the information and relics coming in from digs all over the world. Every new find is like the next piece of a great puzzle, one he is working hard to solve before he passes on. One thing he still can't explain is why Hiro calls him "Grandpa" even though he can't remember being related to him -- a strange situation he has begun to discuss with Damon, who is feeling the same. Nevertheless, he can't resist the overpowering urge to constantly lecture "that boy" about throwing himself into danger again and again...

Damon
Master of History
Damon

Unlike the many brash adventurers that brave the wilds, Damon is more than happy to sit among the rows of books in the Academy's growing library, which in time may surpass ancient Vane's. This has resulted in him becoming walking dictionary of the pieces of history that archaelogists and scientists have pieced together of the Blue Star. He has also recently been consumed with the maddening urge that he's missing something in his records over the history of the homeland of Lunar... certain events he has a gut feeling that occured, but noone seems to have a recollection of.
