Appearance:
Angharad tends to be a little stand-offish due to the fact that she is
often discriminated against. When the Unraveling occurred and humanity
fled to the Blue Star, wolf guards aren't exactly the fellow citizens
people had expected to come with them. As a wolf guard pup she was
better equipped for survival than most humans and even beastpeople her
age, which tended to make many of her fellow orphans envious of her.
This has contributed her adulthood tendency to hold people at length
until they've proven themselves trustworthy.

Background:
She does know though, that wolf guards in general had not been invited
to the escape. The civilized world consisted of humans and beastpeople,
as the others newly orphaned were quick to remind her. None of them
could figure out how she even got as far as she did. Particularly cruel
were those who felt she had taken the place of a brother, sister, or
parent who should have come down but instead died on Lunar during the
Unraveling.
Early survival in the years that followed was relatively easy for her in
comparision to others. Unlike the "civilized" races, she'd possessed a
hunter mentality almost since birth. Sniffing, listening, and even
scavenging came naturally to her. Given the number of orphaned
children, space was scarce even when orphanages existed, so Angharad
never tried to find a place for herself in one. What human altruism did
not provide she generally could russle up on her own. She never did
quite outgrow the feeling though that she may have taken someone else's
place in coming to the Blue Star, that perhaps someone had been left
behind on Lunar because of her.
Angharad spent her formative years in what eventually became New
Meribia's Commericial District where she met four other wolf guards who
had also made it to Lunar. Like her they subsisted on the fringe of
society. All but one of them eventually resorted to thuggery as a means
to earn money, something which she steadfastly refused to do. Still,
they made for understanding companions in a city where no other wolf
guards existed. What disturbed her the most though was when she turned
twenty and they told her of a most unusual rumor. They said that the
Vile Tribe had also made it to Lunar and was looking for "descendants of
their warriors" to join them.
Angharad knows that in Lunar's past the wolf guards had once been a part
of the Vile Tribe, serving in some age old conflict, but after a certain
setback, the Vile Tribe was not quite the power it used to be and the
various factions that had once comprised it were no longer united. Wolf
guards had been lowly folk of the Frontier, not as powerful as the
demonic variety of Viles. Angharad does not personally consider herself
beholden to the Vile Tribe since after all they had never done anything
for her, but her fellow wolf guards felt their ancestral ties bade them
to at least investigate. After all, they probably belonged to the Viles
more than humans and beastpeople.
Shortly after that, three of the wolf guards disappeared and one was
found dead in an alley. The one who'd died had been the one who tried
to play by humanity's rules. Angharad took that as her cue to leave and
at that point left New Meribia for New Pao. This was five years ago.
In New Pao, Angharad is the only wolf guard in town, but because this is
a frontier land where all hands are needed, she's tolerated if not fully
appreciated as long as she does her work and she does it well.
